Mikey is a wonderful person and runs his business with the highest quality & integrity. It s not easy finding a shop you can trust to work on your vehicle. This place is it. Highly, highly recommended Right Place Automotive for anyone in Columbus who is looking for an honest, reliable mechanic. The work is always top notch & prices are always fair & upfront. Well worth the drive from Westerville!Sitting in my new silent-running RAV4; Mickey turned a busted exhaust repair around in less than 24 hours from phone call to pickup, so I m no longer deafened on startup. We ve brought vehicles here for everything from warranty repairs to brake work the results are high quality and the cost is honest and reasonable.Best mechanic in the city, for my dollar.

We have been taking our cars (yes, every one we have had in the past few years) to Mickey and his team for quite some time. We could not ask for a better shop to run to when an issue comes up. If you are looking for a place that will walk you through what's up with your car to help you decide what needs repaired at a great price, Right Place is exactly that. They literally keep us going and we will continue to come back for any engine light or weird noise (and whatever else) we have to deal with. We appreciate their hard work and honesty more than they could possibly know.

This is one of the best mechanics in Columbus. Staff are genuine and knowledgeable. The owner is an honest and hardworking individual. This business lives up to its name. I was thankful for the work they did on my Ford F150 replacing my wheel bearings. I ve taken two cars of mine to Mickey, my parents and grandparents have all taken vehicles to him and I have never had a bad experience! Mickey is upfront, transparent, and extremely fair with pricing!! I would highly recommend this company! Especially if you re a female and get intimidated by taking your cars to places alone like myself!

I am a new customer, I read all the reviews. I saw way more good than bad you can t please everyone. I had taken my car to another shop and was quoted almost $800 I called this shop and was told (without seeing the vehicle) $500 but could be a bit more depending on if bolts were seized up or the condition of the brake hardware so I was expecting it to be a bit more. When I picked my car up it was actually less! This has never happened to me ever! I am so glad I didn t have $800 to get my car fixed or I would have never found this shop! Do your homework, check around there are still honest shops you can take your car too! Will definitely come back anytime I need repairs made to my car and I ve already referred 2 friends.Service: Brake service & repair

Wonderful experience. I've spent the last 4 years (since moving to Columbus) trying to find an honest, fair, and reasonably priced mechanic. Mickey and his team really do an outstanding job about telling you what they are doing and why they are doing it. They even squeezed me in during a busy schedule, knowing that I would be stranded without a car. I will recommend Right Place Automotive to every person I run into who is looking for a great place to service all of his/her auto needs.

Mickey definitely knows how to scam more and more money from people. My engine light was on so he said I needed a new catalytic converter which didn't fix the problem plus a bad weld job. Then it was the O2 sensor which again didn't fix the problem. Problem got so bad that my spark plugs burnt up due to excessive raw fuel going into the engine. Engine light still on and the problem was a small whole in the exhaust causing the code which would have cost me only a few dollars instead of over $500.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Awesome place, very detail oriented and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain the entire situation to me both times I've been there. Replaced my starter, brakes, rotors, and calipers for me. I have been going to Mickey for about 8 years now and if i still lived in Ohio he would be my only go to first choice -i wouldnt dare to take my car anywhere else. Mickey is very honest, attentive and does not give up until he finds the issue and fixes it. I was referred to him by another mechanic years ago and he was able to save me over $400, and even charged me less than he quoted me because the repair did not take him as long as anticipated. Where will you find that?? Even though I am now in Florida trying to find another Mickey - i still call him for his expertise and opinion and he is always eager to help. He is hands down the best mechanic I have every worked with, and his customer service is exceptional.Look no further - this is " The RIGHT place". Thanks Mickey!!!!

Mickey was very thorough in his inspection of our KIA Soul. He figured out what was wrong and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. My husband said his car hasn't ran that good since he got it. Right Place Automotive has just got themselves a new customer.

This is the only place I trust with my car. Finding an honest mechanic is hard to come by especially when you are a female who doesn't know much about cars, but Mickey is honest, prices are affordable, and he always explains everything In detail. Would recommend to anyone!

My mother took her sister's car, VW, from CA in with a problem with an interior lights problem , so she thought. Mickey took the time with his busy schedule to look at the car. Mickey was very friendly and honest, he told my mother that there was no problem. He showed my mother where and how the switches worked. We can only give Rights Auto a great review because of their professional way they do business.

My car exhibited several sounds & issues which led me to call Mickey (the "Car Whisperer") at Right Place Automotive! I called Mickey and described my concerns and he was able to get me in a few days later. As I was dropping off my car after hours, he told me to write down my concerns and leave the list in my car so he would cover everything when he performs diagnostics the next day. Not only did he call me and explain my concerns, when I arrived to pick up my car, he listed the cost for labor and parts, and the priority for each concern. Mickey expressed concerns about my transmission and suggested I have a transmissions person check my car first, in case there was a costly transmission problem. I'm not sure how many professionals would defer work until someone else could review the car for issues. His thoroughness, attention to detail, knowledge about cars, and attitude were wonderful. On top of all of this service, he would not charge me for performing the diagnostics and the amount of time he devoted to my concerns. 100% satisfied with Mickey and Right Place Automotive. THANK YOU MICKEY!

I was very impressed with the level of service I received from Right Place Automotive. Part of my car's exhaust system had suddenly broken loose, leaving my muffler dragging under my car. As soon as I pulled in, Mickey kindly greeted me and promised he could help. Even though I dropped in without an appointment, he was willing to work me in. He carefully inspected the entire exhaust system and gave me several different options for how and what to repair. He was very honest and straightforward about my car's issues, and even took into consideration the fact that I expect to get a different car within the next year or so. While other shops might have pressured me to completely replace the muffler and get expensive repairs in the manifold, he actually recommended the less expensive option of having him patch and weld the existing muffler. I was amazed that the job was completed in less than two hours, and I was back on the road for under $50. Based on the level of service I received, I am happy to say I would trust Mickey and his staff at Right Place Automotive with any repairs I may need in the future!

Me & my girlfriend were traveling from NY to California when the car started making a horrible noise in Columbus. So glad the lady at the front desk of the hotel we checked into recommended right place auto. Mickey was great! I don't know much about cars & being that we were so far from home, we were concerned that going to the wrong place could just over charge whatever they want...I paid way less than I expected & as stressful as car stuff can be, Mickey put us at ease & did a great job.

I ve lived in Columbus for the past decade and it took me about as long to find a trustworthy place to take care of my car, but I have nothing but positive remarks for Mickey and The Right Place automotive. They ve been quick and fair each time I ve had an issue! Great place!

I drive a little sports car year round, and naturally I spun out and did a decent amount of damage to the body. I went to a few shops for quotes and was having trouble deciding where to go. My dad referred me to The Right Place, a nice little shop 5 minutes from my home. One of their guys, Mickey, was so helpful with his recommendations. All of the repairs were done quickly, and The Right Place also threw in a few extras! My car looks great, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this shop!!!!!

I just moved to Columbus from upstate NY. I was extremely nervous to find a new mechanic in the area, and I had put it off as long as I could. But one day on the way home from work, my car started violently shaking when I would brake on the highway. I had to find someone. I saw all of these glowing reviews on Google, so I drove over to The Right Place to check it out.Immediately, Mickey greeted me. I noticed his TV behind the counter with informative videos playing on loop. He was able to guess my issues from my verbal explanations, and we scheduled an inspection for the next day. Once my car was up on the lift, he was able to diagnose the problem. He quoted me a number to basically redo my entire front end brakes - pads/rotors/calipers, and hoses - a tire balancing, plus a rear drum adjustment, for almost $200 less than the last person who only did my pads/rotors/calipers. In the end, I also had to have my driver's side sway bar link replaced, and it was still $100 less than my last brake job.Mickey took me out to the car, showed me everything that was wrong, and what he could/should do to fix it. He gave me options, in my own best interest. He could have done half the job right then and there and made the labor, and needed to do it all again a week or two later when he did the other half, but told me to hold off for that reason. I never felt intimidated, or like I was being talked down to.I pulled out of the garage earlier today with a new front end brake system, and no more sway bar link clunk. Mickey is my new guy for car stuff.

Scheduling is difficult here but honestly they are priced really well, they are nice (for mechanics---as in they are all business and no nonsense so they get you in and out) and they are HONEST. They are not going to tell you you need something fixed that you don't need fixed. They are going to tell it to your straight and they are not pressed to "find" something wrong or take advantage of people with little car knowledge

My car's air conditioning had been slowly dying over the course of a couple of years. A year ago I got a quote from a local shop for over $1200 to get it fixed. At that time, my a/c was working about half the time so I decided to wait it out. This year it got much worse. I was hesitant to spend that much on a 10 year old car, but I plan to keep driving it for a few more years, so I decided it was time to bite the bullet. Mickey has always done great work for my sister, so I decided to take it to him for another quote, and he fixed me right up for under $800. He did a great job of explaining exactly what was wrong, and had it fixed super quick. He's a bit of a drive for me, but I will happily take my car there for future fixes!

You want an honest mechanic? You've found him. Ran across Mickey's shop about 8 years ago after getting hammered by a couple other shops. He was way under the other estimates and did great work.

THE best auto service I've ever experienced...Honest, genuine and friendly... One who really cares about the customer satisfaction and least bothered about their money... Mickey is one in a million! I wish I found this place long back... Better late than never... :-)

Mickey has been working on our family cars and I've have sent people there to him he does a great job and never had any complaints about the work he do.. and he dont charge people the dealers rate I would Recommend his services to anyone
