I use Randy's for all my machining exclusively! I've used them for years. Absolutely fantastic quality! Chris - the owner-believes in quality versus quantity, just as I do. Everything I've gotten back has been perfect. Might take some time, if you want it tomorrow forget it. But if you want it right then this is the place!

Chris now owns and runs Randy's shop. I take all of my cross-drilled brake rotors to him. He does a great job machining these rotors that most shops won't touch. Highly recommended!Services: Motor building, Brake service & repairServices: Motor building, Brake service & repair

Chris did an amazing job bring back to life a 28year old BMW head after someone did a "money change" and bent all the exhaust valves.Head was cleaned, checked and ready for a weekend of racing.

Great prices, fast turnaround. I've used Randy's every time I need machine work in the past and I have yet to be disappointed. I will be continuing to use them in the future for machine projects as well.

They are hands down, the best in the business. They have done extensive work on my motor, from a valve job all the way to timing and bottom end work. They are the best in the business and have become a relationship of not just your neighborhood machinist but friends that I will always return to for work. They keep it upfront with you and don t hide anything. They will show you the work they are doing to your parts and are absolutely amazing when it comes to assembly and making the parts you have work. I won t go anywhere else other than here. Chris and Tom are absolutely amazing at what they do and I am excited to have them on my side of the ring whenever I need a motor done. 100% the best I ve ever dealt with.I waited to make a review as I wanted to see the whole experience even with the first break in miles on the motor. if you don't want to lose your money, don't do business with this thief, he told me he was going to fix a cylinder head for $150, then $200 and in the end he wanted to charge me 430, when I asked for my part back he told me I had to pay a fee $150 for a "cleaning" fee avoid this business of this malnourished, he is a tremendous scammer

Great group of guys doing machine work. Taking over from the previous owner they have made the place a good place to have your engine machine work. They helped me the same day with a important job that needed to be done quickly. They did the work on toward the closing of the day also.

The new owner Chris is an amazing person and also very skilled talented machine worker and also very knowledgeable about his car and cars specs. They changed ownership a little while ago, but the place is still great. New owner knows what he is doing and offers great services for good prices. I had my engine block and header blocks, pistons , push rods, crank and cam shaft cleaned there. They polished up the mating surfaces also. I got it back and almost every ounce of carbon and grime was off of the block. All I had to do was wire brush the rust off and give it a paint job. I am likely going to get my piston rings done here as well and cam shaft bearings installed so I can put it all back together. Nice people and they do good work.

Chris did a fantastic job with my 1974 Triumph Spitfire head. New valves and guides, runs better than new now. Going to take my Subaru engine with leaky rings in to him next. Top notch quality and attention to detail. Thank you Chris and team!

Save your money!! I used them to have my sbc cylinder heads machined. They did not machine them to the specs I had originally asked, and left me with a ridge to go home and clean up myself because they did not have the proper cutter to do so. Nice people but they lack the proper tools to do basic cylinder head machine work for performance heads. Charge around 40% more than other reputable machine shops in the area for the same work. They would not even issue me a partial refund for what happened and was told, "I'm not a refund kind of guy", and wanted to charge me double to finish machining the area they were supposed to machine to my asking in the first place once they got the proper tool. Very unsatisfied, they could have made it right by not charging me extra to finish the job properly at the very least! I took my unfinished heads elsewhere after all this.

Called another shop that starts with an F . I talked to the first person and they said that they would check on the availability of another Chevy small block and call me back, no call back.Called near the end of the next day, and the guy was real short with me, and claimed he looked for a whole hour and he had nothing. So I do not understand why he didn t call me and let me know that he spent a whole hour looking for a block for me, And came up empty.Called Randy s shop and they said they should be able to repair a damaged starter bolt hole, maybe. The edge of the outer hole was chipped off. So I took my Block, crankshaft and connecting rods/pistons to them to look at. And thank God I did call them because they said it should be no problem. So save your time, just call Randy s.They were very nice, and showed me around the shop so I can check out their abilities, and they assured me that if my core checks out OK, the block should be just fine when they re done with it.Service: Engine repair

I've had several sets of heads rebuilt here. Have yet to have a problem years later. Couldn't be happier with pricing and service. Randy took me through in detail what he was doing and really cares that you're in the loop about what's going on with the most important parts of your car! Wouldn't send engines anywhere else

Took my Mini Countryman head in for some work and couldn t have been happier with the finished product. The level of service you get from Chris along with the price can t be beat.... worth it all. Randy helped me get some broken bolts out of my Harley intake manifold. This was after the dealer told me they couldn't help. He gave me a great price and great service. I would go back and I would send my friends as well.

Had the heads of my 99 B3000 reworked by Randy. He put in new valve seats and did the works on my heads. They looked brand new when I got them back. He explained in good detail what he did as well. He sure has a passion for machine work and it showes. He knows his stuff! Attention to the smallest detail!

Randys machine shop is a awesome place! It is hard to find Machine shops now and Days. Since Randy has passed I believe Vivian is the one that is running it. Shes doing just as good as Randy. My recommendation, the hours can sometimes be wonky, closed randomly on Fridays, half days on Mondays. If the business isn't there, then I would update the hours and stay open only 4 days a week instead of the maybe 5.

They helped me out when another machine shop did not do the work correctly. They even went out of their way to get it done in a hurry for me. Work was top notch and definitely recommend. Shop is clean and tidy.

Randy knows his stuff, just like others have said. Had him resurface my cluth plate for my SI when the clutch wore out. Great price, great service.

Took my head in in the fall to have the valves replaced along with the stem seals. Installed the head back on and went to start the car and it did not have compression in any of the cylinders. Winter weather was starting to come in so I decided to leave the car like that until spring. Now I've taken the head off again to see what is wrong and valves are not seated properly. Of course it wasn't going to have compression.
