I drove my vehicle to this location, not knowing there was a free tow and diagnostic bundle. I was then charged a diagnostic fee because I drove it in, instead of towing the vehicle. I asked to speak with the manager Bradley because If I knew about the deal I would have just got the car towed in for free with my membership. Now I am being charged $156 because I drove my vehicle to the shop. I have filed a complaint with AAA member services. This is ridiculous. Would not recommend.

I came here because it was convenient as it was close to my work. Scheduled an oil change for 11am. Long story short, at 3:45pm I showed up and my car was not ready. (I was told it would be done by 12:30pm) There was no communication about a delay. I was lied to and told that my car was not far from being done when I arrived at 3:45pm. I sat in the lobby for 2 HOURS and waited until 5:45pm. And top it off, a friend showed up as a walk-in at 3pm and his car was done before mine. So if you want to be treated like an idiot and sit in a lobby for hours while being lied to about the status of your car, check this place out.

I had my car towed to the shop on a Wednesday evening. My serpentine belt broke.I called on that Thursday and was told that they would get to it on Friday or Monday.I called on Monday twice and each call was a twenty minute wait.When I did get through on the phone the same manager that I spoke with on Thursday didn't seem to know what car I was talking about.I called back in the afternoon and didn't get an answer.Bottom line poor communication between the customers and the shop.

Andrew is the best! While I was waiting, I overheard his care for other customers. He took the time to explain everything and was so kind to each and every person. He is an amazing employee and should be recognized for this. Also he definitely deserves a raise!

I went in today to check on tires and their was one lady being Served at one counter and the other guy was on phone when the lady left the guy serving her went to the back and the one on the phone kept going back and forth from the office across the reception it's like they didn't want to serve me is it because I'm black or what was really going on there. That kind of behavior is very disrespectful I waited for 15 minutes then went to my car only to see one of the guys at the back on phone.

I have reviewed AAA Downtown Dayton before but I want to emphasize the honest and excellent automotive service you'll get here - no extra fees or surprises. Andrew is nice and friendly he is the best service writer ever. He explains everything well. Besides the exceptionally awesome customer service, it is knowing that the mechanics will also check my vehicle to ensure it is in excellent driving condition. I appreciate them all.

Very poor service, it took them 2 hours just to do an oil change, and the window sticker they provided me had no way of letting me know when I need to get the oil changed again. I went back after this to get a price estimate for a different issue, and the employees working at the desk were no help whatsoever. There weren't even any customers there, and yet the only thing they could say to me was " Someone will be with you shortly" as if there were several customers in there. Really, seriously? My own mom even stated they took too long to change my oil as she was visiting me that day from out of town and she gave me the money to get the oil change. 1 star is being generous, I do not recommend this place at all, you are better off going to All Tune and Lube a couple doors down at 400 East 3rd Street.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the recent experience I had with your service department. I have been a loyal and satisfied customer of your company for a considerable time, but the events surrounding my recent visit have left me deeply concerned and dissatisfied.On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, I brought my vehicle to your service center for a general inspection due to the engine symbol being illuminated on my dashboard. When I arrived, I inquired whether you could accommodate me on that day, and I was assured that you could. However, the series of events that unfolded thereafter has left me questioning the quality of service and the security measures in place at your facility.To summarize the timeline of events:May 23rd: I dropped off my car for a general inspection and was informed that there were two cars ahead of mine. Later that day, I was told that they would not be able to inspect my vehicle until the following day. I decided to leave the car overnight.May 24th: When I checked the next day, I was informed that two cars were still ahead of mine. This process continued for subsequent days as well.Monday, May 29th: After not hearing from your service center, I called to inquire about the status of my vehicle. I was told that two cars were still in line ahead of mine.Tuesday, May 30th: I contacted your service center again, and finally, my car was fixed. It turned out that there was a nail in one of the tires. I was relieved to hear that the issue was resolved.However, upon picking up my vehicle, I was appalled to find that it was left unlocked on your parking lot. The interior was in disarray, with tissue paper strewn across the seats, my winter gloves scattered around, and my prescription glasses, valued at $1500, were missing. I immediately contacted your service center to report the situation, hoping for swift action and resolution. I called the police to investigate but DPD said there were no cameras there so - CASE CLOSED.Unfortunately, despite my attempts to communicate the gravity of the situation, there has been no response or action taken by your team as of August 21, 2023. This lack of accountability and customer service has left me deeply concerned and upset. The security of my vehicle and personal belongings should be of utmost importance when entrusted to your care.Please cancel my membership!

Andrew is awesome. This shop has always taken excellent care of me, because they treat the cars that come in like their own. Andrew gave me solid advice on how to sort out my vehicle's issues, and did not take extra money from me when he could have because it wouldn't have made sense from his perspective. A trustworthy shop can be hard to find, so I'm glad I can take my car here and not have to worry about being taken for a ride.

Excellent place, upholding the outstanding AAA reputation! The manager, Andrew, helped me thru some difficult repairs. I live on a fixed income, so car repairs can be a pain, especially an expensive one like a water pump failure. Got the driver's side window fixed, too, after it being broken for over a year. Everyone I met there from tow truck guy to manager to mechanic were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful....patient too cuz I had a lotta questions cuz of the money involved to fix everything. I've been to the Huber Heights AAA, but I think I like this one a bit better. They seem to "run a tighter ship," so to speak!

I've been coming here for over a decade. I feel like I always get good, honest service. I've never left feeling as if I had been cheated. They never seem to mind stopping and putting air in my tires when they are low. I've only had one bad experience, many years ago with an employee who no longer works there (different name & ownership then). I would definitely recommend them.

The staff was incredibly friendly, honest throughout the replacement of both a failed alternator AND battery. Confirmed the cost before doing any work, and there were no surprise fees. Complimentary and helpful, took great care of my baby.

I have always felt confident in the work they do and anytime I have an issue they are honest and trustworthy. As an old school mechanic I always wait for someone to tell me that it's something different than what I know it is. I've never had this problem with this shop.

Kudos to AAA! I woke up early to take a trip out of town to find one of my tires was low. While airing it up I saw a nail in the middle of the tread. I drove to AAA on east Third and waited for them to open up. 7:30 is very early and was appreciated. They didn't have a 'tire tech' available yet, but one of the guys in the office took it upon himself to fix it for me so I could get back on the road. He came back with bad news, the nail I saw wasn't actually causing the leak, I had a break at the top of the sidewall. I feel like some places would've just plugged the nail I saw and then sent me on my way to be in trouble later. Well regrettably I had to replace the tire. I've always been taught to replace tires in pairs, but with the great price they gave me I was able to replace all 4 with tires they had in stock! I was very happy to still be able to get out of town within a couple hours of my planned time. Thanks Daryl and John you turned a nightmare into a dream. p.s. The ride was a lot better on the new tires :D.

They seem very nice but their price for tires are high end price wise. I originally called them because they sell the same brand tire that I needed replaced when I got a flat, now b/c I drive a AWD, I've been told I should have all 4 replaced. And it's not even offering me the tire brand I originally wanted. I'll have to do some estimate shopping before I go back.

They are nice the prices are high I checked around at other places while sitting there and the prices were lower , even at other AAA centers. My appointment was at ten o'clock I wasn't waited on until ten thirty.

Went to go get an oil change, left with a check engine light on... the service rep I was dealing with said "it was on when we brought it in" which is 100% false. Told me they couldn't do anything about it. Absolute scam and incredibly rude when I tried to explain that they had this information wrong on their end. My family owns a car dealership and I'd any of the service reps treated their customer that way they'd be fired. Unbelievably unprofessional.

My car rides brand new. After taking my car to the dealership and Firestone twice this year, I was really skeptical about another mechanic. I am very pleased and I strongly recommend this location to everyone. Thank you guys!

Terrible apparently they charge 130$ just to check your oil and it costs 85 for an oil change being a member does not help you at all you ll be spending a lot of money for nothingggg

I was glad when this place occupied the space of the former Gallagher Tire (Goodyear) building. I have been pleased with their service since they have been opened. They offer special rates for AAA customers and I have found their service to be fast, honest, and true to their word. My only hope is that offer Saturday service hours, if only for oil and tire changes. Keep up the good work!

I'm not sure if it's just me. I recently joined AAA and tow drivers have been exceptional in providing me service however, I have the complete opposite experience at the downtown Dayton auto service. Staff are short with me, ignore me and are very dismissive when I try to request service. I started to wonder if it was me so I had someone else take my car and they received better treatment. It really sucks because I work downtown and have heard great reviews from others.

My alternator was going out. I called this morning and was told to bring the truck in. I had a bad battery cable that caused the alternator to fail and they replaced the cable and the alternator in about two hours. The employees here are top shelf and I would recommend this location to anyone. Also, my truck is twenty six years old and I won't trust it to anyone else because they've proven their abilities to me on MANY occasions

We are from Georgia and our college aged daughter s car broke down on the hwy in Dayton on a recent trip. AAA towed the car to this station (3rd St) very late on a Friday night. When we realized the shop was not open on Saturday, we called Charles at another local AAA Tire & Auto Service shop. Charles was very helpful and immediately called the manager of the 3rd St. location, Chris, who immediately agreed to drive to the closed shop on his day off to help my daughter! Chris made a quick assessment of the issue and then coordinated with AAA to have the car towed to another garage that could make the repair on a Sunday.Charles and Chris both gave us INCREDIBLE service- way above and beyond!! Especially meaningful to us was Chris s honesty regarding the issue- it ended up being a small issue that could be fixed for around $200. In all honesty, they could have charged us any amount and we would have paid it. This level of Integrity and service is so rare- I would not hesitate to take my vehicle to AAA Tire & Auto Service!
