Do not give this business your money. They upcharge up to 350% on parts. On a whim, I googled the price for front quick struts and rear rotors, parts that can be as low as $150 and $35, and Star & Northwest Auto Care charged me $440 and $200 respectively. I was a loyal customer who exclusively used this auto shop for almost 5 years and they swindled me with a smile on their face. When I confronted Donn about this absurdity, he sulked away saying, "I have to make a living."

Been driving from Toronto to Houston when my engine started sputtering and shaking violently at highway speeds near Columbus OH.Took my car to this mechanic and they offered to fix it on the same day. They replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils for me at a very reasonable price.Thank you for the quick service and your friendliness.

Honest quality workmanship. You can trust this team with all of your car needs. They have a ton of experience and have very fair prices. Hard to find someone like these guys this day of age.

Trustworthy competence you can depend upon at fair prices. I have relied on their expertise for over two decades and have never been disappointed. My children and grandchildren continue to take advantage of their service for all of their vehicles despite having moved away from the Grandview/Arlington area years ago.

I have been taking my cars for service at Star & Northwest for 30 years. They do outstanding work at a reasonable price. They are very honest and reliable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else for service!!

Great auto shop! Simple and fast service, they never try to sell me on anything. Both times I've gone to their shop - once because water somehow got into cabin air filter and another time for an oil change - that got me in the same day and had my car done within an hour. They have been a blessing through years; telling me straight if I sincerely needed work done. Recently had an issue where the dealer told me something was wrong with a part S&NW had replaced (along with something new). Now, I have no idea if that was the case or not but I went ahead and got the work done and S&NW gave me refund on the service they provided. I almost wish I had just towed the car to them, but you never know if it's an issue only the dealer service people can fix. Whether as a first or second opinion S&NW is someone I trust to give me the honest truth.

This is the most honest and capable auto shop in Columbus. Smart and professional, from the owner Don to every tech on his team. They have never performed an unauthorized repair, and stand by the work they do. Go once and you'll never take your vehicles anywhere else.

I have had my car towed here twice after their business hours, and both times when I called in the morning to explain what was going on the team was so awesome and had my car looked at, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and performed the repair THE SAME BUSINESS DAY with virtually zero notice. I can tell that their shop is busy too, yet they always pull it off and get the work done so fast and so well. On a separate occasion I took my car here to get a second opinion after being quoted a pricey repair for something at another shop. They took a look and within a few hours called me and said that the issue was fine, and that the other shop was probably just trying to get some money from me. I have not lived in Columbus for many years and finding a car repair shop that I could trust was a little bit of a challenge, but I am so happy to have found this place!

Been looking for a reliable auto repair shop for years. Found Star & Northwest Auto and they ve been great. No nonsense. Don t try to fix something that s not broken. Tires, brakes, wheel bearings, steering wheel position sensors, not much they can t do. Very reasonable and efficient. 5 stars.

The guys that work here are rough around the edges, but they are so helpful if anything goes wrong with your car! I m not super well versed in car stuff, so I call them sometimes with random questions that they re happy to answer. They are reasonably priced and I trust them when I take my car for any repair or check up. Usually, when I call, they just tell me to bring it the next day and the job gets done pretty quickly.

Can t recommend Star & Northwest Auto Care enough!! Went at 8am to get my tires checked, they found two nails and had them both patched by 8:08am. I am so grateful to Donn and his team for helping me out in a bind. They were able to look at my car immediately after another dealer (a quick oil change place that starts with a V) pinched my oil ring and had me leaking oil all over the place. Donn and his team really took care of me and I m just grateful for the excellent service they provided. I won t make the mistake of taking my car anywhere else for service and maintenance! They were very courteous and expedient in their work lots of customers telling me how wonderful and trusting this service operation is.Thanks took my vehicle right in for service change the oil checked all fluids and check tire pressure rotated the tires reset the timer on the oil for future changesThank you so much Star and Northwest service center

I explained that I needed my splash guard that was dragging to be fastened and whileall other places said I had to wait for days to make an appointment, they saw me right away AND helped me free of charge! The reception may not be the most welcoming but trust me, the mechanics know what they're doing. They're very communicative and also make sure you get to decide if you want a quick fix or something that'll last a lot longer. I highly recommend.

Mr. Parsons and his team have the best auto shop in Columbus. I found Star & Northwest Auto care by recommendation of a friend, after receiving a $6,200 estimate from Firestone. I was told they were honest, hard working, and have the best value in the area. I dropped my car off at 10PM on a Monday night, and received a call by 8:30AM the next morning detailing the issues and cost with my car. They were able to fix it for $1,000. My wife and I will be coming here for as long as we live in Columbus.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Couldn't give more praise for their service - My hybrid was towed here, which is how I became aware of the company. Unfortunately they didn't have the precise tools required to fix it, BUT the important part is that Don was open and honest about it. He called me right away to talk to me about next steps. He gave advice on locations to send it to, requested that I let him know how it goes, and he even said he'd check with friends at the location I was sending it to to make sure it was in good hands. I've had many poor experiences with auto-care at other locations, but this was definitely one of the best. Would recommend their service over and over again!

If you're car needs fixing, This is the place to bring it! We've been bringing our cars in for over 12 years! Donn or James usually meet you at the front & you can count on being treated fairly & the most detail oriented way! We Love them!!

Great place to take your car if you want it to stop working! Started taking my car here and within a year my car stopped working. I sold my car and the new owner looked under the hood and gave me the following info. I had gone here to get spark plugs replaced. They used the cheapest plugs possible and didn t properly GAP them so they continued to misfire. I had gotten the belt and water pump replaced and the belt was not properly replaced but I was charged for it. Beware of this place. The old guy at the front is shady. They say they re gonna do one thing and do another. When you ask them basic questions about what was done, they get rude and defensive. Especially if you are a single female and know very little about cars, beware of this place. You ll have better luck at Tom and jerry auto down the street

I recently bought a 1992 f150 and the previous owner had not really kept up on maintenance. And being a 30-year-old car it had some issues. I have been having a bit of a starting problem the past couple of weeks and it just pooped out on me the other day, fortunately it started and I just drove it to Star and Northwest. I was able to drop it off. Being this was totally unplanned I was very surprised the next day when the mechanic called me and gave me a starting point of where he wanted to begin. Being an older car there is always a possibility it could be multiple things (With older cars things wear out over time). So he went thru his estimate, and mentioned It would take a few days to get the parts and again reminded me that it could be just the starting point. With a 31 year old car that is to be expected.First of all its very hard to find a place to work on older cars (they have also worked on my 2002 dually) and second it its great to find a place that's is so prompt and gets right back to you.Yep its not cheap, but I know its labor intensive and im not knowledgeable in that stuff. Also, I need my truck! Theyre courteous and very easy to work with.Recommend.

Had my tires changed here and got an oil change too. Wasn't planning to go back, but the service and pricing is excellent. I'll be a regular customer. They are quick, efficient, and to the point. Changed my tires in under 15 minutes. Highly recommend.

Not happy with their service. I took my car in to have the AC repaired 3 times in less than 3 months. And guess what? It went out again within a week after it was "fixed". When I talked to the manager about it and told him I was upset with how many times I've had to bring my car in for the same issue, he said, "Well, you can always take your car somewhere else." Not exactly friendly or helpful.

My car has some unique problems, and even though Star & Northwest couldn't diagnose the issue, the service I received was five stars. They were very understanding when I provided a vague description of the problems I faced, and waived the inspection fee (twice!) when they could not diagnose the precise issue. Another consistently professional and courteous interactions with the team!

I needed to have a front turn signal bulb replaced. Simple repair usually but on my car it takes getting underneath and taking part of the shield/guard in front of the tire off. I remembered a friend recommending Star & Northwest in the past so I decided to try them out. I also asked them to check out the front end for me. They we're super fast and friendly. Not only checked out the front end but also took it for a quick test drive. I waited maybe 15 minutes. They only charged me for the bulb itself. They're awesome! I couldn't be more pleased.

I had a great experience with all of the men that I interacted with. All men were forward at telling me what my car needed, how much it was and what was necessary to get. The men were personable and polite. The only thing I wish they would have been up front with is that there are two prices...the cash price and the credit card price which is more. My friend who recommended them told me about it so I had to make sure and clarify it with them. Thank you for fixing my car! It runs great!
