I'm not kidding when I say that this place is the kind of establishment that makes America great. I was referred by a friend and Dave and all his staff took super care of my old car. The car means a lot to me because I started working on it when I first was diagnosed with cancer many years ago. Overcome with other parts of life, as happens to all of us, my car fell into somewhat disrepair. The staff at Northend Wrench took my car in as if it were their own. It is now restored to a wonderful daily driver to create many more wonderful memories.

I m can guarantee you will not find a better or more honest car repair shop in columbus. Firestone tried to make a bag off us and so we took our car here instead .. come to find out .. Firestone was exaggerating our problems for more money! Who knew!

I knew Northend Wrench was run by some good mechanics when I noticed they regularly have a lot full of classic vehicles. I have never been able to trust a shop before as I feel I m being taken advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge. The guys at Northend, especially the owner Dave, have a lifetime of experience and can explain every detail of what s going on with your vehicle. I came in because I wasn t sure if I should put any more money into my car. After an affordable diagnostic I got bad news, but I know I m getting an honest heads up from an extremely knowledgeable source. I look forward to bringing my next car to Dave.

Truly just honest, kind men who want to help you! I have never had such a great experience at an auto shop before. It started when my car was overheating and I found myself in their parking lot not knowing what to do. They helped me free of charge for a temporary fix so I knew when I needed to take it to a shop, this would be the place! I have returned a couple of times now and time and time again they have great service and fair pricing. You will not be disappointed by any of the staff. Great shop. I have known Dave, the owner, for 20 plus years, even offered to buy the shop from him, that's how good it is. He has managed to build a lovely business with great techs and a real honest and transparent work flow that I completely appreciate. 2023 Edit: I've been recommending this shop for years to people in search of a good mechanic, and though I still would trust Northend Wrench with my car, I'm less certain than before that I would trust them with my wallet. My most recent visit I was overcharged by around 25% over the upper range of what could be reasonably expected for the work on my make/model of car. Surprising to say the least as Northend historically has matched quality work with affordable prices.---------Initial Review:I had a great experience with this shop. They communicated well, got my car in and out faster than could be expected, and charged a very reasonable price for the nature and quality of the work done. I definitely would recommend.Extra info: They have a key drop. Very convenient as my car troubles happened on the weekend. Dropped it off on a Sunday and they found time to diagnose on Monday.

These are good guys; I trust them. They charge a little more for some stuff, but I tried getting an oil change from Valvoline, and they stripped oil plug, which cost me more than the savings. The service (drilling and tapping my oil plug) and oil change at North End Wrench was still only $250, which is what the dealer charges for a regular oil change. I think my money would have been better spent developing a relationship with a mechanic I can trust.

Mark and Dave are great car guys, I am a new customer and have only recently brought my 1973 Mustang to North End Wrench. In short order they have earned my trust.They have taken care of my favorite car ever as if it was their own! It s nice to find a trustworthy shop.Very satisfied.

My first time visiting this auto shop. Now I understand why they are always so busy. I was very pleased with the service at Northend Wrench. They were very helpful, honest, friendly, and fast with the repair. Will definitely be back.

I ve been going to Northend Wrench for about a year now and had several repairs on my car. The service here is impeccable and is always high quality. As a woman in my mid 20s with a hybrid car, I have a hard time finding mechanics that aren t at best patronizing and at worst completely rude to me. I m curious and interested about what goes on with my car, and the guys at Northend Wrench always answer all my questions with kindness and respect. They have a ton of experience and and are extremely knowledgable, and I ve even called them and asked them about what to do and been able to do a small repair myself based on their recommendation. Very quality work with very reasonable prices. These guys are a staple of Clintonville and I recommend them to everyone. They are busy so plan to wait up to 3week-month but it s worth the wait.

I have been taking my cars to Northend Wrench for at least 7 years. The level of honesty, service, and fair pricing over the years keeps me coming back. Even my insurance company loved working with Dave and his staff! When I needed a repair that would be more affordable elsewhere they were the ones who gave me this information, and had no issues with me saving some money. It is this level of integrity that has earned my loyalty and my frequent recommendations to my friends and family for them to try Northend Wrench!

Being a first time customer I was very very impressed with the care and level of professionalism displayed by the shop. My BMW caught fire under the hood and I had to find a shop that had experience working with imports to have it towed to almost immediately. I had spoken with Acceleration on high street whom was booked and recommended North End Wrench as an alternative. When I called, I was put on the tentative schedule and able to have my vehicle towed to the shop but to surprise my vehicle was seen the day after it was towed. I was given a diagnosis and able to make the necessary steps to get my car to MAG in Dublin after discovering the fire was caused by a recall all in less than 3 days. I would highly recommend this facility and I will be going to North End Wrench for most of not all of my future work.

I have had my 911 worked on here and my VW bus. They are always knowledgeable and have great pricing. I do t even ask any longer how much because I know they treat me right. See ya Friday with my 944. Update on my mg gt...after 4 years at other places and 3 mechanics Dave it's it running. Thank you

These guys are great! I ve been taking my 01 s2000 here since I ve had it, and won t go anywhere else. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional service at a great price. Couldn t ask for more. I Wouldn t trust my car at Honda or anywhere else.

I followed Northend Wrench to Indianola from their earlier location on High St. almost 2 decades ago. Their work has always been high quality, and their customer service stellar. Dave and Mark run a shop which has certainly earned its high reputation.

Good people, used to take my car there but I work on it myself as much as possible. My g/f and her parents take their vehicles there and have been nothing but happy. Dave and Sean are good honest hard working people!

I was lied to. Claiming that my car was diagnosed with a bad headgasket, and then tried to tell ME it was going to cost 1750-2250!? All for an $800 job!? They weren't even going to do the work themselves, and then were going to charge me twice what they were charged to OUTSCOURCE THE WORK!!! All the whle knowing that I brought the car there to have a specific employee work on it. They have lost all future business and references from me. Not to mention they took almost a week to tell me this.

For open disclosure, I worked there about 15 years ago, when I was 15 years old to 17 years old, but the fact is that I still go there.The staff is great, Dave (the owner) is a really ethical guy who's always willing to help out. I will keep coming back to this place!

I have patronized the Northend Wrench for many years. They have always given me good value. Any problems with the repair have always been promptly resolved.
