Bought my dream car yesterday From Mathews Hyundai! Jon Gwinner was amazing!!! He was fast, fun, efficient and honest! He worked diligently to get me the car I needed and even more so wanted! Kyle from finance was incredible as well as another Sales associate named Jeremy! I can t express anymore how truly grateful I am to each and every one of you!! I typically hate going into car dealerships as I do not trust salesmen. After explaining this to my salesman Jonathan, he was super down-to-earth and made the process of buying out my current lease easy. Marshall and Kyle in finance were also very nice, and helped me make informed decisions that were within my comfort zone. Even the salesman in the next cubicle was very friendly and chatted with me to help me feel at ease. I am still nervous in car dealerships, but this was easily one of the most comfortable experiences I have had while buying a car.

This dealership sent me a mailer and it contained a pull tab ticket that said to match 3 like symbols to win the associated prize. My ticket won $5,000. I brought the ticket into the dealership and they informed me that they used aggressive marketing to get people into the dealership. I hadn t actually won that prize unless the confirmation number on the card matched a number posted in the dealership. Since my confirmation number didn t match their poster, I just won a pair of ear buds. This was bait and switch. I would never trust them to purchase a car!!

Mathews was awesome to work with when buying the vehicle and every time we have taken it for schedule maintenance. I would highly recommend them when buying a vehicle as well when it needs work on. If you stop in to purchase make sure to ask for Jonathan he was great to work with!

Mathews HyundaiNO STARS IT MADE ME RATE IT AT LEAST ONE STAR BEFORE IT WOULD POSTIf you buy a car from this dealer I would suggest you have it service at a different dealerThe service dept at Mathews is beyond terribleEverytime I went there they were very rude and very untrained with their job and act as like you as a customer dont know what you are talking aboutI booked a appointment online and it was scheduled within a weekWhen I go their they had not even read the appointment scope of work to do so no parts were ordered and one of the problems was a recallSo my time was wasted driving 1 hrs getting there plus the fuel it took for doing nothing to my carIt's hard enough trying to get there in the first place beings I'm a senior and two I'm disabledI truly think that is why they treated with dis respect cause of my ageDefinitely don't buy from there if you are a seniorI also think cause the work being done was still under warranty and they were not going to make anything from itSad world any moreLast time I took my car there it was to change the oil and they also did a curiosity car wash and they just smeared the dirt around on my car and it look terrible, I couldnt hardly see out of the windowsI had to take it to a car wash and rewash itThey also told me my car didn't have certain features on it when I was asking how to operate the feature that I knew it did haveTook it to Taylor Hyundai in Findlay and they explained everything to me and even offered me coffee while I waitedWill never go back toMathews Hyundai or any Mathews dealership in Marion againBe wise and check out before you buy thereCan't go by a lot of the good reviews on there web site cause lot of these Companys pay tela market er to write those reviewsI witness this all first handGood Luck

The current Moneyopoly cash prize is blatantly fake. The winning pictures you see do NOT represent the actual prize. This is the dirtiest flyer I've seen. Straight, barefaced lie.

I got a mailer about a promotion Mathew s Hyundai was running. It looked like a lottery sort of thing. On the mailer it said if you got 3 of a house (which I did), you won $5000. I assumed it was a scam but called the number and they told me to come in. I even checked reviews and googled it to see if anyone else posted about their experience.I even told my kids it was a sack but we decided to go just to he sure- it was kind of like a weird lesson and we made it into a funny part of our day. One where they could realize the whole stereotype of car salesman is based in reality and to not trust corporations.I m embarrassed to say that I decided to make the trip to the dealership where a used car salesman stereotype sat me down at a table and tried to convince my husband and I to buy a car. Then walked us over to a table where there was a confirmation code that didn t match mine and he said since the confirmation code was the same, it didn t matter that there were 3 houses in a row. I tried to talk with him and understand. He said it doesn t say with words in the mailer that 3 houses means you win money . It DOES say with the pictures and a picture graph but maybe they don t have to be honest if they don t have printed words saying it?Just please don t waste your time going here like I did. I wish someone else had written this review before me so I wouldn t have wasted my family s time.I would now never buy or recommend this place to anyone I know because of shady business practices. A company shouldn t need a dishonest scam to get people in the door.

I've never purchased a vehicle here, so I can't comment on that. However, I have charged my car here a couple times and was extremely happy with that experience. One of the gentlemen I met inside was friendly and happy to answer an unrelated question I had. Aside from buying a car, I have a good impression of the place.

Would realistically give them 0 stars if possible. The worst part was that I was in for service less than week before this and trusted them with the service and liked how they took great care of us. After their dishonest and scam promotion stating you won $5000 cold hard cash (words from the person on the phone before coming in), we will never be back for any service or sales in the future. All they did was get our information, try to buy our car and give us headphones that didn t even work. Such a scam from what used to be a reliable company. Wouldn t trust them with anything car related again. And our prize person had camera glasses which seemed very sketchy. 0/5

The Monopoly game they are advertising is just a scam to get you to go to the store. Even if you match 3 symbols in a row you are not making any money. It is Incredibly scummy to show a 3 symbol match to people when it says right on the paper in bold letters with a exclamation mark that "MATCH=WIN" and then in small writing that is no where near that say that you have to go into the store to match an additional 9 digit number to actual win. If they are willing to pull tricks like this I am sure they will have no remorse pulling tricks on you while buying a car. So my recommendation is just go some else, also the dude I talk to there I could just tell was oozing scum.

They are definitely engaging in bait and switch tactics. After believing we won 5,000 dollars, my husband called the dealership as directed on the pamphlet. He gave our code and we were informed that we were winners and to come in and ask for the prize coordinator. Turns out that is any salesperson. Turns out everyone who comes in wins some subpar earbuds. So, they didn't really need our "winning number", it just made it sound more official. When we spoke with the salesperson, he even stated that "everyone who comes in thinks they won 5000 dollars." Our mistake was not being more clear on the phone. The only thing this promotion did for us was to make sure we would never be a customer.

This place is a scam. I received a moneyopoly thing from them saying I won $5,000 cash. Upon investigating turns out it s fake and apparently other people received it as well. This is false advertising and needs to be reported to the better business bureau.

Purchasing a vehicle from Mathews Hyundai was the best experience. Our salesman, Ryan Care was absolutely phenomenal and so great to work with. The entire buying process, from start to finish, was awesome. I would recommend Ryan and the Mathews dealership to anyone.

I will say Jackie was absolutely amazing. Met a lot of very nice people as we came in to get some paperwork for an accident lawsuit. We talked quite some time..an hour I believe and everyone was very kind and down to earth.

Promotion for winning a monopoly game of 5k turns out all you win is $10 headphones from Amazon don t waste anytime on seeing if your a winner this dealership is a big SCAM trying to get your info and to trade in your car sales rep chased me to the car and knocked on the window because we told the next people walking in we re getting scammed go somewhere else and get better customer service

Horrible place to get a vehicle in our opinion. The salesman Jon Gwinner was professional polite. An very funny. Good guy. Thanks for your service. . Editing my review. 7-21-22. Got the van little under a year ago. Good van. But started having problems with it. We bought the premium package warranty. Took it to them to work on. They say the main wire harness is shorting out. An their saying our warranty won't cover it. They say we bought it as is. But we spent 5k on the premium warranty. And they won't cover it. Mathews Hyundai. Right. Never again. Poor business. Can't even honor the warranty they sold me. An the salesman I mentioned at the beginning no longer works there.

Saw an ad and found a vehicle I liked. Filled out the online application and received a call shortly after from Jon. He went over all the financing questions and got to work on the deal. The next day, I went to the dealership and met with Jon. We test drove the car I chose and I was in and out within an hour. One of the best car buying experiences I have had. Jon was easy to work with and didn't pressure me at all.Amanda, the finance director, was super helpful and really friendly. She explained all of the bank paper work without wasting my entire day. Great people and a great place to buy a car.

This was the easiest most stress free car buying experience I have had. The dealership is beautiful and all of the staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It was such a good experience I took my dad to buy a Hyundai as well.

Wonderful sales and service. I've bought two cars now from here (the Santa Cruz and the Palisade) and haven't had any issues. Plus, they just remodeled the showroom and service department.

I have never been more disappointed with a new car purchase. The spare key they gave me belonged to another vehicle. That was discovered when the other vehicle was sold. Matthews Hyundai called me to come bring them the key, but it was their mistake, so they should've come to me to exchange them. I work in Columbus, and with the dealership's hours I couldn't come until Saturday. When I didn't come right away, a salesperson called to gripe at me. Wait/what?? It's your fault not mine. I was late for work to bring that key back, with no thanks or perk for their error. The seats were supposed to be scotch guarded - which I think cost $2,500 that was added to my purchase price. RIP OFF! The first spill on my seat stained it, so where's that scotch guard??? My paperwork was not completed correctly, so I had to go back to Matthews Hyundai to correct it. Then the lender sends me a letter that the dealership signed in the wrong spot, but said that could be overlooked.As far as service goes... The service for my free oil changes for the first 36,000 miles has been more than irritating. The excuses received left me to go find the sales manager, b/c I did not want to hear the same lame excuses from the service manager. My paperwork clearly states that I need to have my oil changed every 7,500 miles or else the warranty is voided. Also, you can change the oil +/- by 1,000 miles. They are making me wait for 10,000 miles for the last 2 oil changes. That takes the 5 free oil changes down to 3, so they can save money. Meanwhile, I worry about my warranty being voided as the records are clearly at the dealership. Secondly, the hours of the service department are less than desired. No Saturday hours with regular business hours Monday - Friday. So unless you can take time off from work, forget getting your service done here. Do yourself a favor and save the headache. There are other Hyundai dealerships.

These guys are great. Went in just looking and went home with a car. Tim worked really hard to get me in something nice, safe, and well within my payment range. The car had a small problem after i got it home. They got it taken care of the following day. Everyone was really nice and did all they could to make this a easy transaction. Will definitely work with them again!

They went above and beyond to help me get my engine replaced. Technically there was now warranty on the engine and a rod went out. They helped get it replaced free of charge and did a great job installing the new engine. I ve bought bought my last 6 cars from Mathews and I plan to buy my next car there as well.

We bought our 1st car from here on November of 21'. A 2022 Hyundai Palisade and we love it. We had our 1st complimentary oil change here last week 7/22 and we're very pleased with the service. If they keep it up, they just may have a customer for life!
