I m always skeptical of car places because as a young female, I have had multiple places pull a fast one on me and this is the only place I trust. I have had multiple great experiences with this location but today definitely topped it all. I m a broke grad school student, Scott was more than willing (as were the other employees) to help be get the best options for what I needed at a discounted price. They even replaced my super moldy cabin air filter for FREE because it was so bad and I truly could not afford that. That is something they didn t have to do, I appreciate it so much. I could not recommend them more!

Great fast service to replace a valve stem. Went to tire discounters first but they had the tire for 2 hours and never touched it. Thank you for the fast friendly service.

At approximately 5:50 PM on December 21st, 2023, I was driving on Harrison Avenue, and discovered a tire on my car was loosing air rapidly. In despair, I pulled in thinking I would have to leave the car overnight and come back and get it the next day, which presented several logistical challenges for myself living about 50 minutes away and planning to leave the next morning to go out of town to celebrate Christmas with my family. Pulling into Bob Sumerel, it was nearly closing time and I didn t know if I would even be helped or have to leave the car until the following morning.Dallas Clark, the store manager, happened to be working that afternoon. He seen how distressed I was and after learning of my situation, he told me to relax, and he would take care of me. He took it upon himself to stay late, patching my tire, and getting me on my way in about 30 minutes.His actions demonstrate the highest level of customer service one could ask for from a Bob Sumerel employee.Thank you, Dallas, and I ll be back to see you when I need a new set of tires.

Was charged quoted price.Chose this store over tire discounters because manager would not give me a quote without first knowing the specs of my tires. TD gave me A quote without knowing my tire needs. Felt as though TD just wanted to get me in the door.(Looking into it further, TD was 5 dollars cheaper, but estimated the wrong tire)No upcharges or last minute invoice changes. Was able to perform task needed within 1 day notice.Will use again.

I've used this shop many times, and they are always trustworthy, fair, and do good work. They also made a great recommendation for new tires on our CR-V to replace the factory originals.

The manager was really rude and had no clue what he was doing. He told me that the socket was what damaged my lugs, not the impact. Funny, I put them on with a socket and torque wrench. Willing to fight with me cause I called him out on it. That sob is not capable of checking the air pressure in your tires.

Had taken my daughters car in for a complete check up. Found out it had an oil leak. Paid over $1,200 to have it "fixed". Not even 5 days later the oil leak was back. Has the car towed back there. Wanted over $1,000 to fix it again. Even though parts and labor where under warranty. Same issue, same location. First time customer and will never recommend to anyone. Counter guy was extremely rude. Should have a zero star.

Just moved to Harrison a month ago (12/2022). Joe was great and offered some discount solutions as well as a free (through savings) AAA plan. Can also provide some services to my other foreign car. Thanks Joe, we looking forward to doing business with you in the future.

I drove from Tallahassee to Indiana to visit family. My steering wheel was shaking after being serviced at another shop in Tallahassee, Once I got to Indiana I called Bob sumerel after some family Recommendations, They told me that my tires were out at a balance and got it fixed in 1 hour, And got me back on the road making sure that me and my family could get where we're going safely. I want to sincerely think the entire sumerel team. !

Mike does an exceptional job recommending service on your vehicle along with tires. Brought mine in for tires and am very pleased with his recommendation. He also will be very upfront and honest with you every step of the way while your vehicle is in his care while not being pushy like the typical sales pitch. He does his best to give the customer what they want without breaking the bank, rather than most that try to reel the customer into something that THEY make the most money out of selling. Also service is a quick as they can make it.

My husband blew a trailer tire with a load of gravel on the trailer on a Saturday morning on the side of the road. They helped us with replacing the tire and making sure the rim was not to damaged. Service was super fast and did a great job! Would definitely come back for sure!

Let me start by saying how welcoming Joy at the front desk is. She is very attentive to your needs and concerns. Joy not only help me determine what tires and parts were best for my car/needs, but also kept me informed as the work was being done. She made me feel very comfortable with everything. Had my car towed in for a ball joint replacement after the wheel detached and pulled out the axle and they got it done in a day and a half. A few weeks later, the ball joints went out on the other side doing the exact same thing. After getting in touch with Mike, the manager, he assured me his tech had inspected both sides and they were fine the first time I brought it in, but he had the repairs done again with no labor cost as a courtesy. I really appreciated the care Mike displayed in keeping his customers happy and ensuring the best possible job. He even followed up by writing me a card to make sure everything is running smoothly. Great shop, super friendly crew. I dealt with Mike at other locations before and I still drive out of my way to deal with him in Harrison. He is super personable and will gladly get your car running at peak performance. I went with his recommendation on tires, and absolutely love them. Easy to deal with and great place to get ANY repair done on your car. Any oil changes and regular maintenance, this is the place to go. You will not be displeased!

Mike and his guys did a fantastic job on my truck. It would have been a few day to get the tires I asked for, Mike called and asked if it was ok for an "up grade" at no extra cost. My truck drives fantastic. Mike and crew always do a wonderful job for our family vehicles. Thank you!!

It was 6 pm on a day in March 2016 and my daughter and I were returning to Chicago from Cincinnati. We stopped for dinner and to get some gas and we noticed that one of the tires was flat. A quick Google search located Bob Sumerel Tire and Service just down the street from where we were. I called, explained the problem and indicated we were AAA members. Even though they were getting ready to close, they said they would wait for us to get there and would help us out.Gary Haynes was the team leader that night and he was extremely helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a lovely chat while the guys were fixing the tire. Everything was all fixed withing 20 minutes and we were ready to get back on the road. Garry didn't charge us and he didn't even ask for my AAA card.That kind of service provided by a local business leaves an excellent impression with travelers. I am very grateful to the whole team!

I had a very good experience here today, due to the kindness and excellent work of the staff here. Guy at the desk (don't know his name) was very fast and reassuring and fit me into their schedule when they didn't have to! My left front tire was about to blow, so they put a brand new tire on my rim & balanced it etc for 83 dollars. A little high but it was definitely worth it for the quality. The waiting area was clean and had complimentary waters & coffee! Tv as well. Their shop is clean & you could see they are dedicated. Will be my new tire- go to! ( they do more than just tires!!!! )There's a window where you can look and see them woroing on your car, and my son enjoyed watching the tech change my tire! Even though we were sort of in the way it didn't bother them one bit! So so so impressed.

My husband and I take our cars here all the time. We regularly get oil changes and they help us keep on task with regular maintenance. They are honest - that is important to me to be able to trust the people that work on our cars. Anytime there has been a problem (few times) they always make it right! We have AAA and we get a AAA discount off of oil changes and any labor.

Their staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The guys running the place whom I think are both named Mike are super knowledgeable and seem like super honest guys. They look you in the eye and shake your hand. I appreciate that in this day of shut up and give me your money. I heard somebody say they have a gas/diesel master mechanic on staff! This isn t just a tire shop!

Brought in my Rav 4 to have the spare taken off and the flat tire repaired... waited over 20 minutes to have the car brought into the bay and several more minutes for Mike to come out and tell me that the AAA person who put the spare tire on had stripped 2 lugnuts which would have to be broken off and then repaired. He said that they could do the repair there. Over that past 2 years, i have noticed that I m offered services that the car does not need. A year and half ago Mike told me that I needed brakes, front and back, gave me an estimate of $700 then told me to save my pennies . Curious, I took the car to a Master Mechanic with a fine reputation who told me that i needed front breaks at 1/3 the cost that Mike quoted me and that the rear brakes were good for 10,000 more miles...so, now being offered the opportunity to have whoever rip the nuts off the wheel, I decided to take it to the Toyota dealership... they found nothing wrong with the lug nuts in question! The treads were just fine, no damage and they had no trouble taking the spare off!! Either this is a sham or no one knows what they are doing at that store. As an aside, I was offered a maintainance service costing over $900. Took that estimate to the Toyota dealership and got a quote of just over $500 for the same service. I find it incredible that Sumerel tire could out bid a dealership !!!

Have used them multiple times in the past between myself and my Wife s cars. Stopped in and was basically told to call some time next week to setup an appointment. If your not willing to take the time to schedule an appointment because you are that lazy I don t think I will be calling again given there are multiple options and there is simply no excuse when you have no one else waiting in the office to just blow someone off.

Mike and the crew have always taken superior care of our cars. We moved 8 years ago and now live 45 min away, but we still take the time to make the drive to see them because we know without a doubt that they will take care of us 100%!

Last year my mom was told she needed a part replaced and she stalled having it done... Big time... But when I took it in they had a look and I got a call back saying it looked fine. They were very apologetic but I was actually thrilled to be saving the money and really appreciated their honesty... Plenty of places might have replaced it anyway and taken the money but not these guys. I'd definitely reccomend them!

I recently had my front brakes replaced and they did a fast, professional job for me at a very reasonable price. I'm very pleased with the work they did. I recommend Bob Sumerel to anyone needing auto service or repair.

Stopped in to get a quote for a front end alignment on my 98 K3500 dually. I was quoted $80 and asked why it was more expensive being a dually... The manager, Mike, proceeded to explain that it took a bigger rack and different heads. Seriously? It's the same rack and heads as any other vehicle. If he would have been HONEST and said there was more labor involved for jacking compensation I would have had the work done. I refuse to spend my hard earned money in an establishment that makes up reasons for higher cost. I went to Michael tire and paid a few dollars more for an honest and knowledgeable employees.

1/31/19 Staff is friendly, but they messed up my car. Went in because my engine randomly shut off on me. Restarted my car and drove over there to get it checked out. They said my computer wasn't reading any issues, so I got an oil change while I was there, paid and left. Actually, I couldn't leave. Because my electrically powered seat wouldn't adjust. Well I can't drive it if I can't reach the pedals. I thought it was the cold and had my boyfriend take me to work and we'd try letting it warm up later. We tired that. Didn't work. Still hasn't worked. So clearly somewhere in the process of putting my computer back into my car, they messed up some wires. Doesn't seem like too big a deal to fix. But My boyfriend has driven my car twice now (I have to use his for the adjustable seat), and both times, after just a few minutes, there's a rattling sound when he stops at the intersections. And then I noticed my gas gauge isn't reading right. It'll say my fuel is lower than it's supposed to, then work its way up after a few minutes. After driving it an hour, it says it's full, instead of 3/4. I don't understand. There's way too many problems for this to be an accident. Either they're extremely incompetent or they're a bunch of lying snakes. Regardless, I do not trust them touching my car ever again. Now, I have to take it elsewhere to have their mistakes fixed. This is going to cost me way more than it should. 0/10 would not return or recommend.Edit 2/7/19: I have since taken my car to another mechanic who has listed a great deal of problems that'll cost me anywhere from $600-1000 if not more, that Bob Sumerel SHOULD HAVE noticed had they looked inside my car instead of just plugging in a diagnostic tool that apparently showed up blank anyway, and I am infuriated! And I don't appreciate the phone call from Bob Sumerel, Mike was it?, trying to tell me that everything my TRUSTWORTHY mechanic said "didn't make any sense" and listed a bunch of excuses why these things would have happened. "If you bring it back in, we could take a look..." but no mention of any consolidation. Sorry, but we're never taking our cars back. And thanks for hanging up on me.

I called and spoke to Jason my husband had a blown tire and was creeping back to Harrison where he works he was in his work van I told Jason what tire we needed and he suggested two because of the duals and it being a heavy duty van my husband got there and in no time they had 4 new tires put on and had him back on the road !!! Thank you guys so much!! Jason you was fantastic!!!

It was the first time taking my car there and they did not put something back right and car was sucking in air making a terrible noise called them went back next day the manager and i went for a drive we took it back to shop he figured out what it was and was fixed. I will give them one more chance, however i should have received more then just sorry a free oil change would have been better.

I brought them new bulbs in the box I had ordered for my car. They said I bought wrong bulbs. They didn't return my bulbs that I paid $75 for.. they ripped me off on some brake work also.. said they replaced a caliper, turns out they didnt.. I used to go here all the time until I found out how they were ripping me off. Do not go to this location. Both Mikes that work here are not honest people.. spend your money elsewhere, trust me.
