I have been a customer of Earl Brothers for over 25 years and I wouldn't take any of my vehicles anywhere else. I take my new cars there for general maintenance and my used vehicles there, both personal and business, to keep them up and running. I have total trust. They have never tried to up sell me on anything, tell me something needs to be replaced that doesn't, in fact, quite the opposite. I left expecting to have had an expensive job done and had them tell me it was something simple. They could have just done the expensive job and I would have left not knowing any better. Gaining trust from me is a task, if you have it, you've earned it time and time again. Earl Brothers without a doubt has. I have recommended them over the years to so many people and everyone comes back sharing a similar positive experience. Prices are amazingly fair as well. I once took a vehicle in with an issue the dealer wanted over $1000 to fix. I left and went to Earl Brothers and it was 40% cheaper and the job was well done. I can't say enough good things about them. Thank you so much Earl Brothers for always being a company of the upmost integrity and for keeping me up and running!

Went in to get my transmission fluid replaced and left with a fat 200 dollar bill and my transmission oil still smelling burnt and looking very brown when it should be pink! They told me that my car did not have a drain plug for the transmission which I do know and the dipstick is located in the back. Decided to take a look myself since my transmission was still acting funny looks like I left with my vehicle un-serviced.Service: Transmission

My transmission went out on my car mid trip from New York to Wisconsin. I was told to call Earl Bros. Those guys went out of their way to help us out! They helped me make calls to car rental companies in the area, and they drove us all over until we found a place where we finally got a car to get us home. I have experienced nothing but excellent professional service every time I have needed any kind of repair or diagnostic work done on my vehicle. Dan is very knowledgeable experienced in auto transmission work to brakes, electrical repair, and more, not to mention very efficient and thorough in caring for your vehicle. I ve had to have ongoing maintenance done on my car for the last few months and Earl Brothers has been an absolute godsend to me. Jonathan and the team there do EXCELLENT work and you can t beat their prices. I ve never experienced such quality customer service. They went out of their way to provide service to me for a price that I can actually afford. I ll be going here for all of my needs from now on. Not your typical shop... So much more!!What my experience was, was nothing short of awesome and worth a review. the original diagnosis of my car was very bad. Earl Brothers Team found after getting the transmission out that it was not the transmission it was a different issue all together. I can only imagine the work and time it took to completely disassemble that part of my car. Earl Brothers called me, helped me understand the issue was minor in relation to what had been done already, let me know the cost was going to be just a couple of hundred bucks and I'd be back on the road again in a day or so. I was very impressed by the honesty and cost.Aaron

M truck was having some transmission issues, I have worked in the automotive field for about 5 years now at various businesses. To name a few Midas and Toledo Auto Care. I knew that with an issue like a transmission, that I would not want to take it to just any shop, but someone who specializes in transmission replacement and repair.I called Joel the manager there, he was informative and kind answering my questions and guiding me during all of this. I decided to give them my business after talking to him initially. They inspected it and found the front planetary gears failed in the transmission, offered me potential causes of the failure and gave me suggestions on how to proceed.I decided to get the transmission rebuilt with them. I asked them to look it over and they found the rear axle seals leaking (something I was already aware of but I wanted to make sure they were doing their job). I had them repair that as well.They told me the repair would take about a week, and gave me a loaner vehicle for the week.I got my vehicle back, and thus far has driven great, feels great, and I hope that it will last for hundreds of thousands of miles.I would give them 5 stars, and suggest this place for anyone who is having a transmission issue 100%. Great service at a fair price!

These guys know cars, they have the skill to match their knowledge and remain upfront and honest. As a single woman I feel comfortable discussing my vehicle with them and have full confidence they are doing the best possible to address the issue/concerns. Reasonable prices but you get what you pay for and they deserve every penny of what they charge!!

1200 miles from home our transmission went out. Not a good day. Dan and his crew made us feel better as much as possible with their upbeat attitude. Great workmanship and everything finally worked out. Great folks made a bad situation tolerable and we were on the road again in a few days. They even gave us a ride to a rental car place so we had a car while stranded and even called when we got home to make sure we made it. It was a pleasure to hear Dan's voice when he called. I recognized it right away. These guys care about their customers.

We needed to get our transmission checked out by a transmission shop, we chose Earl Brothers in Maumee due to reviews and they are close (also Earl Brothers has rebuilt other transmissions for us in years past). I was expecting them to call right away and say, yes you need a transmission rebuild please give us a large sum of money. Well the first call they said they did find the solenoid pack had issues. They wanted to try this first, but will find out afterwards. Well they did have to follow-up with having to rebuild the trans even after this. They gave me an estimate and I said go ahead. I contacted them early the day they said it would be finished and they told me that there was still some issues. They told me they would be in contact with me. Well turns out the computer wouldn't communicate with the transmission.... long story short, they installed a dealer computer and solenoid pack at NO ADDED CHARGE TO US! Now this is customer service!! I asked about it and they said they wanted it to be right and correct, so I paid what they quoted us. I am very impressed!! Now its been about a month since they did the work and all is still great, I am impressed with the work and would highly recommend them and I normally do all my own work on our vehicle so they impressed me! Great Job guys and Thank you!!

In the last week alone I have brought my car, my husband's truck, my daughter's and now my mother's car to Joel at Maumee Earl Bros, there is no one else I would trust with the safety of my family!! Each car was fixed quickly and the prices are so much more than fair! I have never met a mechanic with more integrity than Joel Cook. You have a customer for life!!! I would recommend everyone to bring their cars here, well that is if you want your car fixed right, fairly, honestly and for a great price.

Very disappointed. I took my Jeep to have an engine light diagnosed, which they told me was a misfire on a cylinder and the coil needed to be replaced. The check engine light returned twice within a week of having it serviced, so I returned it for them to replace the coil again on two separate occasions. Engine light was still on after their additional two attempts, so he suggested I call the dealership to have it diagnosed as a cylinder head issue. I spent $550 to be referred to the dealership who is now (luckily) covering the issue under an extended warranty. Essentially, I wasted $550 to completely bypass the actual problem. In addition, he also suggested I replace all 6 coils when in reality, 3/6 had been newly replaced by a family member in front of my own eyes. Completely took advantage, and shamelessly at that, of a young woman who was attempting to support a local business. Will never go back here!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Took my car in to put on a new suspension. They did an amazing job and kept me updated throughout the process and Joel who I spoke with was very professional. I would highly recommend anyone to use them. I will be sure to bring back my car anytime I have an issue. A+++ Service!

Recently l had the transmission rebuilt on my 2006 Honda Odyssey. When they called and said the work was completed I arrived to pick up my vehicle and all the dash warning lights were on. They had not been when I dropped the vehicle off. When I looked under the hood I saw that rather then unhook the wiring harness they had just cut all the wires and neglected to reattach them. When I inquired about it they said "An animal must have chewed through them." Really? An animal? It was just them taking a short cut. After some arguing they fixed the wiring at no additional cost. I have had electrical problems ever since. Not happy with my experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Absolutely fantastic. Was advised to come here from Midas, of all places, as there was an issue with my transmission. I had a warranty, but had no idea how to use it or if it would even cover me. Jim there save me a huge headache by doing all the hard work for me, such as contacting the warranty company with the details and all of the business nonsense.Only took them one day to order the part and install it, of which I had a loaner car from them to get to work and back. Left me a voice message at work so I could swing by and grab my car, now having a brand new transmission in it (and only paying $100 or so for a $1700 job)Could not recommend enough, and definitely plan on coming here for now on with any issues!

I have used them before for oil changes. Never needed to have a transmission done yet. But the gentleman I have dealt with Jonathan is no longer at this store. With much luck I was able to find him again at Mytee muffler on airport and reynolds still able to help out with all my needs there.

Earl Brothers And Their Whole Staff Are Amazing! They Fixed My Car In A Timely Manner And Were Very Personable. They Were Very Understanding With My Situation And They Talked Me Through Everything. They Also Did Some Other Stuff They Didn't Have To, Free. I Appreciate Their Honesty And How They Didn't Take Advantage Of A Woman Like Other Shops I Have Been Too. Thankful I Was Referred To Them. I had been having trouble with my car for months. I had taken it to 3 other auto repair companies (one of which is a dealer) with not much luck. As a matter of fact, the dealer had 2 chances to fix it - the 2nd company I will call the "Way Over Priced" shop had 2 chances, and a local mom/pop shop had 2 chances. All 6 visits to these shops came back with a miss-diagnosis. Not only could they not diagnose it correctly, they cost me a lot of money telling me it was something else that needed fixed. I prayed about what to do and Earl Brothers came to my mind.(I remember seeing their ads on the Christian TV station here in Toledo.) I made an appointment, told them my story, and Jon in the Maumee shop told me he could fix it. As a matter of fact: Jon said if I don't diagnose it correctly and fix it - there would be no charge. Hard to beat that, so I proceeded with Jon and the Maumee shop. Not only did they fix the original problem, they found a similar problem that I had not suspected. In the end...the cost to me to get my car repaired by Jon and his staff was VERY reasonable (especially considering the $'s I paid to fix miss-diagnosis). If YOU are looking for someone to treat you with respect, to be kind, courteous, honest, and know what they are doing.....Look no further. I am giving Jon and his staff 5 stars because I cannot give them 6! Thanks Jon & staff. You have earned this customers respect!Pastor FAS

Took my car in for what I thought was transmission issues. They said "its all good, no transmission issues" i asked them to look into engine lite on dash, after a HUGE bill lite still on and car still not running rite. Ended up at dealership and found out torque converter is bad. You would think transmission shop would have told me that from the start. I called them back and they sounded like they could care less....i wouldn't take my red wagon back to them....all my opinion of course.
