Had the pleasure of taking the Kelley s Island Ferry to Kelley s Island, Ohio for the 2024 Solar eclipse. The men and women were hardworking, professional and helpful. Having never taken a ferry before, I along with my kids enjoyed the boat ride for our family and our car. The ferry was always on time, and safety was priority number one. Thank you Kelley s Island Ferry for ensuring the safe arrival and departure for my family.

Easy access, clean bathrooms at launch and landings, friendly ticket booth folks, took my bicycle for transportation. Was impressive how quickly they loaded the cars and the amount of vehicles they can fit in one take. In the busy months they run two ferries every 1/2 hour. They were running 1 every hour for my trip. Beautiful day with calm waters made for a 25 min ride. Evening and early morning are beautiful times to see sunset/sunrise so recommend those times.

Nice ride to Kelleys Island. Plenty of parking on the Marblehead side. The cost to take the hot rod was similar to a few hours golf cart rental. Kelleys Island has some great restaurants, casino, the glacial grooves, and great views of the lake.

The booth workers were friendly and its a very fast process when purchasing your ticket. Its impressive how many vehicles can actually fit on the ferry. Went in September when there is a ferry going to and from every hour. We took our car over to the island for the day. Ticket price for round trip with the car and 2 adults was $88.

Capable of transportation to and from Kelly's Island. The parking fee is atrocious.Other than that a good way to get to Kelly's. An added little warning, don't lose your ticket. Even if you paid for a round trip ticket, they will charge a one way ticket fee if you can't produce a ticket when you return to the mainland.

Love this Ferry service. It s phenomenal. I enjoy it more than the Miller Ferry service to PIB. KI is such a better experience. The men always do a phenomenal job getting the cars loaded on and off. They run half hours services which is incredible. The man power that goes behind running back and forth like that shouldn t go unrecognized. We love to get out of our car and enjoy the ride over to the island!

Took our camper over on the ferry to camp at the state park on Kelleys Island. The ferry is ran very efficiently and always on time. It s amazing how many vehicles can fit on the ferry! The ferry workers guide you on and tell you where to park. No problem taking the camper on and off the ferry. Highly recommended.

It was rather expensive, but the trip was worth it. We paid $24 a person and $40 for the car to go over. But the ride is fast and actually rather enjoyable. There are restrooms on the ferry that are actually very clean and nice.

First time walking rider. Was an enjoyable trip, and the boat captain and sailors were friendly and professional. Easy way to get over to the island, just watch your time if you need to return by a specific time.

Easy on easy off ferry on our way to the State Park. Our Sprinter van had no problems. We also had larger RVs and trucks on the ferry

We booked passage and waited in line, eager to experience the novelty of driving on a boat. Our wait was perfectly repaid, for up we went, off we cast and over we moved, the water parting at the bow as a welcoming open door. We quickly exited the car in trade for a deck view up a short flight of steps which rise above the convenient restrooms. Once above, we found benches occupied by some passengers crossing without an automobile, which first struck me as quite odd, until I realized that it was I who was the odd duck, and a foreigner to this way of life. There was plenty of room for a seat, and the views were lovely. To the West stood a lighthouse, all alone at the end of it's rocky home and standing sentinel to those in need, while to the East the hazy shapes of breathtaking rollercoasters among the other thrills of Cedar Point kept my head on a swivel. For a brief time I was a luxury passenger being escorted along the sights of Lake Erie to my island destination. Shortly thereafter, Kelly's Island came more clearly in view and the dream was over, the foreigner in me amazed by the fact that people, ordinary people, lived, worked and were eventually laid to rest in such remote loveliness. We found more than the glacial remains we initially set out to see. We found a little town in which golf carts are more suitable, and used. We found lovely parks, historical and modern homes, and the friendliest shop where local sea glass is turned into breathtaking jewelry. We found a place to which we want and plan to return. Take the trip if you can. It's worth it.

Perfect way to get to Kelley's Island. The cost is reasonable if you can't afford the golf cart rentals. Taking your car is an alternative option. The ferries are quick & the ride there & back to the mainland is relaxing & scenic at times. If you live in Ohio you must travel to the islands at least once.

Professional and dependable service. Never takes unnecessary risks for the safety of passengers and crew. Recently expanded the fleet with another high capacity ferry. Definitely worth checking out Kelleys Island via the Kelleys Island Ferry!

This is the ferry to go to Kelly s island. They have ferry every half an hour until 7 pmOn weekdays and 9 pm on weekends. This is for April to September. The staff are friendly and will tell you clear instructions if you are bringing a car, motorcycle or bike. They have dedicated deck on the ferry for people to sit and enjoy the view. It s very easy to bring your vehicle to ferry just drive in. Rates are reasonable. Must try if you are going to Kelly s island.

Great service, was a little surprised you paid for a car and a person but still cheaper than renting a golf cart for a half day or day. I just did a day trip to Kelleys Island to see the Glacial grooves. Fun ferry ride, you can see cedar point off in the distance on the return.Kelleys Island isn't huge, you could walk it in a day and probably see everything. A car, scooter or golf cart just makes that easier.

Get here in time and have your place booked online. Place filled up fast for the weekend. We got one of the last spots for tents. Very clean and people are nice.

Great boats. One company has a monopoly on the ferry to Kelley's Island so they can charge as much as they want.

It was a really cool way to get over to Kelley's Island! The ferry was faster than expected and it had some beautiful views on the way there. It was $80 for 3 adults and 1 child for round trip, a little expensive but understandable with fuel costs.

Sights are beautiful and they run at convenient times. However, they were running behind and the prices are high. The website lists prices, but slightly misleading. You are charged for the vehicle and every person in the vehicle. A car with 2 adults and a child over 11 costs $102 if you are planning to go camping in the state park.

The ferry was great. We pulled up and paid and then pulled right on. We got out and walked around. My daughter loved it.

We walked on at about 1:30 on a Saturday and there was left over room for at least 3 more cars! Staff is quick and efficient. And helpful! There are three different type of boats. We returned at about 6. Wasn't to bad, hit the early wave off the island.

We enjoyed our ride to and from Kelley Island. One of the boats had more room for passengers on an upper deck, the other had just a few spots and most passengers were standing around the cars which was a little odd to me but it worked out fine. Prices do see a little expensive but this ferry was cheaper than Jet Express and they have a senior discount which saved my parents over $30 on a round trip vs. Jet Express. Overall good experience.

Easy on, easy off! We have used them many times, even drove our 36' motor home on it.
