They got me in for my oil change very quickly and it didn't take them long at all. I was also told about my tires in the rear and was quoted for 2 new ones. I appreciate that! Great customer service.

Really appreciate the help in getting me back on the road after being stranded overnight with car trouble from out of town. They helped me get local towing and got me in right away. Very nice people and helpful. They fixed my car perfectly, highly recommend them for any issues!

All I have to say is, THANK GOD for these guys! My car was making EVERY noise in the world, I had multiple things wrong that other mechanics tried to fix but didn't. I have been driving my car now for almost 3 weeks since they fixed it and my car drives LIKE BUTTER! smooth driving , NO noises! the LEAKS ARE GONE! My driving shaft is fixed. My car no longer makes noises when turning! I would DEFINITELY bring my car back , my new car. I am so HAPPY to have used DAVE, Shawn and the other guys. THEY WERE A TRUE BLESSING TO ME AND MY CAR!!!Services: Tires, Wheel alignment, Oil change

I ve researched auto shops in Findlay and this beat all the shops for a transmission job by 130 bucks!! I ve now been here three times now and each time they were very honest with me. I m also a college student and told them my situation so they did what they could to help me out while still maintaining their business. I highly recommend this place, and John is a legend each time for helping me out

The genuine service that I received from this business has gone beyond my expectations. I took my car in here, on recommendation of my family using them for years, to have my serpentine belt replaced. They got my car in right away and within 5 minutes, they found the real problem. A sound that I thought my car had always made turned out to be a big problem that NO mechanic has EVER caught in the 5 years I've owned the car! Thankfully, it was a simple fix and the cost of everything was even simpler! I currently live 2 hours away from here but it will always be worth the drive to find such a quality mechanic that takes the time to walk you through the repair and do what's best for you, not just their business. Lastly, the cherry on top to this phenomenal service was receiving a handwritten letter from them, thanking me for bringing my car there as well as them enjoying my company during my visit. Never been able to say I've enjoyed visiting a mechanic before and I am happy to come back in the future!

It s not very often you can trust the quality and expertise of a mechanic so the fact that A1 is outstanding in both is a rarity. Shawn is the man at A1 he is knowledgeable, understanding, and just an all around amazing person. He worked with my horrible warranty company to get me a BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION and made sure I was safe to get back home to Denver, Colorado. I will literally drive 3,000 miles round trip to have this guy work on my stuff. The best shop ever. If you live in town don t go anywhere else! And if you don t live in town totally worth the drive or tow!Services: Transmission, Transmission repair, Oil change

Friendly..... willing to help with the best that they can. Like most small business they are dealing with Covid restrictions and employees being sick. Outstanding job performance, explaining in detail, giving options to you before dealing with major work. We always go in for our routine oil and filter changes.

Very good and honest service. They were recommended to me by someone I highly trusted and they have met every expectation I had for some time now and over several times in for scheduled service. They have found an item that clearly needed repair during an inspection. They have let me know when additional scheduled maintenance is coming up so I can plan.Very pleasant and nice folks too.

I recently took my vehicle in to get a timing belt replaced and a water pump issue taken care of. At first I didn t have any issues, but did notice while they were working on the car they were not very good about contacting me regarding any issues, and when they did it was way later then they had said they would.After they finish the repairs they contacted me to tell me it was done, but also told me that my transmission fluid was low and also probably needed flushed. I had asked for a total at that point to see how much money we were up to, then asked for a new total price including the transmission flush. I agreed to that total and they told me it would be ready later in the day. When I went to pick up my car, I found out that the total I was given was not actually the total because it was not including tax which was over $100. This made me fall a little short of being able to pay. If they would have given me the correct total in the first place, I would have opted to not get my transmission flushed, and would have been just fine to be able to pay for the other repairs that were done. While talking to the receptionist, she tells me that this is a fairly regular problem with the mechanics who give you the quotes and that there have been problems in the past with other costumers getting a correct total price.I can t comment yet on the actual repairs themselves since I am still trying to get my car back, but based on what my experiences with A-1 have been like so far, I can confidently say that I will not be returning as a customer. If you do happen to find yourself getting any work done here, make sure the quote they give you includes everything and if possible, get it in writing.

We have brought our autos to A-1 Auto for years. From our new to the Will it make another week? autos, David and his crew have treated each with the same attention to detail. Whether we stopped in to make sure our vehicles were trip ready and worthy or in for a major repair, I have trusted their judgment.Recently, I brought in my Ford Transit for an oil change. David asked if I needed wiper blades. I replied yes but I don t like the ones you carry. We laughed about my straightforwardness and left it at that. I happen to like another brand, that s all. When I pick up my car later, David had called and had my wipers of choice delivered and he replaced them. That s service, that s going the extra mile for the customer.That is what has prompted this lengthy review. I respect that. It saved me the time. And for that I m deeply grateful. I wouldn t go anywhere else. Thank you David, John, Rick and Kathy for all you do.

I took an older Chevrolet to this center because the owner has an older car too and I thought it would get the same care. Instead in the first year since I have had to get everything they worked on redone at my expense. On top of that when I got my car back it was dirty and a few scratches so I had to pay to have it detailed. The horn was also disconnected for some reason. Worst experience of my life with a service center. Definitely not A_1 service. I wouldn't recommend getting your lawnmower fixed there.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Transmission repair, Oil change

Been bringing my cars there for years. Service is by far beyond expectations. The people there make you feel welcome and the professionalism is superb. Dave and his Staff are first class and care about the vehicles they work on. If your looking for prompt and dedicated mechanics for your vehicle care...look no further A-1 Auto Center.

Very knowledgeable, courteous, quick, and thorough. My work just started taking their vehicles there and seemed like they were getting good service so I decided to try them out for myself. Had a turn signal switch that a mechanic had replaced but he hadn't put the steering wheel on correctly. In less than 20 minutes, A-1 had me back on the road. They also pointed out a couple of issues that would need to be repaired soon. These were items that I was already aware of, so it wasn't like they were creating phantom problems. I would highly recommend them. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic nowadays.

We were traveling from out of town (Tennessee) and had a cracked water pump. They were professional, quick, and priced extremely well. I'm so grateful we ended up here!!! Would absolutely recommend.

Highly recommend this auto place very professional and they care about their customers. I got new tires and alignment with a wonderful warranty. Took it in for a wheel bearing, I usually do most jobs on my own but I don't own a press. Charged the price of an entire new hub assembly ($150) for a $50 wheel bearing. Gave me the run around time and time again about needing to talk to the mechanic then the manager and so on and would never get back with me until I just forgot and left it be.

A+ A+ I have been going to A-1 for 18 years. Friendly, honest, hard working, caring people. They are great at what they do. It has been the same crew since I started going there, even Kathy out front. That should say a lot!

He fixed my car in about 10 minutes and didn't charge me because it was a matter of removing the loose shroud that didn't serve a purpose.

Took my '03 Civic here during a 7+ month stay in Findlay from January '14 to July '15. 2/3 times the car had to be brought back in as it was not fixed correctly. My car had an EVAP emissions leak "repaired" here and after a day the check engine light with the same error code came back on. Went back and they couldn't find problem as there was no emissions leak and suggested taking it to a Honda dealer.I brought car back home to NE Ohio and my mechanic found the problem (an emissions leak) in less than 15 minutes and that the supposed "repair" work that A1 did to fix the problem (putting in a new purge valve solenoid) was either not done or done with old, rusted parts, and to my mechanics amazement, a bolt was left in the emissions system. I'd genuinely like to say he was joking, but he was dead serious.They are genuinely nice people, but the labor is not up to par at all. Your money and car will be better served going elsewhere in the area.

My experience with A1 auto center is horrible. First, one of them call me to inform me of how much my car ignition key will cost. After I asked him to go ahead and he fixed it, on reaching there, the receipt he gave me doesn t match what he told me. The price he told me on the phone and I paid for was higher than what was stated in the receipt. Secondly, not up to two months, the ignition key he fixed started acting up and I had to take it to another place for a new one.

I will not be going back there.and strongly urge anyone who does go there to know how much repairs gonna cost cause there gonna over charge u.how does repairs go from 774.00 to over 1000 dollars. Long story short. U cnt trust anyone these days do your homework.... They lost my buisness for good.

Head Mechanic was a jerk (( and that's putting it nicely)) did not want to explain what was wrong with the car ended up charging me and doing work before asking me to proceed !!!!!! just because you're been in business for a long time doesn't mean you know how to deal with people,,, I recommend you run if you're planning on going to this place ever

I ve used this repair shop over the years for a wide range of repairs on various cars, radiator, timing belt, air conditioning, exhaust, brakes, tune-ups, tires, electrical, catalytic converter, lights, transmission, and probably some I don t remember. They can do it all stand behind their work.
