A local competitor wasn t able to help fix the problem that I was having with my Truck and frankly was somewhat rude about it so I got on my Apple Maps and read a few reviews about Shifflet Auto Care and it seemed to have good reviews so I thought that I would give it a try. There was a gentleman who worked at the shop that was very friendly upon entering and introduced himself and was very polite and respectful. He proceeded to introduce me to the lady at the front desk as well as the owner and assured me that I was in good hands. The lady at the front desk checked all the boxes. Very organized and knew her job well. She was professional, courteous, and very friendly. She expressed how much that she loved my truck and just knew how to make me feel good and comfortable with my experience. The place was super clean and well kept which let me know that they cared. After it was decided that I was going to do business with them they even drove me home. Customer service was some of the best I ve seen and coming from someone that works in sales it is very important to me. It was a rather expensive fix but if I would have taken it somewhere else not only was it going to be more expensive I would have not discovered this gem of a place. They don t do a ton of advertising but with the job that they did for me look no further. Great business and great people working there! 5 stars

Shifflet Auto Care does great work. I have noticed that everyone... Front desk, owner, mechanics and others take pride in their work and make sure the customer's vehicle and customer is well taken care of. Shifflet's the one I trust my classic to.Thanks Shifflet!

Great experience with Mike s team at Shifflet. And really enjoyed talking with his shop front office manager, but didn t get her name, sorry! I m an advanced shade tree mechanic, but bring tough big projects here, and they always do great reasonably priced work, including complete engine swaps. Honest hard working folks, tell you exactly what s needed, show you any existing issue/damage so you can see for yourself. And if you re lucky ole Jerry himself might be visiting the office too!

Thanks to the honesty and integrity of owner Mike Shifflet and his staff, I have been a valued customer for the past 6 years. They have ASE certified techs and they are a AAA approved repair shop. Prices are competitive and fair, they provide shuttle service if needed, and they do really good work.

A trustworthy and friendly mechanic who genuinely cares about the customer. All staff including owner, front desk, and mechanics were customer oriented and very polite. They were honest about having another 6 months on my brakes instead of running up the bill because they understand customers are struggling in this economy. They truly care about the customer, and I would highly recommend to anyone in Columbus.

Worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic shop. Dishonest and unprofessional.They charged me $1,000 to change a fuel pump, then refused to work out payments with me, held my truck hostage, nearly cost me everything I own.Didn't even fix my truck right. Check engine light came back on same day I got it back, and now I have no windshield wipers.The invoice stated the fuel pump cost $300.Actual price for same pump at O'Reilly's -$139.The invoice stated fuel filter cost $50.Actual price for same filter at O'Reilly's -$14.

Brought in a car I was considering buying. Everything I saw on carfax and from dealer looked good to me, but I'm not a mechanic. I went to where I always go (Shifflet) and Im glad I did. There was a rear main seal leak hidden behind the engine splash shield. That is an expensive repair! Thank you Shifflet!!

GM: On 1/22/2024 dropped off vehicle with a print out Auto Zone provided 1/18/2024 Gavin appreciated . Received a telephone conversation the same day with explanation of diagnosis (Gavin). I will be honest was not happy . But I know received an HONEST, ACCURATE, PROFESSIONAL diagnosis of the problem. Retrieving my vehicle meet Denver as the other technician I forgot his name they both had a sense of humor I enjoyed . Chris and I engaged in a conversation with the same humor. Spent $1800 on a fuel pump and skid plate replacement. Because they didn't tighten down the zip tie and caused 2 of my wires to rub the coating off causing a short in my fuel pump wires, they cost me 2 days of work, due to not baing able to start my car and drive it. I called to be reimbursed for those 2 days( I get paid under the table $100/day) and they said that their not responsible for my Jeep going down, that I needed to have it taken to a TechNet Shop since I'm more than 25 miles from the shop. That would require me to pay for a tow truck to get it to the shop to be repaired. So how is it not your responsibility? Luckily I'm mechanically inclined and was able to fix the problem but what if it was someone else who didn't know anything about cars? They would've been screwed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!

Took my car in to have the code p0026 looked at the day after my CEL came on. They did $1,400 worth of repairs (diagnostic, VVT valve, oil pressure gauge & switch, oil change). I had just had an oil change, but they said I needed to have another with the service. Within a week, the CEL came on again. Said it was unrelated and didn t offer to look at it.It s hard to say whether a mechanic shop is good or bad , but I will say it feel like they nickeled and dimed me on top of having my car for a week and made me uncomfortable.Now I m having my car towed to a shop that I wish I had waited for in the first place. Learn from my $1,400 mistake.

I used to bring my car here in 2017-2019 and had great experiences. I originally came here because they were AAA certified. I had great experiences, in and out within an hour for oil changes and tire rotations. I came to them recently for a new serpentine belt and some lights on my dash, and a blinker issue. I was able to come in the next day and they had the work done by that evening. I asked them to call with a price estimate of the work and they stayed true to the price which was 100% reasonable. I will continue to come here for my cars and highly recommend this business. I was caught with a dead battery and bad alternator in the middle of Columbus. After getting towed to Shifflet's, not knowing they had a towing service themselves, they promptly did work on my van, replacing both the battery and alternator. After driving it for a day or so, my batter light started coming on again... it seemed that the alternator they had given me was also a bad part. My battery light would not stay on, it would come on for a few seconds and then go off but after getting it to act up, they replaced the alternator again. I have since had no issues with it and it is running great.Services: Electrical, Battery

I have used this shop several times for different things. Had a new transmission put in a truck recently and Shifflet Auto did a great job. Also had a raccoon get in an engine bay and did some damage, they fixed it up in no time. I would recommend them anytime

I had an awesome experience with the shop! I needed help removing the pulley from my old power steering pump, and to have it put onto the new one, and they helped me for a reasonable price! Christopher was great, and Chrissy was hilarious and super helpful! I would 100% recommend this shop if you need work done! Thank you guys so much!!

Charged me almost 500$ to diagnose the problem with my car. Told me that my timing chain was bad and wanted 1600$ to fix it. Took my car back and had to make them return parts that they took off and kept and replace parts that they broke and couldn't even give me a print out of what they had done. Fixed it myself with a 10$ junkyard mass air flow sensor. One of the most common problems. They lied to me and tried to take advantage of me. The are either lier and thiefs... or extremely bad mechanics. Either way is bad... crooks.

Quick and courteous service, they even gave me a ride home and picked me up when my car was fixed. Did not try to upsell or do work that was not needed. I would recommend Shifflet to anyone with car repair needs.

This is the best mechanic I have ever experienced. Kris and Dan are so honest and communicative about the process. Absolute value pricing considering the warranties and peace of mind they offer. This shop stands behind their word and work. They also have a drop off/ pick up service if you don t have transportation available. This is the only place I will have my vehicle worked on from here out.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

I love Shifflet's. All the people there are awesome. And funny. Very kind. And do a great job. I hear other people say they're very expensive. Noo no more expensive than anyone else. Plus they have warranties on everything they do. However, they do an awesome job. Sorry yell if you need work done go to shuffle it's taken care of you there trust me on this.

I'm giving them 5 stars though full disclosure it did take a little less than a week to get my car repaired. The good things about Shifflet though far outweigh the wait time. For one everyone that I interacted with were extremely professional. My wife's car was going to have a fairly complex repair (in my estimation) and they offered to let us take it back for the weekend so we wouldn't be without a car. We left it with them and they finished it up in a couple of days. Secondly, their prices are FAR more fair than a dealership. We took this car to the dealership and they wanted to repair several things to resolve a rattling noise for $600 and that wouldn't have resolved the problem anyway. It turned out Shifflet got it right and we spent less than what the dealer would have charged for fixing the wrong thing. Finally I was happy to see they had some advertising for the local high schools in their office. Talking to them they said they like to invest in the community. Kudos all around.

Great service and communication. We had a serious,sudden issue with our only car. The folks at Shifflet worked to get it resolved in a timely manor and get the car back to us. It runs great now. Don't be afraid to call these folks!

Near 1350 Sullivant Ave, Columbus, OH 43223 a shop right down the street. Way cheaper and they aren't petty they work with you and they let u know ahead of time how much it would be to even look at your car. This place said 500 for a starter. I've gotten a rack & pinion put on my car it only cost 400 part included. I got a steering column put on my car it cost me 200 dollars at a shop in Mansfield. Please tell me how a starter cost 500 dollars. This shop is ridiculously high priced. Literally got my security system reset at the Buick dealership in Mansfield And it was 150. Dealerships usually charge the most don't go here unless you want your pockets cracked

They came highly recommended to me when I had an axel break. They were very professional. Before ordering the parts they told me the full cost of fixing the issue. Once the parts came in (2 days), they fixed my car. The mechanic wasn't happy with how the parts made my car sound even though my car was completely safe and whole again, so he ordered new parts and did the replacement again at no charge. He still didn't like it, so he ordered a different manufacturer and did it again, also at no charge. Again, he didn't like it so he ordered the more expensive Ford parts and did the replacement, also at no charge. Michael Shifflet oversaw the project and took care of me and my car every step of the way. I have never come across a business that put in this much effort and with such amazing customer service! I appreciated being treated like family. I won't be taking my car anywhere else!

Shifflet Auto Care is an excellent family run business that really does things the right way! I've trust Mike and his staff with my vehicle fully from initially meeting him. They are honest, straight forward and overall do great work at reasonable prices. They have awesome flyers with great coupons and they have great oil change customer loyalty program. I highly recommend these guys.

Best overall experience ever. Everyone was so nice and caring to my situation. I had an issue with the warranty company but Mike was able to call on his personal time to get it worked out for me. The pricing was fair and work was very speedy. I will definitely make this my auto home and would recommend anyone to come here. They treat you like family here. I'm actually in the process of changing my last name to "Shifflet" LOL. Thank you guys. God bless.

would like to leave a better review but i can't. I had an issue with my parking light and my local mechanic in London, Ohio recommended this place for electrical work. I had an electric diagnostic test done at this place and they told me it would cost around $600+ (including the test) to fix my parking light and fog light. They said that the wires in the back would need replaced as well as a 4-way Flasher switch. $600 to fix a parking light?!?! Well i took it to another trusted local mechanic and he took apart my front end and told me that my lights weren't even plugged in!!! The connection wires were just laying there unplugged, that someone must have unplugged them and not plugged them back in!! All my mechanic had to do was plug in my lights and they started working!! He only charged me $30!! i paid $123 for an electronic test at Shifflet and they couldn't tell me that my lights weren't plugged in?! Instead they wanted me to pay $600 to fix my parking light and FOG light?! What if i would have paid that?! All they had to do was plug them in.. What if i was stupid enough to pay $600?! I am now telling my local mechanics about what happened so they will no longer recommend this place to customers!! They ripped me off. Period.
