We recently had new tires installed at Tuffy Tire and Auto Service, and couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From start to finish, their service was exceptional.The staff at Tuffy were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and accommodating. We love this shop. So much better than any of the car dealerships or quick lube places. We've brought our cars here for years for all sorts of routine service and will keep coming back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I don't know much about cars but I needed mine fixed and usually mechanic would try to get over of me because I don't know much about cars. However, the mechanics at Tuffy's are very honest and explained everything to me with maximum efficiency and clarity. They even created a list of other things that needed to be fixed on mycar that I would've never known of . They are awesome . 10 outta 10 definitely recommend

Took my car in because it was leaking oil after the part was installed it was still leaking oil. They were able to fix the problem under their parts warranty. 10/10 would recommend

On 07/08/2021 I called Tuffy Tire & Auto Service to inquire about getting my door latched repaired since almost every other mechanic was 2 weeks out for an appointment. I was informed there was an open appointment slot for 07/09/2021 at 8:00 AM, so agreed to that date and time.On 07/09/2021 I dropped my car off at 8 AM and then I received a phone call from Tuffy at 10:13 AM about the door latch system would need to be replaced and part wouldn't be there until Monday the 12th. Keith then told me I could store my car at Tuffy over the weekend for secure storage since the door would not close or lock. I called Tuffy back at 11:13 AM to ensure that my car would be stored in the garage and not in the lot. Keith said "We would never store a car over the weekend in the lot, we take care of our customers".On 07/12/2021 I received a phone call from Tuffy at 5:01 PM that my car was ready but they were closing and that I could pick my car up in the morning on 07/13/2021.On 07/13/2021 I arrived at Tuffy at 10:00 AM and was not informed of the damage done to my car until after Keith had me pay for the door latch service and given the keys. Keith then asked if I had a giant scratch on the driver door, I replied absolutely not. Keith proceeded to walk me out to my car to show the damage. Keith said "There is nothing I can do, so I'm going to have you call Tuffy Corporate" and handed me the number to corporate.I called corporate three times and left three voicemails and was informed by Tuffy Corporate that the W. 5th Ave location is a franchised location and that corporate could not make the owner do anything in regards to the damage done to my car at his facility. Shortly after this call I was contacted by the W. 5th Ave Tuffy owner, Carl.Carl expressed his apologies and vehemently denied that the damage was done by any of his employees or in his garage. He said he would refund the cost of the door latch service, which I thought was an extremely nice gesture, but would not cover the cost of the damages done to the driver door. Carl informed me that even if a car is in W. 5th Ave Tuffy s care and custody and it s parked in their lot, they are not responsible for any damages done to the car.I asked Carl if there was anything he would be willing to do to cover the cost of the damages, he said to give him a few days and he would get an estimate from a body shop that he works with. I received a call almost a week later and Carl had an estimate for $1800 to repair my car door. Mind you that my driver mirror is damaged as well from this situation. I was informed that if I went to this specific body shop that he would cover $700 and I would be left with the remaining $1100 in repair costs.I expressed my frustration that this damage was done to my car on W. 5th Ave Tuffy s property and they should be held accountable for the repairs. Carl denied that Tuffy would be responsible for the damages and that he was trying to help me in this situation. I then informed him that if Tuffy would not cover the entire costs I would file a complaint with the BBB as well as the Ohio Attorney General s office, which I have done. After informing Carl of my future actions, the rest of the phone call was unpleasant as he became hostile. I have multiple witnesses to back this claim.Since all of this I have gotten three separate estimates for repairs to my car door and car mirror averaging $2100. All in all, I would have been very understanding if this was a simple mistake made by a W. 5th Ave Tuffy employee and that management would own up to it but that is not the case. I will never use Tuffy s services again, will never suggest anyone go there, and hopefully others will think twice before using their services.Service: General repairs & maintenance

First time customer! I called for an appointment to have them diagnose and recommend a solution for my "old lady" vehicle. A team member helped me make the appointment.Keith, the manager, greeted me when I arrived. From first contact via phone call to my visit today I can tell you without reservation--if you're looking for honesty, pride of workmanship, and the ultimate in customer service you're "home."So important to me: Keith took the time to answer my questions and suggest recommended solutions. This is a Five Star * * * * * business.Highly recommended and since my other mechanic retired (new grandbabies!) Pretty happy so far. I had a check engine light indicating a failed knock sensor, took it in, and instead of just blindly replacing the sensor and charging me, they took the time to determine that the sensor itself wasn't actually faulty. They tried some things, but a week later I was still getting the error light so they took it in again for no extra charge and found where some mice had chewed through wires. Hopefully that's the whole issue, and if so I'm thankful to them for actually tracking down the route of the issue instead of replacing expensive parts blindly.

I made an appointment to get my tire repaired and received an email from an employee confirming my appointment and then sending me a confirmation number. When I arrived to drop of my car for the appointment I was accused of making it up and asked to see the confirmation number. Despite the fact that I did indeed have an appointment I was turned away and told my car could not be serviced. Don t understand why they would accept appointments if they can t hold them and did not appreciate the tone of the worker when I came in. Felt very much talked down too. I moved around my schedule to coordinate drop off and pickup to be turned away. Will not be going back.

Keith and staff are reputable and honest. I consistently get quotes from dealerships and compare them with Tuffy and I usually end up saving a decent dollar amount. Keith and the team have serviced my Chevy from oil changes, new tires, intake issues, and idling problems. Each time, I received the car back the issues were resolved. This place can give you piece of mind for service and price.

Keith was a pleasure to work with and I had him do about half of the recommended repairs to my 26 year old Jeep. The was a great communicator and was very clear about everything upfront. Would hapily bring my vehicle his way for an annual inspection, or any general work I need done. Carl, Keith, and the rest of the Tuffy team are by far the most professional, positive, talented, and flexible guys in the area. I've been going to them at the Grandview location for all my auto needs for the past 4 years. They're upfront, honest, hard workers, and won't add things/BS you for stuff you don't need like some other companies. They're are no words that can describe the level of care and detail they put into their work. They made the entire Auto Service process more comfortable and in an expectant professional environment. Tuffy Grandview is extremely talented and produces unrivaled work and is overall a great place, almost like a family over all these years. I would highly recommend going to them or Carl's other Tuffy locations, 5/5.

Hit a pothole and kept hearing a clicking sound. Took my car into Tuffy. They called me and let me know everything that was wrong with it. I needed to use my car to get to work the next day, they told me it was safe to drive and to drop it off in the next few days when the parts come in. Never once tried to sell me on different products or put fear in me. Keith is amazing, called me by name everytime I walked in and had the best attitude. I ve been here twice. Both times I ve received wonderful customer service. They were up front about costs to fix my car when I had issues with one of my belts and called me multiple times throughout the process. I just visited again today on a busy Saturday afternoon because I was having problems with my windshield wipers. They were very busy, but the manager Keith I believe (I m so sorry if I m wrong) still took the time to just quickly check it out and tried fixing it. They re also very reasonably priced! I highly recommend them!

Excellent service, very honest mechanics which is hard to find. I went in thinking it was my axle and they told me it was just a caliper bolt. We've found this Tuffy to be really good. Repairs and maintenance are done well and on time. Keith, the manager, is knowledgeable and very nice. They let you know in advance whether additional repairs are needed and provide good advice about whether you could wait on repairs. Been going to Tuffys for years, always been reasonably priced and fair. Did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. Had my car start making a rattling noise from a worn out plate in the undercarriage. They were able to take me in and fix it up the same day. Did that repair for free even refusing money when I offered. Upstanding place.

Very nice and professional people with great customer care! But i didn t go there for the customer service, i went there to get my car fixed cause there was an engine problem and was charged $520 for a problem which was a very fair price im assuming but it didn t fix the problem at all. Turned my car on and drove 8 minutes for the same problem to come back. Dropped the car off and they miraculously found the problem after already spending the $520. They did it free of charge and did not explain well what actually happened but was fixed after the second time and haven t had issues since. My 3 star comes from me going in to solve problem A and was charged 520 for it, but they solved problem B and when i returned for them to fix A the second time, i wasn t charged at all which makes me believe problem A was not anywhere near $520.Service: Engine repair

I can't write enough good things about Tuffy Grandview. Everyone who works here has been so kind to me every time I visit, whether it's for an oil change or engine issues. Their prices are more than fair, and their communication is excellent. They let me know the approximate cost, updated me with phone calls while the maintenance was being done, and provided me with clear options at different price points. They were also honest, and not condescending. As a woman I feel incredibly comfortable coming here knowing I won't be talked down to or swindled. Thanks for everything Tuffy!

Went in for a nail in my tire. They made a small mistake and when I brought it to their attention they were extremely apologetic and made it right by waving the cost of the repair. Great costumer service! Will return.

Have been coming to this Tuffy for years now. They have always done an amazing job, very reasonably charged, and I have never felt "swindled" into something I don't need. Keith offers great customer service and I would go have my car repaired anywhere he is working.

I normally don't leave reviews but had such an AWESOME experience today with Tuffy and Carl! Called around 10:30am to see if they could fit my in for a tire repair from a nail. Dropped my car off 15 minutes later and got a call less then two hours later that it was ready. Also learned that the nail didn't even puncture my tire (of course). Upon pick up, there was no charge AND they even put air in them. Was beyond stressed about getting that fixed before the end of the work day and Carl made the experience seamless. Highly recommend them!
