Couldn t find someone to replace my exhaust with an aftermarket (I had purchased). Was recommended Nelson Frame and Axle by another shop.Front pipe needed trimmed to fit smaller wheelbase Tacoma so, I wanted to take it somewhere with proper tools and time. I usually do all my auto work myself but entrusted this to them as I was working out of town. They did a great job and replaced the exhaust in less time than the manufacturer estimates in instructions.. And they charged me accordingly. I ll be back and recommend them to anyone looking for auto work.. aftermarket work being especially hard to find.

Came in looking for a custom alignment on a lifted truck with adjustable upper control arms in the front. Most shops I talked to wouldn t even touch a lifted truck and most of the ones that would seemed a little fishy about working with the upper control arms. These guys knew exactly what I wanted and understood exactly what I was talking about. Even better they aligned the truck to the specs I gave them and called to let me know that the road test wasn t great. I had asked for too much caster and either had to add negative camber to wash out the pull or live with a little bit less caster. We came to an agreement and they dialed it in. Great guys, great communication, great service.

Came to this shop off a recommendation from the shop I trust (L.V. Automotive) to get an alignment, not only was I pleasantly surprised by the price of an alignment for my Ford Focus, but the quality of my steering after it was done. Felt great to steer it again! I refuse to let go of my 2001 Sequoia that has/had a rusted out frame. After a few days at Nelson my frame is welded and I feel safe back on the road again.

We had an ongoing problem with a noise in the brakes/suspension. They listened to our problem, diagnosed it, and fixed it for a good price. Very honest and polite.

I had a bent sway bar and a destroyed tire and rim from an unfortunate meeting with a chunk of cement on I70. These folks fixed it and did it quickly!! I spoke with John who was so kind and very helpful. These guys are legit. I took my truck there for a parking brake problem. They did a diagnosis and told me the brake was just fine and advised me how to use the brake more appropriately. They did not charge me anything. They also don t pretend they can fix everything. They notify you when the problem is beyond their scope. I strongly recommend them.

When I couldn't get my rusted out crossmember on my 2000 Bravada welded. The guys at Nelson's ordered me a non- rusted part from down south and installed it. The part fits great and I considered the price well within reason. I will not hesitate to do business with them in the future..Thanks, Nelson's

Called around to 8 different places for an alignment including a visit to Mercedes dealer and no one had the correct equipment or to align my car due to having wheels that wouldn t accommodate traditional alignment tools as well as the car being lowered. I was referred to Nelson after checking around for weeks and got my car into them. They were able to perform an alignment without problems because of their modern laser alignment rig that doesn t touch the car. The price was less than the dealer and done in a more timely manner than previous experiences elsewhere.

Took tractor in on an afternoon and they order replacement parts within hours. Parts arrived following morning and repairs completed within hours. Picked up tractor less than 24 hours. Honest, professional, reasonable fee and experienced mechanics. I just want to say the first time I went to this place I was sixteen years old and had a 1965 Chevy super sport impala that was shaking so bad I knew something was seriously wrong. I was poor and had no money but wanted to find out what the bad news was going to be. When I went to pick it up and was ready for them to tell me something horrible, I was shocked. They told me that the car is fine and the shaking came from the aluminum fancy wheels that had been put. They replaced them with some regular wheel and wham the car was as smooth as glass. As recall they didn t even charge me for the new old wheels . They continue to be the only place I go to to get my tires balanced, and vehicles aligned.whenever I buy new tires I always bring them over because frankly they re the only ones who do a perfect balance especially on my MotorHome. Right when you walk in the shop you will notice how disorganized the shop is. Broken parts, sockets, new parts all laying in the same pileI took a truck in to have an alignment done and walked away with a bad taste in my mouth. After having the alignment completed, we were told that the "suspension springs were worn out". He commented that the vehicle would continue to wear tires abnormally, offering no solution. I asked to see the alignment numbers of caster/toe/camber but was told that the printer did not work. The mechanic who did the alignment rattled off a few values that he set the alignment too, while digging through a pile of parts for a another vehicle as if we were bothering him. After looking up the factory alignment specifications, he performed the alignment incorrectly. He set the vehicle to 0 toe, which is incorrect. Good luck telling them they did it wrong. As i was asking these questions about what they set the alignment too, the clerk smiled as if I had no clue about vehicle maintenance.Bottom line, run fast & run far. I wouldn't let them align my lawn mower.

While providing a towing service for one of our customers we towed their vehicle for 200 miles from our facilities after it had been involved with an accident. Well as it goes our wrecker had developed some issues on the way to this location for our drop off. Being very busy the owner and shop crew worked feverishly to get my truck back on the road. I was expecting an astronomical bill considering I had no where else to go. They treated me 100% fair and did what they had to do to get me on the road. While also owning a repair facility at our home location its good to know there are still repair facilities who go out of there way to provide a amazing service and not out chasing the buck..... a very experienced staff to handle all your needs use these guys you will not be disappointed.

I am more than impressed with the gentleman I dealt with today. I had been told by a repair show that the frame on my 4Runner was shot and basically a death trap. I told the gentleman at Nelson Frame and Axle that I wanted to fix it if it needed it and he looked it over thoroughly and said that there was nothing wrong with the frame and that it was even in better condition than most he's seen of the same age. Super honest people and I will definitely recommend them and come back to them in the future. A+ all around.

One of the most important part of a mechanic shop is the ability to be honest with the customers. Being able to be transparent with them and tell them exactly what is going on with the vehicle. Well, this shop has exactly that. I went to this shop for a second opinion and they told me a very different story from the first estimate I received. HONESTY, PROFESIONAL, AND QUALITY. Brought in my 2001 Honda Passport for a Frame swap in September.I had just purchased it for a bumper-to-bumper restoration, knowing that it had significant frame rust issues.I had heard about Nelson's, but hadn't experienced it firsthand.Mark and John (both old-school, stand-up guys) advised me to find a good used frame instead of repairing the old one. WISE move! They're genuinely interested in their customers AS PEOPLE and aren't satisfied with just doing a good job - they strive for QUALITY and execute with EXCELLENCE. Their shop is fully equipped and their techs are courteous, funny, and SMART.Once I found a good frame, Don did the work - a COMPLEX job of separating the body from the old frame and transferring the engine, transmission and other parts to the new frame and reattaching the body. Just like Mark and John, Don LISTENED to me and answered ALL of my questions.When Thom (another experienced tech) stepped in to help, I got the chance to see how they work together as a TEAM. They're curious and creative and LOVE what they do. Whenever a problem arose, they solved it with knowledge and SKILL.After the job was completed and I left their shop, I knew for CERTAIN that I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR.It's October now and I'm really enjoying driving my fully restored Passport (my first 4x4). Thanks to the guys at Nelson's, it'll NEVER have a frame issue again.From my experience, if you want it done cheap, go somewhere else. I called to do three exle alignment, they told me if you come today we can do it. I couldn t make it, showed up next day and the guy was furious and abusive, he told which day of next week do you want, I replied none thanks and left. First time ever using this shop. Very impressed, they where very friendly, honest and seemed to really care about helping their costumers out. Honesty would be the best word to describe the work they do. They don't try to up sell you on things you don't need. I took my truck in for an alignment and when they found the break line was broken they fixed it before I got there and was reasonable on the cost for the additional work.
