It's regrettable that I have to post this. As of two years ago, I had an amazing experience with this location. So much so, that I left a 5 star review. My most recent experience has changed my opinion about Grismer. I brought my car (2018 Toyota Tacoma) in for a terrible squeaking noise and they told me based on my car's history (replaced the serpentine belt and idler last year), that it was most likely my other idler. They ordered the part and I brought my car in a couple days later. As they were servicing it, they pointed out where a squirrel had made a nest in my engine. They were kind enough to clear it out, but not before sharing some other horrific animal-in-engine stories with me that I didn't really need to hear. As they are continuing to work on my car, they claim I need to replace another part which they magically "happened" to order in addition to my idler. The total came to just shy of $500.I have trusted the team here up until this point, so I said to go ahead. Before leaving, I was also approached by one of the mechanics trying to privately sell me the shocks that he had removed from his own truck. I declined.Within a day, the squeaking was back with a vengeance. I looked under the hood myself and saw that wires to my brake fluid and my power steering had been chewed through a long with my battery severely corroded and getting corrosion all over the other parts of my engine. After talking with a buddy who knows about cars, he was confident that the corrosion is what was causing my repetitive squeaking problem and he was shocked that they didn't at least notify me of the corrosion and wires being severed.Brought my car back to Grismer and explained I wasn't happy and that I didn't trust them to work on my car any longer. I asked them to contact corporate to see what could be done about a refund since additional comped service was not an option for me.I had to follow up with the manager at this location after he didn't call me when he said he would. He said best they could do was $100 back and a free serpentine belt and installation. I don't want them touching my car again, so I asked for corporate's number.I called the number he gave me and it was a random woman with no affiliation with Grismer. I found the corporate number myself (not remotely similar to the number he gave me) and asked to talk to a supervisor. He called me once from a restricted number, so I assumed it was a spam call. By the time I listened to the voicemail a couple days later, I called back trying to get in touch with him again only to be told he was out of office.Well, a week and a half and two more calls to corporate later and I have had no response. I am hoping this review might get someone to actually contact me.Edit and proof that the parts I paid for were much adieu about nothing: I have since re-attached the wires and cleaned off the corrosion myself for all of $20 in supplies and the squeaking has vanished.

Expect they will try and sell you a service you probably don't need. Be smart don't just say yes ask how much it is. I only chose Grismer because it's closer to my job than the dealership. The dealership gives me a better price for the general maintenance I need. These guys must make more on the hour than coal miners. Seems like $700 is pretty high for 1.5hrs of basic maintenance no actual repairs.

The gentlemen at Grismer are personable and professional at the same time. I've been a customer for more than 15 years and have always gotten good work done for reasonable prices.

So kind and knowledgeable! They helped me figure out exactly what tires I needed for my Jeep without just pointing me to the most expensive tire. Left feeling confident in my tire choice. I'll be back for future needs.

Extremely friendly staff and pretty knowledgeable. This is now my 4th car I ve got new tires on through grismer and encountered my first issue with anything they have recommended. This was not a mistake by them. Everyone has their own expectations out of tires and every car has different driving characteristics. I am an outlier based on how much I travel and own an oddly weight portioned car, due to being a hybrid and having aftermarket equipment in it. Didn t have to make a huge fuss about not liking the tires explained the undesired characteristics. Discussed options and resolved the issue in less than a day.Even if this was a mistake. Mistakes happen and it s all about how you resolve the issues. Mine happened to be a rather expensive issue however as stated I m an outlier and it actually goes to show they didn t upsell me on a way more expensive tire originally and went with a price to performance tire that I believe 90 percent of people would have been happy with.

Ran over some debris on my way to visit family for the holidays which resulted in a flat. The guys at Grismer were extremely efficient and effective in getting and installing a new tire for me. They had me in and out in no time, and were incredibly courteous and also shared some laughs. Highly recommend them for any tire service your vehicle may need!

I told the owner I was going to leave a negative reply, and he said Go ahead! I had been coming to the 1707 Woodman Dr Grismer for many years, and never had problems under previous ownership. They tried 3 times to patch the same tire and failed each time. The last time the owner tried it and said the tire is too old. I took it to N Fairfield Grismer, and utilizing the soapy water technique (air escaping from the tire will create bubbles), Cory showed me where the Woodman Grismer patch was slowly leaking. I didn t want to spend $82 (no refund received at Woodman Grismer) patching a used tire, so I went to N Fairfield Grismer ordered a new one.

Had a mishap and needed two new tires right away. I had my car towed to the Grismer location on Woodman Dr. . I got there just after they opened the next business day. The manager, Brent I believe was extremely professional, friendly, curtious.Work was done in a timely manner. All together a very good experience

I arrived late but was still able to get my brakes done. The parts were preordered so I didn t have to wait very long. It only took about 30 minutes. Everyone was very nice

Excellent communication about the issues with my car. They did a thorough check on my brakes and informed me as to why my air pressure light was on. My sensors battery died. I ll be back for any repairs needed.

I have been going to this location for several years and I look back now and I think dang they probably got one or two over on me and I didn t know. That s unfortunate.I brought my boyfriend s truck here and I specifically stated, the brake line was broke and the blower motor was out. The truck barely stops and there s no heat. I want it to stop and I want heat. I asked them to change the turn signal and do an oil change as well. They called and said it wasn t either of those. They said it wasn t blowing heat because it didn t have antifreeze. I said the blower motor used to kick on and off, it s loud. You could hear it rattling. But it stopped. So the blower motor is going out just fix it. They said after adding coolant it has heat. They said they did a brake check and everything looked and checked out perfect. The truck is in great shape. I said there s no way it s not the brake line. When we put brake fluid in it, it pours out in the middle of the truck, not the rear. The brake fluid comes out as soon as you touch the brakes it squirts right out. They said it s holding brake fluid. Here s what they determined was wrong:The only thing they saw wrong was the left spring was broke, serpentine belt was cracked, the belt idler was bad, and no coolant in reservoir. The ball joints boot was ripped on the passenger rear axle seal leak. They detected no brake fluid leaks during the vehicle brake check (I m going to say that s a lie) They said the vehicle has heat after adding coolant. (Another lie) Blower motor is squealing, but heat comes on. Idler pulley was replaced, serpentine belt was replaced, RNR belt and pulley, axle seal, RNR axle seal passenger side, rear end cover gasket, charged for a heat diagnostic test (why), oil change, and a brake check (not sure why when I got it back and almost wrecked). Then, when I got the truck back, we drove it off the lot and it had no brakes and no heat, and when my boyfriend was behind me, he almost wrecked into me. He had to go over a curb into a parking lot and coast to stop. We had to take the truck back to Grismer and out of guilt because they ripped me off, they put a new brake line on it because the brake line was rusted out and clearly BROKE. We already knew that! But when they get the truck back a second time and look at it they want to mention all these things wrong that were never mentioned before after the brake check?? Like calipers needing replaced and other brake lines going bad. Seriously?! So why was I charged for a brake check the first time when you clearly didn t do one?Did you really think I wouldn t notice it didn t stop? Or I just wouldn t say anything? We still have no heat because the blower motor is still broke. And no turn signal, because they forgot.I spend thousands there. Well time to find a new mechanic.I m out $1000 for a bunch of stuff that wasn t the issue! Not happy.

Never been here before. Had a flat on the road and AAA tow to Grismer. While waiting for tow called ahead and spoke to Jason, very friendly & professional! Checked my tire, discovered I needed new one - not in stock. Jason got one in via courier and were out of there in about 2 hours - MUCH better than expected! Also, having checked price after the fact got a good deal too. I have to get another tire to pair the new one I bought - I ll go back there even though I live on the other side of town.Further review 10/11/23. Had a second tire replaced as suggested. Everything went well until I got home and noticed a charge for Tire Owners Protection Plan . It was never mentioned to me nor did I ask for it. Extremely disappointed since the reason I went to this specific store (probably 4 stores closer than this one).

Finding a good and trustworthy mechanic can be a challenge, but not at Grismer on Woodman. My car had several issues that needed addressed, but I didn't really know where to start, and I didn't want to be taken advantage of. After getting an estimate from a different shop, I brought it to Grismer for a second opinion. Everyone I interacted with was great, but I had the pleasure of working with Steve the most. He let me know and showed me all the issues that my car had. Including a critical one the other shop missed. He worked with me to help me figure out the best way to repair all the issues. Once we figured out a plan, he made all the repairs in a timely and cost effective mannor. I will definitely be back to this loction for any future car issues. I also highly recommend Steve to do the work.

Did a great job on my tires; took them around 2 hours to get it done. They did tell me my brakes and rotors needed replaced when it was nowhere near time for them to be.

Had a damaged tire and a failing tpms sensor during a road trip. They took our car in on the spot and replaced the tire and sensor fast and for a good price. They were also one of the few places I spoke to that would patch tires (our tire couldn't be patched because the hole was in the sidewall).

I got my brake pads replaced fall of 2022, and noticed a slight grinding noise over the course of the next 9 months or so. After things exacerbated, I decided to bring my car in to have my brakes checked out. They replaced my brakes under the 1 year warranty after my brief summary no questions asked. I didn't even ask them to go forward and do that, just to take a look. They went and did the right thing that they thought would be best and fix the issue without hesitation. I feel great having gone into an auto shop and have gotten this sort of treatment. Trustworthy and competent mechanics that want your car to be working the way it's supposed to.Recommend giving this location a shot, I haven't been disappointed yet.

I went in for a oil change and was quoted a price of 79 something for the price this included the filter and oil. I ended up spending 187 dollars for an oil change when I could have went else where including the dealer in which I take my care for the 79 dollars. I will never go back there.
