I originally went to another "mechanic" for a blown turbo on my 2015 VW. After 3 weeks of broken promises and 3300.00 later (which I have yet to recover), I retrieved my vehicle, with my new turbo in a box and zero work performed. After researching local shops I chose to contact Specialty Motorwerks. They had my car in their shop within 3 days and took 1day to repair. The cost was minute to what I was originally charged by the other mechanic. Specialty has gained my business as a loyal customer moving forward and I would recommend friends and family to them with confidence!

For me this is the best place to go to. Wow! Very impressed! Did great job on my 1987 Volvo. Fixed an oil leak. Was told rear main seal by another shop. Was expecting major expense. Was a pvc oil trap. Less than 200.00. Will definitely be back.

I want to give Specialty Motorwerkes my absolute highest recommendation. Tony, Liz and the crew went above and beyond on my Mini Cooper. My car gave them all kinds of issues. Tony would not let me have it back until it was at his high standards. They communicated with me all along the way. They explained exactly what they were doing every step of the process. They replaced the thermostat on my 2012 Audi A6, which Audi cleverly hid underneath the supercharger...not a small job. They had me fixed up in one day at a fair price (compared to the dealership). I have been a customer for 20 plus years. You won't find a more reputable import auto service center. From the owner Tony and daughter Lizzy to all the technicians, the are the very best! If your European vehicle is out of warranty, Specialty is where to have it serviced. Just had my first experience with Specialty Motorwerkes. I will get right to the point. The best experience i have ever had with a mechanic. Incredibly knowledgeable, very honest and my bill exactly what I had asked him to keep it at. Was incredibly thorough with the car and gave me a run down of every issue and advice on which to tackle and which could wait until later. Again - best experience ever with a mechanic.

My first visit to the shop was for a simple oil change. The individuals I've spoken with on the phone and in front office when receiving and picking up my vehicle were kind. The service was performed in a timely manner and without issues. I plan to return for future services on my vehicle. I'll update my review after those.

They replaced the battery in our BMW and also registered it too! Everyone was really nice and service was quick too. Their prices are great. When we called to get a quote he said it would be around $180 to $200, it ended up being $190. Will definitely take our BMW back here for any work it needs!

I have been using Tony an Specialty Motorwerkes for nearly 25 years. They have worked on my L7 BMW, my daughters VW and 5 different S and E model Mercedes. They are the best. The work is superior to any place I had been before. The couple times I had a car that was still under warranty from a dealership, I couldn't wait to get out from under the warranty to take it to Specialty. I cannot say enough about them.

Larry SimmonsFinally, this is a shop that uses quality parts and great service! I worked in a garage in my younger days and it was like going back in time. Fair price, quality mechanics that don't add extra work that your car doesn't need.Fixed my Lexus in a day! Other shops needed two days withsub-standard parts and were higher priced. I'll be going back !

Had my BMW 328i towed into Specialty Motorwerks. I had never met a Tony I had just got a reference from another BMW owner. Tony and his family were awesome. They got the work done fast and were very thorough. I believe for the work they did it was very economical.

Our family only owns Volkswagens, and I try to do as much work as I can on my own. Whenever I come across a problem I can't fix, these are the ONLY people I trust with our cars. They have the best prices and do fantastic work. I've lived all across the country as active duty military and I've discovered that 99% of shops who say they "specialize" in foreign cars just say that to convince you that you should pay more for their service.These guys are one in a million; the only auto repair place I trust. I actually feel good about taking my car in knowing that it's going to get done correctly and on budget.

Highly recommend Specialty Motorwerkes to anyone! I was on a trip from NC to IL and was on my way up to Dayton for the night. About 2 hours out (around 5pm) I had issues with my brakes and decided to get it towed to Specialty Motorwerkes. I had called a few minutes before their closing time and spoke with Tony about my car's symptoms and the possible issues. Tony immediately ordered the parts for them to get working on the car the next morning. The quote he provided me over the phone, based on my diagnosis, was far below what anyone else in the area was quoting me. The next morning Tony's team took a look at my car and quickly diagnosed the problem. It turned out the issue was something different than I thought but had the same symptoms. Tony had to order a different part that morning but was still able to get my car fixed by 11am! The quality of both customer service and the work preformed for the price can't be beat in area. If I am ever in Dayton again and need work done on my car, I'm brining it straight to Specialty Motorwerkes!

I have been taking my cars to Specialty for many years. My mom took her 73' 280 Mercedes there in the 80s. They have always done a really good job for us. In fact, I had to send my 03 E39 in for service today. I highly recommend them.

They saved our trip from Detroit to Chattanooga. Heading south for a swim event with a kayak on top of my MINI Cooper when we stopped for gas and lunch. Couldn't put the car in park. Called my hometown dealership, they had never heard of the problem, suggested finding a MINI service shop...we found Specialty Motorwerkes, thankfully! A phone call as we continued to drive south and 45 miles later we were at the shop and they were waiting for us. Quick to troubleshoot and fix by unjamming and lubricating the gear shift and we were on our way...at no cost! If I lived here, this would absolutely be my go-to shop. These types of people and shops are the best, hands down.

I've been working with Specialty Motorwerkes for roughly a year now. They were the only shop in town that could work on and understand the type of modifications that needed to be done on my car, a Mazda RX-7 with rotary engine. The mechanic that works on my car is simply amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable, and I could not be happier with the work he has performed so far. I highly recommend Specialty Motorwerkes for your foreign car repair needs.

I took my Mini Cooper here after another local European specialist shop could not diagnose a front end vibration after having the car for a week. Specialty Motorwerkes quickly identified the problem and I was back on the road in no time. The cost was quite reasonable for any vehicle, let alone an import. I'm happy to say I've found my local Mini repair shop!

Specialty has been the only place that I've trusted for the past 7 years to work on my cars. They treat my vehicles the way that I would myself, and take extra care to get to the root of a problem rather than simply hanging parts on the cars and sending them back. Highly recommended!

Well if you are looking for someone to change fluids I guess they would be a decent shop to use. However, If you have anything more you need DO NOT use them. I brought my 81 Mercedes SD in for a valve adjustment and ended up scrapping the entire car. The piston Specialty Motor Werkes broke during this minor procedure would have been more expensive than buying another Benz.The owner is a real peach. The month that he had my vehicle the only updates I would get was when I contacted him. He even ducked back into the shop after my third visit and refused to see me. Shoddy work and poor customer service is all you will receive.

I took my BMW F36 in for an oil change and brake fluid service. They got both done in about a hour and charged me less than what a BMW dealership would charge! Also your are supporting a local business versus a corporatized dealership by coming here.

Quality is ALWAYS first! Restoring 1966 Porsche, I didn't think twice about having Tony and his crew do all the mechanical work! They jumped in mid-restoration, when others couldn't or wouldn't perform to my expectations. Spending the time to source parts that are to Porsche original specs. Rebuilding a motor that had been in storage for 30+ years! They will be the shop for all my future resto projects! As long as they don't insane from all of my questions...

Just met tony for the first time. He is building us a motor for our mopar race car. He is the best mopar engine builder in the country. First impression, we picked the right guy. Can't wait.

Took my 09 Mini Cooper in to have a new thermostat housing unit put in. They were amazing answered any concerns I had and where way cheaper than anyplace else I had gotten a quote from. I will be bringing my mini back. You guys rock

Honest, good, friendly people. I had an issue with wheels and tires from another shop. Tony was straight with me and pointed me in the right direct. I really appreciate his honesty and helpfulness.
