Stopped in here to get a transmission repair for a nissan rogue. After going over my options, we decided on a used replacement transmission that came with a warranty. Dayton transmission did a fast and beautiful job installing the transmission, but sadly, after a short amount of time, the used part failed. Dayton transmission totally stood behind their work to get me back on the road. I couldn't say enough good things, but most of all, they were open and honest with me.

My work truck had gave me some transmission problems, ended up going out on me, so a friend of family referred me to his cousin who literally tore my transmission all the way out an left it apart an then abandoned the job. This had put me in a very high stressful situation being the work truck at the time was my only vehicle!.Ended up taking it to Dayton transmission, who in return not 9nly fixed my truck an got me back on the road Rollin. But they had it back running with a 2 day turn around!. Nw that's what you call service!.I'd recommend Dayton transmission to any1 looking to get real results!Huge Thanks to Dayton Transmission!.Thank you!.

I just wanted to say a word about the good people at the shop. My son and I are driving from the East Coast to the West Coast Seattle and then north to British Columbia We are driving my sons 20-year-old Toyota 4Runner.His truck had some odd behavior just before we hit Dayton. We went to another shop that suggested rebuilding the transmission at a cost that was more than half the price of the truck.After some discussion my son found Dayton transmission via Google.They made time for us in a very busy schedule. They made an extended effort Via road test and also engine diagnostics to replicate the problem. They then gave us solid informed advice.They wouldn t take my money so I figured telling the story was the least I could do.Bottom line - friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Could easily have suggested some expensive repairs which we would have paid for. They provided excellent transmission advice. Much obliged

Great job done,they were on it right away without delaysThis was a work truck and that's bread and butter. Other places I have taken my trucks to have left them sit there for weeks. Price for work done was more than fair.Richard

Love 'em and won't leave a bad review as they've always done right by my family. Have taken several vehicles to them and have had no probs with vehicles after repairs. My only gripe is that I wish they would've communicated a bit better how behind they were in jobs. Had my truck sitting down at their shop for days with no work done, hadn't even been moved from where I parked it when I dropped it off originally! I was told to drop it off Wednesday morning and it would be looked at and an estimate drawn up but I ended dropping it off Tuesday evening because I was on that side of town. I Lost out on a loan to pay for repairs waiting for an estimate and had to go pick up my truck this morning! Not mad at all but a little disappointed so let's just say there was a "miscommunication" concerning availability of techs to look at my vehicle

Local shop. Great service. Prices are reasonable, but it is the service that won me.A little gruff, but I feel the best mechanic shops are always are. That's a sign your dealing with car-persons and not people-persons.I'd highly recommended to out of towners, new residents, or lifelong Dayton residents.

I've brought my vehicle to Dayton Transmission Repair twice (for unrelated issues), and was extremely impressed both times! After being told elsewhere that my transmission needed to be replaced, Dayton Transmission was able to repair it for a fraction of the cost. They have proven to be honest and straightforward, and I appreciate that they do not try to "fix" things that aren't broken. I highly recommend them!

Buyer beware, so took my Acadia in last year for a trans rebuild, and of course in true mechanic shop fashion, they give you a price $3900 then come back with a higher amount than the original. So fast forward a year later transmission out no longer goes in reverse, after an transmission rebuild really. So of course it's after the 1 year warranty so ill be left with taking care of it. After a year there's no reason a transmission should take a catastrophic failure such as that, after a rebuild. Now with a shop claiming that they've been in business for 30 some years. You'd think it would have a better job done o. A vehicle

If you are looking for a place to take your car for maintenance and to do some repair, this is the place to go. They do an exceptional job with (probably) the best price around. I've been here for 2 oil change, got some tires, and replaced an axle. I don't know much about cars, but Kevin explained and showed me what needed to be done, and he doesn't try to upsell you like other places. It's awesome here. Call before you come, because they can get really busy and may not be able to work you in until the next morning.

I have brought my jeep to this ship multiple times for different issues. The first time I was advised get issues fixed that were covered under warranty so they would not have to charge me. The ship then saved me even more money by giving me options on how to fix a broken module. I would recommend this shop to anyone who want knowledgeable technicians who can save you money.

I've been having all my auto care needs met at Dayton Transmission Repair for the last few years. Always reliable, inexpensive, and quick. I've had shocks, brakes, oil changes, tuneups. And, they will give me a lift back to work when I drop my car off.

I was sent to AAMCO on Smithville by referral. I was beyond pleased with the experience. It was great to go to a shop and not deal with any up-selling. They did excellent work and I tell everyone about them. My boyfriend and I both have been back for oil changes and brake repair. Strong work!

I took my car to this shop after my car logged an transmission-related error code (P0606) and the transmission started behaving erratically. The shop took two days to test drive it and told me that it would not shift at all, which was not the case when I dropped it off or later when I picked it up from them. They wanted to charge me $3500 to replace the entire transmission, which they said could take 6 calendar days to complete. I took it to a Ford dealership and the dealership was able to fix it in one day for $2000. Be very careful taking your car to this place; they are likely to waste your time and money.

Very poor, they added parts that didn't need to make more money. They said i needed a clutch and clutch master cylinder but my car still wouldn't go into gear so they told me i needed a gear cable i told them that was all it needed in the first place. They was changing my 1,780.00.i told them know why, I'm taking them to court. Please don't go to them.

This place is Amazing. My car was in and out in a day and a half. Employees are super friendly and only did what needed to be done. Will definitely go here again and highly recommend.

Definitely not cheap but you get what you pay for. Car runs like a sewing machine. Cheaper options around but not sure if I would risk quality over a couple hundred bucks. Beata being stuck on the side of the road

Save yourself a lot of headache, DON T Trust this place they don t provide any value they do a great job at bullying you into your repairs and then making you believe they re right. The shop is a master at resetting codes and not fixing anything. We will be seeing them in court.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission
