I needed a pre-sale inspection for a car I was planning to purchase. I called Jim's and explained that I lived an hour away from the dealership and their shop and they completely handled all of the arrangements of getting the car dropped off, inspected, and picked up! I believe I talked to a man named Nate. The price was amazing for the thorough inspection. I asked for a quote on tires for the vehicle to show the dealership and they also provided a quote for two different types of tires. They got the car in the same day that I called and sent me the report that day too! What a great business!

Great customer service. Had to get a new transmission. Wasn t pressured in to buying new. They found us a used one with low miles and got it done before they said it would be. Very happy.

We were caught off guard when we were making our return trip back to Ohio to visit family and our brakes needed replaced. Jim and his staff took immediate care of our needs and made sure we were back on the road within 24 hours. Great people. Great service.

I had gotten an oil change at another place earlier in the day, and when I arrived in Dalton, I noticed that the oil pan was dragging on the ground. The guys at Jim s were so kind to fix it for me, and had me out of there in 10 minutes! Thank you guys so much for all of your help!

Excellent work, great timing with getting your vehicle worked on and back to you. I take all my cars here and have never been disappointed. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good prices highly recommend! Thank you Jim's auto repair and transmission for the good service.

My wife and I are were visiting the area and had driven through Amish Country to visit P Graham Dunn. While taking the many backroads had developed a slow leak in our tire. After doing a quick search for auto care we found a local repair shop and stopped to have it checked out. While they were unable to help look at the damaged tire due to being short-staffed they were able to air the tire up so I could continue my search. After another search, we stumbled upon Jim's and off I went. What a find! Upon walking in and discussing my plight while sightseeing and full trunk of purchases with difficult access to the spare, Michel had genuine empathy and had one of her staff in the vehicle and to the garage within a minute. After just a few minutes, Jim came out to show me the small shard of metal that was in the tire and informed me they would be able to make the repair. Within minutes, the tire was repaired and the car was pulled back up front and was charged an extremely fair price which may have only been for the repair kit itself.Thank you to Michel and Jim for being you...clearly great, family oriented people who genuinely care about taking care of people.Dalton, Oh---you are very fortunate to have Jim's in your community!!!Thank you again Jim, Michel and Staff!Service: Tires

Was over charged for a foot of transmission line $190.hrs worth of work all spliced together with compression fitting. So much for having Jim's transmission do my lines not professional at all....not a happy customer. Wouldnt reccomend to anyone....

I only trust Jim's to take care of my car. I bought it used from someone who didn't care to take care of it. They work with me and make sure I'm well taken care of and my care is fixed properly. Never had an issue with them. I know if I call or show up someone will take a second to look at my car and see what's wrong.

I ve known the family for many years. Nate was exceptionally awesome to work with on referring me to a set of 4 tires to get for our Toyota Sienna. Would highly recommend working with these guys all day long. Was really impressed with the information he shared with me on tire manufacturers. The guy's at Jim's did an incredible job! I went in with the need for a transmission fluid drain/fill and to have an oil leak checked. My FIAT 500 already runs better after the fluid change! On top of that, INCREDIBLE prices compared to local competitors. Overall a fantastic visit with great service. It's not often you leave an auto shop looking forward to your next visit! Big thanks to the guys at Jim's!!!

As a young female they haven t done me wrong. My car has had big problems and they re done an excellent job each time. This time I spent $1400 and more problems popped up after I got it and they continued to fix it when I brought it back then just handed me the keys with no charge. Seven years ago, my wife and I moved to the area and needed an auto mechanic we could trust. We got connected with Jim's and haven't gone anywhere else! To say you can trust Jim and his team is an understatement. Excellence, integrity, fair prices, and exceptional customer service are standard. Every time we have our cars serviced, we have complete confidence that the job will be done right by a trusted friend and his team. Could not give a higher recommendation!

I have taken all of my vehicles to Jim's Transmission & Service for years. They will work on anything. I have even purchased my batteries there. Their prices were even better than auto parts stores.The best complement I can give is that I know 100% how honest this company is. They would NEVER tell you that you need something done to your car if its not necessary. They always give you all the options and scenarios.For any big jobs, I would NEVER go anywhere else because I fully trust the service I am going to receive at Jim's! The same goes for small jobs. Some auto repair shops will tell you that you need many other things done.I have only had extremely positive experiences with my repairs at Jim's.

I have always had a good experience with Jim's transmission. They are reliable and trustworthy. They will always give you a fair estimate and will never price gouge. The workmanship is of the highest quality. Being a woman I appreciate this because I looked a long time to find a mechanic I could trust.

I've gone to Jim's for most of my car service over the past 5 years. They are always fast and get the job done right. They are also very open and transparent about the cost of repair jobs. No matter how big or small the job is, I trust these guys to take care of it.

Jim's transmission does good work at reasonable prices. The thing I like about them the most though is that I can trust them to give me honest advice about my vehicle and what needs done to keep things running well. Quality people, quality work, reasonable prices.

I absolutely love the people at Jim's Auto Repair & transmission. They always fix my vehicle very quickly and are so wonderful. I will never go to another repair shop again. They always treat me so well. I highly recommend the place to any and all people that need car repairs.

Great workmanship, and great people! We're always more than pleased with the work we have done at Jim's Transmission, and we've had everything from simple jobs to major repairs completed here, on multiple vehicles. Jim always takes the time to not only explain the problem, but will walk us through the solutions and the best options available before completing the job. We will continue to bring all of our maintenance and repair work here. We wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.

I read the last and only review for Jim's Transmissions in Dalton so I had to post. I recommend Jim 100%. He put a new transmission in my car and he did a great job. The price was $200 less than the other quote I received. After he replaced the broken parts he saved all the broken parts for me and went over everything that was wrong. No one does this. They usually just tell you what they did. Jim actually shows proof of what was wrong. Honest guy that does great work. Don't hesitate to go here. My transmission has shifted smooth ever since.

We recently moved to North Carolina, but I lived in Ohio with my wife and kids for 4-5 years and took all of our vehicles to Jim's for oil changes, new tires, new brakes and engine work. Always fair prices... but what we liked the most was that he is only interested in what is best for the safety of the owner and the longevity of the cars life. You don't see that often and we've yet to find a good mechanic down here in NC. Jim, come save us!

They have done transmission work on several of my vehicles along with other friends vehicles. I have also used them to do brakes and major repairs. Jim's guys do great work and do not oversell you. I had authorized them to do some engine work a few years ago, and Jim called and said the part was fine and didn't feel it was necessary to tear into the engine which saved me several hundred dollars.. Very few places would have told me that. I trust them completely with my car. I do not use them for simple things like oil changes since I live over 75 miles from his shop, but would highly recommend them to do any repairs on your car. Their prices are competitive and honest, not cheap. If you want cheap, go to Wal Mart, but if you depend on your car, take it to Jims.

Jim and his son are a great asset to the Dalton community. They are genuinely nice people both personally and professionally. When they give you an assessment of your vehicle it's accurate, fair and honest. Best mechanic in Ohio.

Jims transmission tries to add on all the "upgrades" your transmission doesn't need. Then he will fix one problem without addressing another problem until the whole vehicle is put back together only to overprice the work he does. I could of taken my vehicle to the dealer and got a better warranty and still paid only 1/3 of the price. I would of went to the dealer but when he called to tell us what was wrong he already had the transmission out when he didn't need to just so he could charge us to put it back in or to use his work.
