Had my transmission go out a month ago and couldn t figure out why because I ve previously had it replaced a year ago by brownies transmission on dorthy lane and they sold me a lemon transmission, Simon (owner of a-Dayton transmission) took care of me, listened to all my problems and took action right away to get me back on the road for work. Truly one of the best experiences and shops around the Dayton area, if I had to recommend any shop it would be this one. Thank you Simon !

Horrible service. Our car has been trashed by these guys. It was broken into even though they swore it was locked and there was no broken windows on the vehicle, we suspect one of the guys who worked there did this

Simon is the best! The service, price, and workmanship is second to none. We have two older luxury suvs and there is no where, including the dealership, I would ever take my cars other then Simon and his guys. These guys are professional, never try to over charge, and make sure the issue is taken care of right the first time. Take your car needs to Simon and A-Dayton Automotive once, and you will never look back to any other shop to trust your car needs with ever again!

I've brought in a couple vehicles over the years and they've been such an amazing help no matter the issue. I truly appreciate their expertise and friendly attitude. I would not visit this location they do not stand behind their work. They don't offer customer friendly results to issues with workmanship and don't value the customer at all. If you have used this shop be prepared to play the "SIMON SAYS" game and fork out a ton of money for inadequate service and parts.

I recently purchased a used Honda Civic, and after a week of driving, I've discovered some transmission issues. I went down to A Dayton Transmission for assistance, and Simon was extremely helpful, supportive, and giving! Simon took very good care of me. I heard about them through word of mouth. He did quality fast work for a reasonable price. That's hard to find these days. There were a few parts that I thought I needed but apparently didn't and they told me instead of just putting them on and charging me. Very pleased with their service.

I was pleasantly surprised at how efficient this shop was. 30 minutes after I dropped my car off Simon called me to tell me what the problems were & how much everything was going to cost. They replaced my thermostat housing & spark plugs & also repaired an oil leak, all for a price way below what I expected! I will definitely be returning for any future repairs & referring friends/family to this shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Very professional. Always does a good job. Hires good mechanics and technicians. The owner is very knowledgeable and performs quality work on any vehicle that goes through the shop!

I got 1000 into the area and was looking for a place to get some work done. They were very good at communicating the issues as well as the estimated cost. There was a quick turnaround and my car is running fantastic. I m grateful for the honesty and the value that I found here and look forward to bringing my car back hopefully not too often! ;)

I'm extremely cautious of car repair shops, because I hate feeling like I'm being upsold or over charged for repairs. This place does great work, they're fast, friendly and VERY reasonably priced. Super honest guys too, I felt very comfortable having my car fixed here. I will be a customer of theirs for the foreseeable future.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Very rude individual. Took a week and a half to diagnose the issue with my vehicle, although I had already had it checked by other mechanics. Once I told him I didn t agree with his outrageous price he needed my vehicle gone ASAP, which was a very difficult thing to get done at the last minute. I do not recommend.

I didn't know what was wrong with my vehicle, so I told them all of my issues and things I've been told by other mechanics and asked for a diagnosis. Within 24 hours, i.e. one business day, I was told what was wrong with it and had a professional suggestion on how to fix my car problem. Simon and his staff are the real deal. This automotive shop is honest. Simon is an expert diagnostician. He has a staff of excellent mechanics. They don't con you with showing you a filter or whatever and telling you that you need hundreds of dollars of unnecessary work. But most importantly, they find out what is wrong and they fix it. Simon might inform you that since they are doing something, they could also perform some preventive maintenance that might be due soon, since your care is there. But it is information. Not a hard sell.The guy eats and sleeps cars. He not only attends auto races, but races himself. The shop used to be a transmission shop owned by a guy named Mike, but Simon bought it several years ago and Simon's shop does general automotive maintenance and repair with all the modern diagnostic equipment.One time my car needed a tow and A-Dayton arranged it through another tow business. Couldn't beat the price and service.The last time I was there, they took meticulous care with COVID-19 precautions. Masks, gloves, social distancing and cleaning door handles and any part of the interior they might touch. Made me feel safe. I am a physician and I was impressed with the health precautions. They pay attention to detail.

Needed to get my headlight bulbs replaced. I would have done it myself, but didn't have the tools to remove my entire front bumper to get to them. So I took it to Simon and the crew at A-Dayton Automotive. Quoted me an hour and a half. Had it done in an hour. Fast and friendly. Will definitely be coming back to see them for my car needs.

We have been going to A-Dayton for many years, it was really just a transmission repair shop owned by Mike. When Mike brought Simon in, he found the best!Simon and his crew are top-notch mechanics! They are able to do full car repairs and foreign cars as well.So glad we found these talented young men to take care of our auto needs. And the best part, they are HONEST & REASONABLE!

Probably the best auto mechanic I've been to. After the service we received today (after an upsetting experience with a corporate establishment) they have 2 customers for life, and many more that I will happily sent their way. Happy to support small, local businesses and also to be able to trust the people working on my vehicle.

They fixed the transmission in my durango about 2 years ago and its still running great. Now I need my nissan fixed so I will be taking it there.Simon is very nice, friendly & knowledgeable.

Have had my older beater pontiac g6 in here 3 times now. This last time was for a starter, then previously sway bar end links and a radiator.Simon is great. Very enthusiastic and the prices have always felt fair. The turn around has also been quick and they've usually gotten me out in a day or two.When I had them check the sway bar end links while getting new tires I mentioned that during a patch job a bigger chain tire shop had said I had excessive wear on my tie rod ends as well. Simon and his crew were my 2nd opinion and confirmed my suspicion of just needing the sway bar end links. 3 years later my tie rods are still fine.Was originally referred here by my stepndad and they did a great job fixing a nightmare electrical issue on his Cadillac that was just out of warranty.

I took my Jeep Grand Cherokee with the quad drive transmission. It has a unique system and Mike did not have the equipment to read the codes. He told me what he thought it would be and it was very expensive to have repaired so I was out the door knowing exactly what the problem was and he did not charge me for his time. My dad took his Cadillac over to Mike on my recommendation and rather than a repair job that cost more than the car they did a tune-up and fix the problem $130.

Check engine light came on yesterday and I stopped by to let them know. Mechanic came out and ran tests on computer module for free in the rain! They truly take care of their customers.
