This is a difficult review to pen. HOWEVER, I will highlight the experience and issues, and state for the record, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ROHALEYS. While being extorted, threatened and bullied at another local shop, Universal in Mentor, by the owner Kevin, I had my truck towed away, and brought to ROHALEYS. I discussed with the owner, Alec, who understood I had an aftermarket warranty. He and I both lamented, and despised the company, but, being over the barrel, I had little choice. Anyway, so in our conversations, Alec stated he hated the aftermarket warranty companies, and even more, the engine in my truck... he explained that he had done many rebuilds, and really didn't want anything to do with my repairs... however, realizing that I needed to remove it from universal, who told me they would not work with my warranty company, and discuss the 1/2 dozen findings, and repairs I'd already authorized, unless I gave them a blank check to keep charging up my bill, without clearing the work that had already been done with the warranty company, I called ROHALEYS. I spoke with the son, in Alecs absence, who he was WELL AWARE, even involved in the previous conversations, and as I explained the situation, I was told, " I'll send my tow truck and bring it here...". I explained that "dad" really didn't want the job, but I was ASSURED, " no problem, we'll pick it up, and try to see about getting you taken care of". And, so it went. After 3 months, even paying many hundreds of dollars more for ancillary repairs, like a new water pump, T-stat, belts hoses, and clamps, and having paid $950 to ship it from Ohio to my new state, I received the truck with the check engine light on... WHEN I CALLED AND SPOKE TO ALEC, HE TOLD ME HE DID NOT HAVE TIME TO DEAL WITH ME, AND ACCUSED ME OF GOING BEHIND HIS BACK AND HAVING MY TRUCK TOWED THERE, even though I explained what I was told by his son... AND, AFTER RECEIVING MY TRUCK, WITH THEIR TOW GUY, AT NO TIME EVER! did he communicate to me that he didn't want to do the job... in fact, they were seemingly interested, and helpful... after inspection, and double verification, (by two other licensed mechanics/ shops), I came to realize that the the new water pump, new hoses, new clamps... prolly the T-stat as well, ( didn't tear apart the engine to find iut...), has NOT BEEN CHANGED, ALTHOUGH PAID FOR. LETS FAST FORWARD 4 MONTHS LATER... all the work, nearly $4000.00, wasted. The entire job they did, just failed, and I need to do it again( if...it was actually ever done the first time...). I was told by the dealership, that when they did the work, they were supposed to have r&r a computer system, that would have prevented the engine from blowing out again, but they did not inform me, nor install it... $4000, wasted, and I need a new engine.( it's only $6000.00 to have the entire lowered and upper ends rebuilt with new EVERYTHING.... ). AT THE END IF THE DAY, and based on his responses, I feel that because they knew I was leaving the state, and would have had no recourses, they stuck it to me, and Good! Since when I brought it to universal tire and auto, and told them, " before doing anything, CHECK THE FUEL SENSOR", as I'm not getting fuel... universal refused to do it, but changed, and charged for a lot of other things... ROHALEYS, checked, and changed the fuel sensor, and it started right up, and ran... did it need all the other engine repairs, only they, and God knows... Did ROHALEYS treat me right? With respect? Did the do what they charged me for? No. No. And No. Do I recommend ROHALEYS? No. Am I going to have to spend time, and go to court over this, Yes... unfortunately, the detailer did the engine, but you can see the old hoses and old clamps at the clamp ends...and that is NOT A NO EW WATER PUMP, NOR A NEW T-STAT HOUSING ... YOU'D HAVE THOUGH, AFTER EXPLAINING I WAS A MECHANIC, ALBEIT 15 YEARS AGO, THEY'D HAVE HAD SOME INTEGRITY, BUT I GUESS THATS ASKING TOO MUCH...

These guys are great. Very friendly and personalized help with your vehicle, and very transparent with exactly what needs to be done and why - and what doesn t need to be done as well. I found their honest and transparent approach to be a breath of fresh air.

My car is a mess. I've been in a lot lately to see my options and figure it out.These guys really have amazing advice and they know what they're doing. Jim is a silly billy and always makes me feel better because car stuff is really stressful! They're honest and great people.

This place has great customer service and they've always been able to fix my car and handle the maintenance. It's always easy to schedule appointments and they're so honest, patient, and knowledgeable. Also they've got some good looking dudes working there. So yes I recommend this place

My family has used Rohaley s s in the past, and I finally had the opportunity to bring my vehicle into them today. I found them to be extremely friendly, helpful, and honest. They did all the work I asked and completed the inspections I requested. I am very pleased with their service and will use them going forward.

You can totally trust these guys, never try and sell you things you don't need. Outstanding repair work and a super contact to have to just ask for advise.2024: Even better - had a car issue far out of town and Al coached us over the phone on what to watch for at the dealer and only et the necessary things fixed. Separately we needed work that was best done at the dealer. Al gave us the contact and the right info to have just what we needed done.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto exhaust system repair, Engine repair, Auto A/C replacement, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance

Al, his son and the whole Rohaley Team are excellent. When searching for a lifetime mechanic, it s tough to find honest, friendly and knowledgeable shops. These guys are all that and more, happy I never have to worry where I m taking my car to get repaired again!!!

I don't write reviews often, however the crew at Rohaley's do an outstanding job so this feels very warranted. They've earned our trust over the past few years, their work is great, pricing is affordable, and they've gotten us out of a bind more than once. We feel like a part of their family when we come in, they are always friendly, and they go out of their way to make sure our cars are taken care of. I try to educate myself as much as I can on the various nuances and issues with our vehicles, and have never felt taken advantage of or misled. Kudos to Al, Alec, Jim and the team there for running a business with integrity, empathy, and professionalism. If that is what you're looking for in a mechanic, give them a ring. Very trustworthy and well priced. They look out for the drivers safety and not what they can make the most money on in repairs. Dealership tried to tell me I had $1200+ needed in brake and hose work and Rohaleys was able to repair for 1/4 of the cost by finding the real issue to just be rust needing cleaned. I brought my car in to get an estimate for breaks. First time ever coming here. I spoke with Al and he took my car back right away and let me know what needed. I was quoted $350-750 the higher end if I ended up needing Calipers. He was able to save my rear Calipers so it saved me money. I was so thrilled! He also said my front breaks still had about 50% left. Most shops would have tried to get me to replace even if it wasn't needed. He was very accommodating. I dropped my car off right at 7am and my car was done within a couple of hours. Only cost me $350 out the door. Honest shop and wonderful service. Highly recommend. Will be coming back for future repairs and will be sharing with my friends and family. Thanks Rohaley's for the amazing service! Very happy and satisfied customer!Service: Brakes

This garage is great! Last Saturday night I was cruising down Tyler Rd from 615 to 306 when my battery light came on. One by one my lights started going out, and My Honda Pilot s engine completely died. Nothing! I cruised with no power as far as I could for about 1/10 of a mile and pulled into the last drive before it stopped altogether. It happened to be Rohaley s driveway. I left a note in the car and got a call from the owner Alec the next day. They were able to diagnose and replace my fried alternator, battery and serpentine belt on Monday for a righteous price. Great guys to deal with all around. It seems like fate brought me there the first time, but I ll definitely come back (hopefully under my own power) for future work! Btw, I took that same car to another (chain) garage the day before and they misdiagnosed my new whining in the engine sound as an AC compressor. Learned from Alec and Jim at Rohaley s that compressors knock and alternators whine. Thanks boys. This is a garage I highly recommend. 5 stars!Service: Electrical repair

I love this place!! I will never take my car anywhere else. I recommend everyone i know to them. I don't feel intimidated at all. They make sure I understand everything. If I have questions they're very patient and are happy to explain everything. Very trustworthy always make me feel comfortable. I just can't say enough about these guys they've done a lot for me. Very grateful!

My grandfather has always come here to get his cars taken care of, and I see why. The service is good, and for a smaller business, they have many customers like my grandfather who keep coming back. Just goes to show that they do a good job.

These guys are absolutely amazing! Was broke down and got stuck in Mentor otw to to my husbands daughter's graduation party. They were fully booked but still said bring it in... They not only fixed my jeep but got us on the road in time to get to his daughter. They really saved our whole weekend! I really can't thank them enough. So friendly, and just down right good people!!! I would definitely take my vehicles to them every time if they weren't 4hrs away!

I've been using Rohaley's for almost two years now and they never disappoint. Very fair pricing, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was on a road trip and had a muffler problem. I called a few chains who weren t able to get me in at all until the next day. I called Rohaley s and explained the situation. They were very sympathetic and they had me in and out in an hour and a half! Very friendly and professional, explained what was going on without being condescending, and very reasonably priced. Can t recommend highly enough.

Just moved to Ohio and asked a friend where to take my car in for service and he said this was the best place to go because they will only fix what needs fixed and won't upsale you. I couldn't be happier, fit me in within a reasonable amount of time, diagnosed the problem, told me what was going on and how to fix it. They ordered the part and had it fixed in a timely manner. I will be taking my SUV here for all my auto needs, including oil changes.

Al is a super great guy (and the entire team too) and always finds the time to take care of my car when needed. I trust him so much with my car that although I live in Columbus, I drive up to his shop. I highly recommend this place!

Friendly, personable, and clear both about what your needs are, as well as what actions they've taken. They'll explain things to you without condescending, and the staff appears to be hardworking, yet friendly. I received quick work at an affordable price. I'll be returning with my other vehicles.

I can't say enough about this place. I found Al during an unfortunate incident when my car broke down before Christmas. He arranged a tow during rush hour, got me in, and I was on my way the next day. Customer service is top notch as well, super accommodating. Plus he knows Saabs inside and out- he's the only mechanic I take my 9-3 to.
