Very HONEST, RELIABLE mechanics. Brought my car in due to a grinding noise. Figured it was bearings & I d maybe need new brakes, also asked for an oil change. They diagnosed the car with just having some dirt & build up around the boots & bearings were great. They could ve done the works to the car & up charged me out the you know what, but they didn t. They were honest, easy to work with and really personable. I m definitely going to continue using Carter s for future repairs. Thanks gentleman!

Great guys here. Trustworthy and straight forward about what is wrong with your vehicle. Won t nickel and dime you at all. Very fair price and much cheaper than if I had taken my truck to a dealership. I was referred here by another shop that did some transmission work for me. They were spot on about an issue that we thought was a blown head gasket but intern came to be a bad oil cooler. I would 10/10 recommend them because instead of charging me thousands of dollars they actually took the time to investigate and did the right repairs. What an honest shop I will definitely be a repeat customer and will let all of my friends know this is a honest real mechanic shop. Thank you so much!Service: Engine repair

My first time at Carter's was terrific. I made an appointment and got in and out as scheduled. The prices are very fair and the work is clean. They also had a chance to charge me extra and didn't. Tim is very honest and not afraid of any job.

Tim and his crew run an awesome operation. They've taken great care of my car every time and I trust them for an honest evaluation and opinion on what needs to be done. The cost of repair has been fair every time and they don't try talk me into having unnecessary work done. I know that in the unfortunate event I have to have my car worked on, I'm bringing my vehicle to these guys with peace of mind every time.

This was our first time getting our car repaired. The repair was very quick, and they kept us updated on the progress. Price was fair for a new starter and starter relay. But i will say the customer service was just like walking into a neighbors car garage. Friendly, courteous, quick. You hope you dont have to go back often for car repairs, but i will be going back when that time comes.

Tim was referred by someone who used his service n it was my understanding he was a top mechanic for ford at one time. After having spent $5000 + on a new motor n it supposing had to be changed out twice after that at my request because of the ticking noise coming from motor well my truck to this day hasn t been right n sits parked after just quiting on me n 2 garages telling me it has no compression. Tim new from the start after putting the motor in that it was bogging down n he tested it n 2 injectors were reading not good (why would that be with a new motor). He never tried to make it right n never mentioned it would also be a good idea to put new everything else on it n not the old. That was a few yes back all this n I m not one to throw anyone down that does good work but this has really post me off knowing he did me this way n I have no truck to drive. $5000!!Service: Engine repair

Carters came through as they always do with a front brake repair completed in a few hours at a very reasonable price.They are the one of only two auto repair shops that I recommend

Great place to take your car. Never over charges or says that you should replace something that doesn't need to be replaced . One the few car repair shops that actually run their business on honesty.

I love these people! It's like taking your car to a family member. Being a female and not knowing much about mechanics, I don't trust mechanics but I trust the Carter's! I highly recommend them.

Can I give 6 stars? These guys were fantastic and got my two vehicles back in working order on time and on budget. I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else if I could help it. I am moving out of the area but, if you are in the Fairfield area and need work done Carter's is the place to go. Bar none.

Best mechanic shop ever! My whole family and friends go to Tim for all their vehicle work and have always had honest, fast and great work! They are always busy of course but will get you in and out fast!

I've been taking my cars there for awhile now. I'd say Tim and his staff are very honest and the repairs don't break you like the big box repair shops do. Very nice group of guys and I highly recommend for any repairs.

Was needing my truck back very quick he was very busy but he still took the time out to get my truck up and running the very next day a very shocked on the price very cheap it's very fair I recommend this place to anybody that cares about their vehicle they will do you a great job and awesome on the pricing

This place of business is fantastic, they've fixed small things for free, big jobs very reasonably and are very honest, best mechanic I've had and have been going there for nearly 4 years now.
