Girlfriend took her car in for a starter issue, they were to call to let her know what they found. More time had past then what should have not hearing from them, so she goes there and they have already swapped out the battery (without asking if she wanted that done) which a battery had already been purchased just in case, and they got an attitude when she asked if they at least put in the one she had, which they did not, they were trying to sell unnecessary parts and service.( Actually did charge for the battery swap that they did on their own) Didn't even test the starter to begin with, saying "well it started now" they should know as a starter fails it can still operate intermittently.Tested the starter after having to be instructed to, and what do you know, the starter was bad....Asked if she noticed any oil leaking because it was down a bit, wanted her to bring it back to check for a leak. She takes it in.... again no call...they don't end up finding a leak but do perform another unauthorized service...(for those who know anything about cars this may humor you) they cleaned the pcv valve, charging $45 to clean a $5-$7 part. Seriously??Back to the battery issue.... The other night on the way to work the car goes completely "black" everything just shuts off, headlights dash car itself etc....turns out the negative battery terminal was loose, as in just pulled right off loose, now based on the experience with this place so far I would safely say it was done purposely trying to get the car brought in again. That's dangerous.Watch out for the "local guide" reviews which most people by now know are fake. This place seems to either not know what they are doing or are scamming people. Probably both. Will not go back..

My truck broke down while visiting and left me stranded on main street. Walked down to Harris Automotive and they helped me arrange for a tow and repairs. They even recommended a great restaurant for Lunch! Thanks Karen you folks are the best!

Good knowledgeable people there with lots of experience. Always ready to help and whatever you need done Automotive wise From mechanic work to a very wide selection of tired and Alignment Service as well. A+ in my book.

Larry was friendly and helpful. While I was settling up with the secretary, he took my boys to the back and let them choose an ice cold pop and candy bar. He's an older gentleman with old time values.

I took my Subaru down for a new fuel pump. They used an after-market Airtex fuel pump, which does not have a good name among many online car forums and reviews were mainly bad for the product. The one they put in was louder than any "new" fuel pump I have ever heard. I was unhappy with not being told that generic aftermarket parts would be used before they actually put it in. The mechanic, Brian, is who I dealt with. He is THE only reason I am rating this as a 4 star. His customer service was above and beyond anything I expected! He makes Harris Automotive worth working with in my opinion! He removed the airtex fuel pump and replaced it with a Bosch that we purchased ourselves and did it for free of charge.

Very helpful and if you need hydraulic hoses made after hours they will try to accommodate you
