I went here some time ago and I had a terrible experience. I attend OWU down the street and decided to go to them because I heard they helped out OWU students a lot in terms of pricing. They did not help me out at all. I needed to get my radiator fixed as my car had randomly started smoking the night prior to my visit. I took my car over and they told me that I needed to pay $580 for the radiator. I did not want to pay that much, but I needed my car for work so I did after consulting my mother about it. When I received my car back, I saw a huge oil stain on my driver's side rug. I had also noticed that the lever for my car's hood was not functioning correctly. The hood would not pop. I took the car back to them because obviously they had broken it. When ai took it back, the manager, a bigger guy ai think his name was Ron or something, told me that they would take no responsibility and wouldn't fix what they broke. If turn, one of the other guys fed the cable out past the lever so now I have to pull the cable in order to open my hood. After that I never returned to that place. They did not take any accountability and essentially laughed in my face when I brought it back to be corrected. Even my mom had asked to speak with the manager on the phone (she is 7 hours away from me) and he refused to listen.

Matt and his team are the best! They work me in and get me on the road fast. Honest and the fairest pricing and value you'll find anywhere. It's hard to find solid, honest auto tech's these days, but these guys are it. Highly recommend for all your automotive repair needs!

D.A.S. took care of me very professionally and got me in their shop right away to assess the problems I was experiencing with my work truck. The techs were extremely knowledgeable and was able to fix everything I needed to fix and have it right back on the road first thing the next morning! I wasn t able to miss a beat! Thank you

Delaware Automotive took care great care of me and my truck. I had my truck into another shop a couple of times and had work down to it but it still was running like it should so I took it to Delaware Automotive for a second look. They found certain parts I had paid another shop to replace weren t new or installed properly. The service manager even took photos of the parts they took out of my truck for me. I would take my truck or other vehicles back to Delaware Automotive.

Brought the car in today for a misfiring ignition coil. Did not expect to have the car back the same day given I had no appointment set. They got the job done quick, for a reasonable price, and the car runs good as new. I need to get more work done on the car as the summer months come along, so it is good to know that there is a reliable garage in town that does quality work. I definitely recommend this place.

They are great! Matt explained repairs needed for 2 cars in our family in the last 2 wks. No charge for looking over vehicles either. Prices are outstanding and all the mechanics here know their craft. They are now who we will always take cars to for repair. No need to look any further.

As much as I hate it when something is wrong with my vehicle, I am grateful for this place. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Bob both times my vehicle needed service and as a single mother he was always upfront, fair and honest with me. I would highly recommend Delaware Automotive Service for any of your vehicles needs. They are open until 6:30pm and both times they were able to fix my vehicle same day and pricing was very reasonable.

Delaware Automotive is a local business that went above and beyond to help me replace an engine in my 2017 Kia Soul when the Kia dealer did nothing to help resolve an engine issue that my car had when I purchased but I had no knowledge of the oil consumption problem when I purchased my car. Not only did they hunt down a replacement engine with low mileage they also got my car back on the road in just a few short days and allowed me to pay weekly payments until paid off. I will never go anywhere else ever again for car repair . All the fellows are fantastic and knowledgeable. Especially Bob and Matt. I highly recommend them and will tell all who is in need of car repairs to go there.Service: Engine repair

We were on our way home and passing by Ohio. Our car s water pump was suddenly broken. A very awkward situation for us as we were 5 hours away from home. Called several auto shops in town but all replied no way to get our car fixed on the same day, due to part not available and packed schedule. We received the same answer at Bob s place initially, but after understanding our urgent situation, Bob made every extra effort to get a replacement part from a local dealer and prioritize our repair. Finally, we were able to get back on the road in 3 hr, rather than coming back to pick up our car several days later. In addition, we re charged very reasonably, much lower than what we expected for this type of service on a normal day, not mentioning the urgency. They could totally take advantage of us, but they just chose not to. Could not thank Bob and his team enough for their kind help and professional service. What we received is very consistent with their slogan-Honest, Reliable, Local. Wish this shop could be close to where we live!

I don t normally write reviews but in this case I feel I need too. My car had been down about 2 weeks and I was getting desperate. I had called multiple shops and asked for estimates which I was told I needed to bring the car in for that. The gentleman that answered the phone at this place was extremely nice and helpful along with giving me an estimate to have my starter replaced. I took the car in the next morning and they had it done same day. They called b4 replacing anything and gave me a complete run down. Came out spending $200 less than expected. I feel they are extremely honest and kind. I will only be going there from here on out. A+ ExperienceService: Steering & suspension repair

Update 6/21/23: I only take my car to them! They are always personable and always remember me!I had to have my car towed to them. They stayed after hours to get my keys. Very nice people! I will always recommend them!

Used to go here all the time to get work done. Now they act like I don t exist, or don t want my money. Oh well, they did a terrible job putting wiper blades on, so idk why I d want them to do anything else. Over it

I would give them 10 stars if I could. They replaced the engine in my daughter's car. I live out of state but they made things so easy like covering the cost of the tow initially so i didn't have to deal with that and such. They had it done in less than a week and came in under their quote! They spent a lot of time on the phone with me because I was asking a lot of questions... Not once did they seem impatient. It has been a couple weeks now and there have been no problems. I highly recommend.Service: Engine repair

By far the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Matt was very laid back and easy going. I'm not a mechanically inclined person, so for him to understand my nonsense and figure out what was wrong with my truck was awesome! He was very upfront about the price to fix my truck. Even broke it down I into parts and labor.What I really appreciated about the whole experience was really that he did NOT use that "doom and gloom" tactic. You know, the one most mechanics use. "You need to fix this or it could cause big problems down the road." I dread that because I'm unsure about it so I get it. Then I take it to my mechanically inclined dad who says "You know that was fine right".Even though I've only interacted with Matt the one time, I could tell he has great care for his clients. From being upfront and honest with price. To the effort he puts into his work, got my truck back the same day. The kids room absolutely stocked with toys!I will gladly come back to Matt and Delaware Automotive Service again!

I called last minute right when they opened. Matt was very busy but was able to squeeze me in. Unfortunately my alternator was going out. He came out and explained the problem and asked if the price was ok before any work was done. He not only fixed my car, but actually took the new alternator back out because it wasn t charging correctly. Called for another and replaced it again, and made sure it was running properly. It s been 3 weeks without another issue. I highly recommend this place. I am a new customer to Matt and his team. Thank you.Service: Electrical

Matt at Delaware Automotive is very knowledgeable and reasonable. He offered suggestions to help keep the price down, but not sacrifice safety. Professional and honest. Matt will give it to you straight and won't try to swindle you in any way, shape, or form. Does all the usual mechanic shop goodness, from oil change / inspections to full repairs/replacements. Have gone several times now, and have had a good experience each time. (One particular instance of note was one where no issue was found despite a thorough inspection, overnight keeping, etc. He didn't charge me a dime.) Highly recommended.

Great first experience here for service. They worked on my truck and our Troop's Scout trailer. They did exactly tlwhat they said they would do at the quoted price. Nice people and they went the extra mile to make sure our Scout trailer was ready for camp. I will definitely be back.
