I have had many great experiences at this location and my most recent was no exception. Staff was very good about communicating what was wrong with my vehicle, the price was reasonable given the extent of repairs my vehicle needed (my car is older and has a lot of miles), and they even called me to tell me when the work was complete so that I didn t have to sit there and wait all day. Staff is also helpful in answering my questions since I don t know a lot about repairing cars. Would highly recommend!

Pretty bad experience. Guy at the service counter was a bit dense, but the main problem was the time and the oil change service. It took 20 minutes past my appointment time to get to my vehicle. Once I got my car back, the car wreaked of oil. There was oil smeared on my steering wheel and no protective covering were used on my seats. The intense oil smell lasted another day so I checked under the hood. The oil cap was left off and oil had sloshed on my engine cover and components. No wonder it smelled. Luckily the cap was wedged between my hood and the hood gasket so I could replace it. Pic shows where the oil cap left an imprint on the gasket. I didn t want to touch it again, it was covered in oil. Pretty sure my oil reservoir is considerably overfilled as well.

I visited Pep Boys located at 2830 S Hamilton Rd, Columbus, OH 43232. The manager, Stephen, assisted me with my appointment for a FREE Brake System Evaluation and a FREE Alignment Check. Stephen was very thorough and detailed with my inspection. He made sure I was very understanding of what the issue was with my vehicle; he even broke down the issue by providing me with a visual explanation, which always works best for me in order to process what s going on and to feel reassured that I was not being taken advantage of. Stephen definitely went above and beyond in my opinion, with communicating what was wrong with my vehicle. I would absolutely recommend going to Pep Boys. Stephen didn t charge me anything for the visit, it was quick; they quickly found the issues; they provided me hard cold proof, and they also gave me printouts as well as sent the information to my phone and email. Needless to say, they got me in very quick to do my inspection, whereas other folks I went to was either not as thorough, much more expensive, and/or could not get me in just for an inspection, at least not anytime soon. Thank you, Stephen, and Pep Boys.

Beware of this pep boys especially if you are a female. They will scam tf out of you and take advantage of you. I came into get my brakes checked and before I could even check/ask the price of how much it would be they started changing my brakes and rotors. They told me it would be more expensive because my car is European but never once told me how much it was going to be until the very end. It ended up being around $1500 in total causing me to have to get a credit card which is absolutely insane when you can buy the parts for less than $500 at any auto part shop. This was around March I got my brakes changed and my brakes are already bad so they clearly didn t put true European brakes on my car or they would ve lasted longer than 10,000 miles. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the customer service was great but again that is probably because they were scamming me to make a profit.

My daughter brought her car for some work, and the tire lugs were put back on very tight, I brought the car back and asked if they could help me, the mechanic Dre was very helpful, also the receptionist Amberly was very helpful. They were very professional and kind, I hope they stay with the company a long time. Highly recommended

I only came I into for their free break inspection. The man at the counter told me what the free inspection covers and if I wanted to have it fully Inspected it would be a fee 60.00. I told him just do what the free inspection covers. Shortly he tells me I need my break pads replaced soon. They were getting worn out. Would be over 1,000 to replace the break pads for all 4 tires. I figured the pads would need replaced soon. But ended up charging me the fee anyway. Because they wanted to look more into the inspection, when I didn't want the further inspection, because I didn't want o pay for it. I just had my ac replaced yesterday and the serpentine belt replaced. Talk about doing services that the customer didn't want done. Never go to pep boys.

They just tossed my spare tire, is the words the manager told me. Without asking if I would like my tire back. Torqued my lug nuts to tight. Down played like they did no wrong. 2/10 do not recommend. The Sarcastic manager has bad customer service.

Gave these dudes chance after chance. And they keep messing up a simple oil change. First they didnt screw my oil filter back on. So i had to go back up there so they could tighten it. Then the 2nd oil change they spilled oil all on my drip pan. They did that twice. I still went back after that. Then this time they spilled oil all over my engine. And didnt think i would look underneath my hood. It was even on my wipe blades. They said they would degrease it for me. These jokers used some Windex and paper towels. Then after spilling oil all on my engine and using Windex to try to clean it the tech going to say. I think you have a oil leak. I said or maybe its the oil and the Windex your using that's dripping everywhere. Some real bright technicians i tell you. Never will i ever take my car back there. Done.

I want to thank Pep Boys for their service, my late husband always used Pep Boys and when my vehicle broke down on the side of the road I had it towed to them. They fixed the problem and when there was a recall on my engine they helped me get in contact with the dealers corporate office to try and rectify the problem. Thank you.

The reception at the desk was awesome!Special shout out to AMBER who demonstrated lots of Dedication, Positivity, and Enthusiasm in her interaction with customers.My car was well taken care of.I highly recommend this place and I will definitely return again.

The guys here at the Hamilton rd store are amazing. I m traveling with kids on the 4th of July and my stability light came on in my suburban causing it to not go over 40mph. The guys got me in and took care of the issue asap and got us back on the road .

My first time there, and although I had the wrong tire size they worked around it.I got good tires and pep boys didn't disappoint.I will probably be using they're service again.

So rude. The service department is so bad. Don't waste your time and money here. Guy actually yelled at my daughter. They then proceeded to try and scam her. AVOID AT ALL COST! DO NOT GO HERE.

I was really pleased with how thorough and knowledgeable the staff was, polite and relatable. You may find yourself waiting a little longer than you d like, though you can rest easy knowing that the wait is worth the quality in detail and how thorough the team can be. A waste of time. I ordered 4 tires and scheduled an appointment for 5pm online through the PepBoys website (it showed the schedule completely open). I show up at 4:30 and am told there is absolutely no way I'm getting helped today because there is only one guy. I then ask what about the tires I paid for, I am then told that they cant do much because it isn't through pepboys and they don't even have my tires in stock. Then we find out they do have them in stock, and it was through pepboys, but I still can't be helped. Had to reschedule for next tuesday..Going to have to drive on a donut for another week since I scheduled for Tuesday for a reason.. I had just as many problem last time I used a pepboys..

Friendly crew who are quick and efficient. Amber was great, tech was quick. I had appt at Morse Rd and tech didn't show for the day so I went to Hamilton Rd. later in the week. Cool peeps.

I have not visited this location since 2002 and I still live nearby. There is a reason the parking lot is always empty and has been for years. Worst service you will ever experience just like I did on numerous occasions.1. Wheres a cashier? The register is on but never a cashier to be found. Hey can someone check me out?!2. It has a low morale feeling right when you walk in you can feel it due to poor service.3. Dealt with the garage a few times no Mechanic knew what they were doing. I know this is years ago but reading recent reviews I can see it hasn't gotten any better.4. The prices are higher than most auto parts stores nearby. The west side Pep boys closed over 15 years ago if they continue their ways here at this location it will suffer the same fate like the Captain D's next door.5. I am a hardcore gearhead and love fixing up classic cars and trucks if my vehicle broke down in front of this place I would push it or tow it somewhere else. Go in there if you don't want to take my word for it or save yourself a lot of time and grief and go somewhere else.

Do Not Waste Your Time!!! I had them put 4 new tires on, front end alignment and new air filters because I was driving to Florida 2500 Miles! They left the old air filter sitting in my engine, which blocked my air intake and cause transmission issues! I called them and literally their response thanks for calling. No apology, didn t even offer to take a look and insure it didn t cause damage. Thanks and have a great day is all they said. Horrible customer service and no one is held accountable

After a bad taste from the other store in Columbus, I called these guys! Showed up when they opened and Wow! What a difference these guys are! They Took care of Me! They showed me what was wrong, what had been done and what needed to be done!! My go to PepBoys in Columbus now! Dre and his crew are top notch!

Dre, Jessica, and my service tech B who I actually didnt meet but from the information I got did a very good job at finding the problem with my turbo charger, I appreciate all the help from them and will be bringing my car back in the future!

Had a really great experience.outstanding customer service. Amber was amazing,she made my day.even went as far a putting my energy drink in the fridge,to get it cold for me.highly recommend this Hamilton rd location.

Drove in from NC. With the temperature change, found myself with 4 tires extremely low on air. Thanks to Mack for the great service, I was in and out in minutes. Keep up the great work.
