First time taking my car here. So this is a first time review..Took my car in. They seemed really busy. But they got my car in pretty quick and got it fixed by the next day.I'm not going to lie.. I was thinking it was going to cost me a few hundred dollars. ALOT cheaper then what I was expecting to pay. So the car is fixed and I feel like I saved money by going here. I'd definitely return for more repairs in the future. Thanks Jake's Auto in Fremont Oh.

My father used this repair shop for years, and when I moved back to the area, it was the first place I went when needing repairs. My son had his truck in, and he thought it was a blower motor on his heater and had told them that - turns out it was just a switch, but they could have told him yeah it was the motor and charged him for that, and they didn't. They are very upfront about pricing and whether something is worth fixing at all. I appreciate that honesty, and you will too!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Jake's has been a great place to take your vehicles for as long as I can remember. My grandfather, known for being extremely meticulous when it came to his vehicle, swore by them and only took his cars to their shop.Today, I continued that tradition. I swiftly found out why my grandpa loved them. Not only was the service and repair done in a timely manner, the folks were friendly and Heather was a delight to chat with as I waited. Even better, an estimated $225 blower motor repair ended up being a simple $100 resistor replacement. Some places might have done the whole motor and resistor anyway and charged for it. But that's not how they work at Jake's.If you want good and honest folks that will fix your vehicle for a great price, it's hard to find a better place than Jake's.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Excellent customer service, explained the work and cost ahead of time. Estimate was fair and the work met the estimate exactly. Car was running amazing when I picked it up. They solved a steering problem three previous shops could not. They were on time with the appointment and kept me informed the whole way. They also found and fixed another problem. They are efficient and very reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again. Ask for Heather, she is great.

We were traveling thru the area when our van broke down & we had to have it towed "somewhere" to be fixed. We chose Jake's due to Google reviews and are glad we did! They were able to look at the vehicle within one day and it was fixed the next. The price was fair and they communicated well with us.

I have taken my vehicle here 4 times. They do good work, and actually took me into the shop once to show me something I should keep my eye on or have them fix.I like their honesty. The last time I was there I knew it was going to be an expensive repair. It actually went over what the estimated cost was, but they called to ask if I wanted them to continue. I said yes. Then they called again and said they found a lot more wrong and it would cost double, if not more, the first estimated cost.I am glad they kept me informed.

Fantastic auto shop. I bring all of my vehicles here for all servicing. They have great, quality work for reasonable prices. Originally was recommended to me by a friend, and it's clear why they did. Highly recommended for all your vehicular needs!

I called and made a appointment because my check engine light was on, I have a diagnostics machine on my car , I let them know what the code was and waited all day they never called. I called them at 4:55p to see what was going on , she didn t even know who I was and what I was talking about , she put me on hold for several minutes She came back on and said I thought somebody had called you I replied no I haven t heard from anyone she said sorry we ve been busy and then proceeded to say things that were wrong with my car that only a mechanic or somebody who works on a car would understand , I replied that the code on the car said there was something wrong with the catalytic converter, she then said what do you want done , i said I want my car fixed and there was a pause, I told her I was just going to pick up my car.We have been going to Jake s for over 10 years and every since Jake has retired and we ve taken it to the new people we ve had issues with our service , the first time I thought OK things happen but now I m seeing that there s definitely a problem . We are a hard working family and just want good service I hope they can Improve in the future.

I called and made a appointment for a simple brake and oil change. They scheduled it a week later which was ok since I thought that would mean that it would be worked on that day. However, I dropped off the car first thing and they said they would call. The later afternoon came and no one called. I called them and they said it just got put in. When I asked if it would be complete by closing, she said it depends on when they get it done . I don't understand why you bother to make an appointment if they don't bother to work on the car the day you make the appointment. They didn't have the brakes or oil changed for 3 days. Why does it take 3 days for a scheduled brake and oil change? A friend had taken her car there for a light bulb change and had an appointment. It took over a day to change a light bulb. Ever since Jake sold the company, it has went bad. I don't trust this place anymore. They need to learn how to schedule.

This place is a diamond in the ruff. It's actually an honest shop. You can definitely trust Jake's Auto Services to work on your vehicle and trust that it is very great hands.

they did an excellent job on my Honda. they got us in fast, and our car done quick. the staff was super nice and explained how things work and the reason for our issue.

I took my car in for an estimate to resolve AC issue. They said I needed a new compressor kit and quoted me $1250, stating the kit cost $500-750 and it was a 6 hour job. The quote was ridiculous so I thanked them and left. A friend of mine 5.5 hours away is a mechanic who told me what part to order and offered to put it in for less than $100, since it was in reality only a 2-3 hour job. The kit cost $315. However, being a good mechanic, he checked things over before changing it out and discovered the true issue was a faulty low pressure switch. A replacement switch costs $35-55. So had I listened to them I would have paid an unnecessary $1500, if not MUCH more since the switch out would not have fixed the issue and heaven only knows what they d have invented to get thousands more out of me.

Not very happy guys. Asked for change of plugs and wires because I had a misfire.I get a call Friday afternoon "your truck is done".Y'all changed 1 plug, 1 coil pack & charge me 150 bucks.Heading up the road my truck is misfiring. Thanks for not following directions and helping me to piss away some hard earned money.

I'm not much of a reviewer, the last thing I want to do is spend more time typing in front of a computer after work, but after the service I received from Jake's I feel obligated to write a review. I've been to many mechanics in my life, but it's rare that you find one who is willing to do the right thing.I took my car in to get the fuel injectors replaced. This is a labor intensive job that made me cringe at the thought of doing it myself. When I got the car back, it ran fine for a few miles, then another cylinder died. I took it back to Jake's and he looked at the car and made it right with no complaints whatsoever. He found a faulty fuel injector after the replacement. I even was stuck at work late the night the car was complete and Jake still made time to talk to me after the office was technically closed.I know I can trust the knowledge and expertise at Jake's (since he's worked on my cars previously) and if their is a problem, they will own it and make it right.

Did a very good job, fast, got me in in a couple days, was werry with a lone garage instead of a dealership, but was very impressed and will giving all future business to them.

Jakes did a great job diagnosing what was wrong with my vw and they even had it repaired ahead of schedule.

Very poor customer service in my experience, purposely leaves you on hold just because they don't wanna deal with you why don't know. Instead recommend going in so they can't purposely ignore you.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance
