We were traveling from Indiana to Delaware on Rt. 30 when we experienced a sudden loss of pressure in one of our tires. We exited the highway into Galion and found Schieber's Auto Care where we hoped to get a quick repair. Unfortunately, our tire sidewall was damaged and despite Scheiber's attempt to find a replacement from their stock, we were unable to find a good matching tire to get us on the road. But their technicians offered to change our spare and did so at no cost. Nicest guys and so helpful. It convinces me that Schieber's is customer-oriented and has their customer's best interest in mind, despite the circumstances. Great people and we're so thankful.

I am from Columbus and came up to Galion to help my dad out because of his health. My engine started rattling and I was able to figure out the timing tensioner on my Honda Civic had failed, but I did not have the time, tools, or confidence to make the repair myself. I brought it to this shop on the recommendation of my dad, and although it took a while to get it in, they did an amazing job replacing my timing belt, tensioner, valve cover gasket, and the services were $486.66. I was quoted over $800 by another shop, and $1200 by a Honda dealership. The mechanic (Steve) only replaced what was absolutely needed and I thank him for getting me back on the road. You can trust this shop. *Update* They did not replace my waterpump. Today I was quoted $700 because "all" of my brake lines are shot. $1200 in total to get a waterpump put in with the brake service. It has a stuck caliper. My lines are fine. I need a waterpump installed now when it should have been done with my timing belt. Who does a timing belt job without replacing the waterpump? Thanks Steve. You've caused me an absolute headache.Service: Engine repair

Schieber's has always filled my air in my tires. So when I had shredded my tire on I71 in Cleveland & had to get home on a donut tire, naturally Schieber's was my first selection for a new tire and balance. They are fast, courteous and professional as always. When I need car care I will continue to count on them as long as I live here in town .

If I could give less than a one star, I would. They charged me over $8000 for a truck that I still cannot drive. Brand new Engine, but won't start apparently due to a minor electrical problem that they didn't bother to fix after having my truck for 5 months!!! Now I'm paying money to a new mechanic to fix what they apparently couldn't. Absolutely DREADING the fact that I have to return there for the 500 mile oil change for the new engine warranty..... That is if I ever get to 500 miles!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I took my car there because I was driving and it died on me. I told them to check the car all the way to the computer chip. It took them 3 days to look car over and they said they couldn t find anything wrong with car at all. So I had them put a new battery in it. I picked my car up went to Mansfield and on my way there my temperature gauge went to the hot side, so my wife and I went back and asked the people what the mechanic checked in my car, thinking they had paper work or something documented on it. The person behind the counter said everything that you asked coolant sensors electric components alternator. Everything looked good. I took it to another mechanic and the radiator was empty s as was the overfill tank and it was low on oil also. I actually would of have a no star if I could because that place isn t worth a starService: Auto engine diagnostic

Shawn is an absolute joke of a mechanic . My 16 year old son took his truck in to get aligned, mind you that HE was paying for, and the ignorance ensued. Ripped up a receipt in my husband s face, threatened to keep the truck as payment, followed my husband and son outside and eyeballed them until they left, and yelled at him not to bring anything back to the shop ever again. This has taken almost 3 weeks from start to finish. We were told 3 different prices to begin with, every time going up, and after my son paying over $500, because this and that needed fixed , bringing the truck home to find out that it wasn t aligned yet, then having to wait for more parts to be ordered to be able to take the truck back, we were told over another $100 was due for the parts that were never ordered from day one, because it was someone else s fault according to this mechanic . My husband refused to pay the extra amount and this guy had the audacity to ask him what he even does for a living. Are you kidding me!?!? Horrible way to run a business and you can guarantee whenever I hear the name of this place I will run it into the ground and you NEVER have to worry about seeing our faces again.

Very happy customer. Shawn has been working on my cars since the 90s. He is the best and would never trust anyone else. New tires, new brakes, car is like new again! Thank you Schieber's!

My brother owned an older Infinity that he took in for a couple issues. He asked Schiebers to provide their opinion whether the vehicle would be reliable once it was fixed, otherwise he wanted to sell it for scrap. He received opinion that vehicle would be a good one once serviced. Initial estimate was $350 which climbed to $2K then to over $3K while it sat at their lot, being looked at periodically over several MONTHS. Transferred to me for paying Schiebers bill which we negotiated down to $2K. However, it still had engine light on. The technician said while the light was on, he looked over it very well and couldn t find any issues with it and it drove fine. And it did seem to....for a while. The light continued to be on until a few months later, the engine seized up on the highway. All could have been avoided with a good diagnosis that he vehicle needed some care. It seems more and more difficult to find mechanics who can diagnosis despite having better technology available to them. If you find one that can diagnosis well and is honest, it is worth their hourly rate. My experience with Schiebers is that they are not that mechanic you can trust to make good judgments and provide quality work.

My traverse broke down on Christmas Eve last year and I wasn't prepared for the extra expense. Had it at another place but Schieber's insisted that it would be much cheaper with them. Started with estimate of $1,100. They continued to raise the price, ended up putting a used junkyard engine in it, with cracked head, got another from the junkyard and a 90 day warranty with a cost of over $5,000. Please dont go there, I am still paying for my mistake. Forgot to mention I took it to a place here in Columbusto check the engine and the man refused to charge me to due to the fact I paid so much to Schieber's, very kind man.

Had my tire go flat out of nowhere, not blown, just flat. Stopped at the gas station across the street, filled the tire and could hear it leaking the new air. Pulled in and asked for a patch. Gentlemen that helped me immediately checked everything out, got my spare down...patched an issue with the spare and got me back in the road in less than an hour. Everyone was very kind, courtious, and it really made what could have been a bad day, a good one. Thank y'all so much for helping me out! I recommend this shop! =)

If you are getting a gear oil change on a standard Honda, don't take it here. I took mine to get a manual transmission oil change and they used a substitute to Honda MTF. The said substitute is stated in my vehicles manual as being only a temporary substitute. Now downshifting to 2nd is difficult and downshifting to 1 while moving is near impossible. Where as it was doable before.I will say the alignment was nice and straight.I would also mention that I didn't raise issue with the transmission oil, so the company may have dealt with me. I am the sort who will simply get business somewhere else.

Great place to take your car. The service is top notch. I have older cars and they tell it to me straight. Somethings need to be fixed and others are not a priority.

Took my jetta in to get the transmission fluid changed. It cost me $156 and the assured me they knew how to do it, Its a different process than most vehicles. About 40 miles later all the fluid leaked out. I called them up and they were very rude and insisted it wasn't their fault and they didn't need to do anything about it. Will never even consider them for anything again!

Been taking my cars here for many years. Very trustworthy and honest. A little high sometimes, but the work they perform is typically very good.

It's a place where you get honest repairs at a fair price , and I think that's probably why the sheriff takes his Cruisers there and depends on the work they do to keep them safe on the road

This place is a joke. Go in to get a part changed and they tell you to get everything else fixed on your car when the parts are still in good working condition

Don't take your car here for repairs unless you want to keep bringing it back every couple of months to fix the same problem they should have fixed in the very beginning.

Agree with the guy that said this place is a joke. Put the wrong tranny fluid in my car and then put the seal in wrong twice so it all leaked out. Stay away!
