I needed to get my front and rear brakes replaced. So I went through union tire to get them done because they had replaced brakes on my car before; plus I ve always had good experiences with that place. So yesterday, I went to a shop and bought the brake pads. Then I went over to union auto so I can schedule an appointment and give them the parts. When I walked in, some of the mechanics and the owner were standing around talking. He asked me what he can help me with, but he said it in the way that was rude. I told him what I was there for and then he said ok but if the car starts shaking, there s nothing he can do about it, still coming off as rude. So as we were about to get an appointment scheduled, the owner asked me if I wanted to get them done now and I said sure. So while I m sitting in the lobby waiting, another customer walks in. The desk clerk wasn t there at the time so the owner was at the desk instead. You wanna talk about a 180, he was so nice to that customer yet he came off as a jerk when it came to me. And some of the mechanics were no better either, especially one of them (I don t remember his name) who drove my car around the block to make sure everything was okay. When he got out the car and told me that I was all set, he hardly even gave me any eye contact. So that s my recent and last experience with this place. They only get one star because they at least got me in on the same day. But I didn t appreciate the attitudes and negative vibes that I got from the owner and the some of the mechanics. I ve been going to Union tire for years, and I never had that experience before. But I m done with them. Won t be going back to them ever again.

First of all, I have been going to Union Tire and Auto for over fifteen years! Only my past two experiences have been bad. That's not bad for the time I have been going. With this being said, the past two times I have found that Union was overcharging. When given another quote the other store was hundreds less than Union!My past experience was the saddest. After going to another shop since they charged $500 less than Union, yes, I said $500 less, we found out the catalytic converter Union said we needed was perfectly fine and nothing was wrong with it!!To me, this is unacceptable. To top it all off, Don, the owner, had the cashier hand me $100 cash to make up for the fact that his auto tech charged me $350 for a gold battery that I had just bought for a different car (both Hondas) earlier in the week for only $180.I have been going to Union for such a long time that my trust was blind and now that my son has been investigating the charges my husband and I are both truly disappointed with what we have discovered. Looks like it is time to cut the cord.Sad to say,Janie

Royanna on the phone and front desk is so inviting and legitimately cares about the customer. The mechanics are great too! Can't recommend this shop enough!

Great people doing great work! They made a great recommendation for tires. They were Michelin tires and I paid less for them than the quote I got from a competitor for another brand. They have performed great in both rain and wintry weather. Very satisfied! I get my oil changed there regularly and purchased brakes and rotors. Trustworthy quality work! The owner Don is very involved while work is being done. Tiffany at the front desk is always amazing. Thank you for providing me the security of keeping my car safe and well serviced!

They're always really honest and quick here. Priced well too. We've gotten oil changes, new tires, and a few other things fixed here. As long as we live here, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I won't go anywhere else for my oil changes or tire work. Always very fast and more affordable than any other place I've been for the services I've needed.

We go nowhere else but Union tire for tires of course, but for all our automobile needs. Don, the owner is very reasonable with his charges and all the employees are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. we have been clients of Don's for years and wouldn't take are cars anywhere else. Thank you Union Tire for always being available to help us out.

Friendly service, extremely fair prices and overall just a great resource for the community. I've gone here multiple times for oil changes and every time I am glad I returned. If they notice something while they are doing the usual work they'll let you know and even give some estimates on the spot if you want them to. They have certainly earned a loyal customer, would highly recommend!

Just went in for two new rims and tires. Turns out the used rim I got had a really good tire still on it. Instead of them selling me two tires, they recommended I just keep the good tire and only buy one from them! Very striking instance of honesty and their seeking the good of the customer. Very friendly service. I am definitely going back to them for all future tire needs.

I have taken my car here for a couple of years recommended by a friend. Staff is friendly and courteous. Waiting area is small but clean. Service is good and fast. I have referred family members and we have all been satisfied. It's hard to find a place that you trust to work in your car but they haven't failed. Give them a try.

zero stars.They have replaced my brakes and rotors twice, claiming hard braking. Which is a lie. I drive less than 20 miles a day and after driving thirty years, this is the only time I have had an issue with rotors. The rotors are either junk or there is another problem they are missing. Last time I had rotors on another car before this one, my son changed my rotors and they lasted 8 years. So much for honesty from a local mechanic.

They tell up price fix your car won't rip you off go somewhere get it fix at high price /great place to fix your car.very happy with the service.

Always a fair price. And I just got four tires mounted balanced and back in the car in 30 minutes ,you can't beat that.

Was loyal customer for many years encouraged all my friends and associates to patronize this place. Not anymore, oil changes went way up and customer service is awful.

Arrived 30 minutes before they closed with a flat tire. They had my car up in the air in about 3 minutes. Told me it was a screw near the sidewall, and they'd do their best, but no promises. 10 minutes later they had it fixed up as good as new! And the price was much lower than a chain that I frequently use. I will be back for sure when I need repair. Very friendly & knowledgeable.

Words don't do Union Tire & Auto enough justice. I am from out of town and came in on a flat. I was lucky enough that they had the size tire I needed. Tiffany was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. they were able to get my car on the rack and replaced in under an hour. I talked to Don to pass the time. friendly staff and great techs are at Union Tire & Auto!!!again thank you for your help.

Fabulous place this place is right up there with blimpy burger. I m a long time Ann Arbor resident. Been cruising Ann Arbor streets since the 1970s the owner and I chatted he s been running tires since roby tire was on north main 30 years ago. Solid guy

Shocked and just can't how honest and great they are here. Pleasant to deal with and unbeatable prices. Full set of tires done sooner than expected and final price was actually $24 less than quoted! First time using them but they have a satisfied life time customer here!!

They mounted and balanced two sets of four tires for 160 bucks. I've previously bought three sets of tires from them and never had any problems. Good prices and no problems, you can't ask for more then that.

Great service and prices. Came in today with my two little babies and the staff was incredibly helpful and polite. Best part- I got a whole new set of tires in less than 30 minutes at a reasonable price. Definitely going back!

I had 4 tires replaced last week. Last night I got a flat. We sprayed rhe tire and the only spot that leaked was a valve stem. They say it was punctured, however second shop can't see any evidence of that. It seems Union Tire and auto just did not want to warranty their work.So if it wasn't for AAA, that 97 mile tow would have cost at least $300 and another $270 for the Tire and replace a sensor that busted from the tire being flat by another company.UPDATE: I did talk to the owner who was very nice and after explaining the checks we did, he explained a possible reason for the flat that made sense.While I would definitely go back if he was the person I would talk to, I would not go back if the same office manager is working.

Terrible mechanics did shoddy work that I had corrected elsewhere because I did not trust them after their poor workmanship and rude customer service. They also left my car reeking of cigarette smoke. Will not be back. Advise you to stay away - there are better options in town than this awful place.

Worst mechanic and worst customer service ever! Took my vehicle to have a diagnostic test ran, was told all 4 o2 sensors were bad and needed replacing. Paid them $800 to do so and less than 1 month later they start going bad again. Instead of telling me the underlying cause for the sensors to go bad and fixing that, they just took my $800 and made it worse. When I called back to see what my options were to handle the matter, I was sarcastically told that they did not have a magic wand that tells them what is wrong. They refused to look at or repair my vehicle without charging me again. 100% will never take a car there again.

If you want an honest, trustworthy place to have your car serviced for something minor or something major, Union Tire and Auto Center is the place to go. They have the knowledge it takes to repair your car without gouging your pocketbook or wallet. As a senior citizen living on social security and who's also a widow, Union Tire is where my car goes.

The team at Union Tire is kind, courteous, knows their inventory, and does great work. My two rear tyres were replaced within an hour of my scheduled appointment, having been ordered the previous day. The waiting room was comfortable and they had a word find that was fun. While waiting, other customers came for auto service and many types of repair. Windshield wiper blades were brought in and installed during a scheduled oil change. It is a great place for getting you back on the road.

Today was my third time in. It is the only shop I trust because they figure out what the problem is and don t try to sell you anything else like the bigger names.Brought in my car for a weird sound from the engine Wednesday morning after making an appointment Monday. They called me later in the evening and let me know the problem and price but said with how busy they are it would be done until next Thursday. (Water pump, belt and oil change)Called today (Friday) and said it was ready now because there were cancelations. Heck yeah.They are always nice and helpful with all the tiny and many questions I have.Tiffany and Travis were super nice and they communicate so well. Don t hesitate!!

I would not give this place a single star due to the OWNER of Union tire is nothing more than a scam artist and will absolutely scam ANYONE including his very own employees.Do not trust this place!

Had a tire replaced Monday. It had blown over the weekend. They were very nice on the phone when I called to discuss it. I was welcomed in a friendly way when I arrived and the wait was short. Tire was replaced and on my way quickly. Would recommend.

I took my car in for an oil change and 4 new tires. They had the best prices around by far and they had great customer service. I typically feel like I can't trust most mechanics but Union Tire & Auto made me feel like I could trust them. I will definitely do business here again!
