Very professional place. They fixed my transmission with a rebuild. Had a little problem 8 months later, took it back, and had no problems getting it fixed again. I have tried Brownies transmission, and they were awful. This place is the place for transmission wouldn't trust anyone else. Mike and Mike r awesome!

Took my 01 Excursion to have transmission rebuilt, paid $3000 got it back continuously leaked took it back Mike said to replace transfer case to fix the problem but now I'm out another $350, it never leaked prior to to taking it to them. I drove the truck for about 10k miles, took back to have Mike honor the warranty but he outright refused to honor it and blamed me for the problem. I'm a certified mechanic of 20 years and this is bad business. Now I have a truck that won't move and have to put more money into it just because they didn't want to do their job.Service: Transmission

I took my car in to have a diagnostic ran because I heard a whining sound. I received a call back ,and was told by Mike that my transmission needed to be rebuilt and it would cost me $4000. Now to be honest i've never dealt with this company befour so once I got off of work I went in to check out the documentation, but there wasn't any. When I asked the other mind he said well the transmission is slipping between the 3rd and the 4th year. I Asked how he became aware of this and he responded by saying he test drove the car. I asked him what did the diagnostic results say he said it came back with a body code. He took out a piece of notebook paper and wrote down B2797. I Was not given any kind of diagnostic Print out, so I really wasn't sure why they expect it for me to pay them so much money to do something without any evidence of that being an issue. I mean let's be honest if I wanted to guess what was wrong with my vehicle. I could have said in google a whole bunch of stuff all day long. I was under the impression I was dealing with experts in their field. Sadly that is not the case. When you're doing business it is nothing personal but a person needs to know what is wrong with their. Vehicle? And what you plan to do it needs to be laid out appropriately. I feel like they guessed, and assumed I would be dumb enough to pay for it. Any other time I had to have my car worked on. I always receive a print out of what's wrong with it, and what needs to be done. I received nothing except for a weird look and a couple of sentences.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

AAMCO Huber Heights rebuilt my transmission at 101000 miles and a cost of $2,500. After the repair I returned the vehicle to their shop to fix a leaking pan gasket three times. After the third unsuccessful repair attempt I took it to a different AAMCO shop where the pan gasket was replaced and problem solved. After 22000 miles of gentle use the transmission is again having problems and needs to be removed. Inspecting the underside of the vehicle I noticed that a bolt was missing from the engine-transmission mating flange. It was apparently loosely or never installed. While the repair is out of warranty it's reasonable to expect that a transmission that went over 100000 miles without a problem would provide more than 22000 miles of service after a rebuild that was supposedly done by competent technicians and with quality parts. Considering the botched pan gasket repair and the missing bolt issue to be indicative of the quality of the rebuild effort I approached the shop's manager in hope of obtaining some goodwill on the currently needed repair. I found him unhelpful, defensive and arrogant. I also contacted AAMCO corporate with my complaint. I was told that their master mechanic would be consulted and that they would get back to me. I haven't heard from them.Service: Transmission

Superb customer service. Mike 2as easy to work with. 500$ cheaper than any place in the area and warranty was better 18,000/18 mo. Even had a loaner car free of charge. They are efficient and through. Recommended highly.

I know nothing about cars, so when my check engine light came on and I knew it was an issue with my transmission, I was completely lost. I took it to this aamco and they took care of everything. They called my warranty company, made sure everything was covered, and got my Jeep running great again. Mike was incredibly helpful and gave me great peace of mind. Would definitely recommend!

Mike and his crew are great! My 2008 Saturn Vue XR AWD had the transmission go out. I didn't know about AAMCO at first. I had an estimate & diagnostic done at another local Huber Heights business near Lowe's and they wanted $5,000 before tax and while they had my car, I called two other places that were wanting between 6,000-6,700 all three were way more than I could handle and then I found AAMCO of Huber Heights online and called and explained to Mike about the multiple codes the engine light provided the local care care center. Mike was great he said no matter what the repair wouldn't be 5,000 and he even had me towed to them. There was a lot wrong with my car and required a custom transmission rebuild, replace the torque converter & TEHCM, etc., there was a lot of work needed. My car went to them on a Monday and I had it back that Friday. Mike also offered me a free loaner car, too. I saved a little over 1400 dollars with AAMCO and the work comes with a 18 month/18,000 mile warranty. Mike was great to work with and his crew does great work. I highly recommend AAMCO Transmissions in Huber Heights. A+++

I had a wonderful experience at the Huber Heights Aamco. Mike was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. I called him sometimes three times a day to ask more questions and he never once made me feel like I was bugging him for interrupting their work. I recently got my car transmission rebuilt and so far my car has been doing wonderful after 6 month of sitting in my front yard. I would definitely recommend going to Aamco in Huber Heights and I will be going back but hopefully no time soon LOL

I took my car to Brownies they said they had to pull my transmission to find the problem. I decided to get a second opinion saw a comment about Aamco in Huber heights so I went there and they were awesome. Repaired my car, found a bad relay didn't have to pull my transmission. So thankful for honest mechanics.

Spent a lot of time on diagnostics and didn't find a problem so they did not charge us for their time. That's going above and beyond in my book.

They rebuilt our transmission back in 2017 excellent job they did on the transmission but we developed a small leak in the pan took it back to them two years later, fixed it at no charge even though it was over the 18,000 mile warranty, Mike is a very honest person to deal with.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I recently brought my vehilcle to the huber heights aamco because I was experiencing issues I thought were transmittion related problems. The car was not shifting out of first gear all the time and the speedometer and the odometer had quit at the same time. after giving the symptoms to aamco, I recieved a call from them saying the transmittion was bad and needed to be rebuilt, the cost 1400 to 1800 dollars. after research I found over 30 different posts of people have the same issues and they belivied the cause was a faulty vehicle speed sensor. I bought the part, 26 dollars and put it on in 20 minutes with 1 ten millimeter wrench, all symptoms were gone car runs better than new, I have since put 140 miles on the car in 2 days. With this information I have come to the conclusion that aamco is either incomptetent or untrustworthy. I am in the process of printing 500 flyer to post on windshields in the huber heights area to let people know to check their vehilcle speed sensor before giving their hard earned money to a company that is dishonest or at the least incompetent.

The shop owners were very professional ..one of the lead guy called my wife a liar and proceeded to basically threatening me saying I don't know who he is ..lmao but besides the lack of respect from employees everything was awesome
