This is the place to go! I ran into Kroger came out my car would not start. I had it towed to Gillespie s Auto. He had it fixed and running the same day. I am a very pleased customer. Thank you. DFoor

This is the best automotive garage I've ever been to in a manny a year. Fast,friendly,and thorough. Very reasonable and honest. Have not went to another garage in over 6 years.!

They are just all around good people. A Christian family that gives you an honest estimate, a fair price and those guys have been fixing cars with their Dad since they were little. They are really smart and trustworthy.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my car in because of a noise, and was told that it would be 58 dollars for the exam. Well, they had my car from 8:30 am until 3 pm and I was called and told that they found NO REASON for the noise. I paid the fee and put my daughter in the car and left. IMMEDIATELY I began hearing the noise, so I turned around. They said it was probably a body creak. I argued that there was NO structural damage, and this was not the case. Only after arguing this did they attempt to find out anything else. Next, the mechanic calls over another guy who IMMEDIATELY says that my strut coil was broken. If it was this simple, why did they not see this to begin with? I took my car to the dealership after this to get a different opinion after this fiasco, and discovered multiple other things. I asked for the refund of my initial exam because they did nothing until I CAME BACK, and they told me that wasn't possible. They weren't looking for anything other than a noise, so they couldn't have diagnosed anything else. They didn't even open the hood. I wanted to support this local business, but was sadly dissapointed. I am mortified by the way that this ended. 0/5 Do Not Recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

While on vacation in the area my car was experiencing a misfire. I called Gillespie Auto and they were able to squeeze us into their schedule. They quickly fixed our issue and got us back on the road. Their rates are very reasonable and staff is wonderful. We were visiting from out of town when our car started making noises and shaking. We were nervous to drive home with our baby in the car. Dave looked at the car and identified that one of our tires was about to come off. Not only did Dave make time to fix our car on very short notice, but he wouldn t accept payment because he felt that it didn t take him any time. We are grateful to Dave and the team for making sure our car was safe to get us home.

They are absolutely AWESOME!!! I have a BMW X5, that I was having a ball joint and tie rod end getting put on. I tried to do it myself, but it had to be pressed off, and the new one pressed in. I rented one from AutoZone but I couldn't do it myself. So I called them, and they got me right in. I dropped my vehicle off, and within just a few hours, they called me to tell me it was done. I was amazed at how quickly they did the work, and how cheap they were. I have been ordering parts ever since, and am looking forward to calling them and making an appointment so they can put them on. I'd recommend this place to anybody! Such nice people, and you just can't find that anywhere these days.

I am absolutely amazed with this place!!!! My friend and I were visiting the hocking hills area when her brakes went out. We were given a couple numbers of local auto repair shops. The first 3 on the list wouldn't even try to see us. But, Gillespie's went out of their way to call in another mechanic, stop everything that they were doing on the cars ahead of us just to make sure my friends car was safe and drivable again. They even got it done in a few hours and waited for us to get the Logan public transit to get us back to pick up the car. Also, before leaving they even offered to give them a call if anything should happen on our way home. You don't get service like that anymore and I'm totally thankful and impressed! I highly recommend using Gillespie's for your car repair needs!! Very friendly and made me feel safe going home!! I should also add, they did a great deal of work for a good price. Knowing we were in a jam they took some of the labor costs off. I really can't say enough thank you's to this shop and all the employees. Major thank you!!

This is the only shop I will take any of my vehicles to! They are not only wonderful people but the service is amazing. Brittany G. We have went to Gillispies for years. There a family owned business and wonderful people. Our truck broke down one night and they stayed late to get it fixed for my husband to get to work the next morning. They have always done good work at a good price. And always discuss any problems before hand.

Just got word from another mechanic that was working on my car after just getting it tuned up. My car still wouldn t run so they investigated it further they told me my oxygen sensor was broken off and then zip tied back on and this was the last garage that worked on my car so I m pretty sure it was done at there garage. This ended up costing me an additional $200 on top of the $371 for the tuneup to get it fixed. So I ll never take my car back to this garage.

Do NOT take your vehicle to Gillespie auto!!!!! We called for a quote for an a/c compressor with the kit. We scheduled to put it in, then to find out they put a cheaper remanufactured compressor in. It worked for MAYBE 3 hours total, then we took it back in said it didnt work and was kicking my RPMs up everytime it tried to kick on. He replaced it with another remanufactured compressor. Still didn't work!! The Mechanic and i started arguing about the compressors because i paid for the new one with a kit. At this time he basically brushed me off and said he would replace a valve and only charge me for the part, THAT I TECHNICALLY ALREADY PAID FOR! He put that in, then called us saying it still doesn't work so finally ordered the new compressor and kit. He Put it in and STILL DIDN'T WORK!!!! He Then Called And Said He didn't know what was wrong with it and to take it to a dealership. Asked for my money back because they tired to Scam us and they REFUSED. So now im out $700 and 3 weeks of my life dealing with these shallow "mechanics"! I now have to spend even more money and take it somewhere else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AT ALL! RUN! AND RUN FAST!

Taken my vehicles here 4 times, for brakes, oil changes, ?cam position sensor actuator thingy? & seal that that needed replaced for it. Good work, good prices, close to home, no complaints. Will most likely take my next vehicle needs here, wether it be problems or maintenance.

I m from 4 hours away(Northwest Ohio) from Logan and I was having some serious car issues. I called these guys and even with there busy schedule with there regular customers they got me helped me figured the situation out and went ahead fixed it for me! Can t say how much I appreciate them helping me with this when I had no idea what I was gonna do! Thank you to you guys and if I have problems again I know I can turn to you guy s! I have seen the way they talk to a customer who had a complaint. Would not fix their own mistake. Ordered the customer off the lot. Treated the customer like a dog. BTW Customer is a 67 year old disabled veteran.

Would give them zero stars if I could can t perform a simple vehicle inspection for an insurance claim if they are even ase certified they should have there certification revoked

Supposedly ase certified but can not prove certification, have me the run around for 2 weeks trying to get documents. Do not go here
