I was recommended McCombe by a friend after my dad backed into my passenger driver side door of my Mazda CX-5 with his after market solid steel bumper on his Tundra. I got 3 quotes and McCombe was my last stop. Honestly the first 3 places I went seemed so eager to take photos, send me on my way, and then email MASSIVE $$$ quotes with little to no explanation where the money was going? At least not to someone who doesn't speak car and never had to have a repair of this nature done. Now this was my dad who hit me, so I didn't want to just go with the most expensive thing cause it was an option.So that was my initial experience with 3 very popular body shops in Columbus. When I went to McCombe it was totally different. I had an appointment for an estimate. They went outside with me to my car. Went over the damage, walked me through all they planned to do and why. And what would be painted, replaced, reused etc. They were there to answer questions, and even let me know if my Dad had questions to give them call. Super friendly, seemed to really want me to understand the scope of work and I instantly was more at ease here than the other 3 places I went to.When I got the quote, and my dad's insurance okayed it, I scheduled a drop off date. And they really worked with me because I ended up needing to drop the car off 4 days early due to me leaving the country for 9 days. The repair got done almost entirely while I was gone. It was ready on time. And honestly despite my fears that side of my car would always look different than the rest, it was SEEMLESS. You would never know my whole door was replaced. Everything looks good, and works as should. And the process was so simple. Also I felt good about the work that was done, and their whole staff was always friendly and willing to help when I had questions. Would recommend them to anyone. Very small business / family owned vibes and the work was still top notch. I hope to never need a body shop again, but if I do, I would 100% bring my car here again.Thanks so much!! A fantastic experience. A friend of mine owned a Kia when all the thefts were happening these past couple years and had to go to McCombe Body shop several times. She always ranted about how great everything was when dealing with them. I was rear ended, and needed to take my car somewhere, so I decided to give them a shot. So glad I did. Justin was especially helpful to me during the whole process. I never had to deal with adjusters and insurance companies (thankfully) before. Justin noticed several things on the adjusters evaluation that did not make sense. I contacted the other drivers insurance company and they agreed with Justin's assessment. The company sent me a check for what I had to pay out of pocket. He also kept me informed with updates during the repairs and the timing of when I would get my vehicle back was spot on. Obviously when things like this happen it is not fun for anyone but dealing with Justin and McCombe body shop was such a refreshing experience considering customer service over the past 3 years. Great job and will recommend this place to all my friends in the future.

I was involved in a minor accident and found the best! Just take a look folks at the before and after. Wasn't crazy about the time it took to repair but it was worth the time and the price of the total repair cost. Saved me $2,500+ Joe Shepard, thank you for your professionalism and understanding my needs. Very satisfied. Front end on my Ram 3500 smashed in. They had to replace the frame as well, so a lot of work went into my truck. Had a few issues afterwards, but ok with that. Truck ran and handled well pulling my 40ft Toy-hauler to Utah. Would recommend and will take anything I need repaired to them. Jerry C

I hit a deer back in June, and it restricted access under my hood. McCombe was the only reputable body shop I could find that would take my car right away. The car looked great when it was returned to me, and it had been cleaned up, and ran fantastically. The only complaint I have was communication. I had to call in order to get an update.

This place is perfect. Bring your car here. My insurance company (USAA) recommended McCombe for a door and body repair job. The service and overall experience was top notch. Our new car had the bumper hit and crushed in while parked. Insurance sent us to Dennis Hyundai. We tried for a month to schedule our car repair but they never answered or returned any phone calls. Our neighborhood Facebook group recommended McCombe and I'm glad they did. Grey was an excellent representative, he gave me an estimate quickly and scheduled my repair quickly. It took them 3 days to get my car back to me. I would definitely recommend coming here.Service: Body & Trim

Great shop!! They got a lot of work done in a relatively short time. My truck looked better than when I bought it. They kept in informed and even showed me some of the labor as they were working on it and informed me of some options in repairs. I will definitely do business with them again in the future. Really nice and friendly office and environment. Got a good vibration when I walked in .did it very good job ,worked with my insurance. They were so professional and friendly. My van is sentimental to me and unfortunately it is not going home with me, but Kris was super-sympathetic, efficient and helpful. Everything was handled here including the rental and I was done within an hour. I've never had such great service. I will be a lifetime customer!

McCombe has fixed our cars on three occasions. Oddly enough two of those times our cars were dented across the street in the Kroger's parking lot while we were inside getting groceries, but that's another review for another time. Basically McCombe's does a great job, has always been professional, and is our place for body repairs on our cars.Service: Body & Trim

This is the 3rd time I've used this body shop. They do excellent work. Some shops when you get your vehicle back you can see where they painted when the sun hits it. You will never see that with this company. They take pride in there work. This is where you want to bring your vehicle. Thanks to all the Macombe staff for your caring and hard work.

I needed to replace the fuel door on my Hummer H3 after someone destroyed the original one. I ordered one on line and took it to several places to have it replaced. McCombe s was one place that turned me away, said they were too busy only because they knew that they wouldn t make enough money on such a little job, they couldn t rip me off because it wasn t an insurance claim. SHAME ON YOU . I took it to Malcome s and he took care of it in less than 20 min.

The beauty of my experience is that I KNOW my vehicle was damaged and I KNOW it was fixed at McCombe body shop however I cannot tell that anything was ever wrong! Although I'm $500 lighter lol I'm very pleased with the work

Needed body work done from an accident and picked McCombe based on other reviews - I'm so glad I did! They were responsive, courteous, and in the end my car looks amazing. They were so easy to work with and they completed the job in the timeframe they quoted. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company (USAA) and I was updated throughout the process. The people at this shop are extremely TALENTED! My car was in the shop for over a month and every second was worth it because my car looks brand new again! I was updated throughout the process with the next steps and estimated completion dates. The day it was complete the front desk lady stayed past closing time to allow me to pick up my car. That was so sweet of her! I m happy I found this shop they get a 10/10 from me I highly recommend! My car was shining looking so GOOD inside and out when I picked her up. Our Hyundai Sonata was stolen ): The steering column was busted, headlight broken, scratches, dents, interior soiled. Took the vehicle to McCombes and because of a shortage with parts and many vehicles being stolen they let us know up front that it would be at least 30 days which wasn t a problem because my insurance company took care of us with the rental car. Joe in the service department at McCombes was very easy to work with , kept us updated on the repairs and worked with our insurance to repair and not total the vehicle. We were so glad that we didn t have to purchase another vehicle. So glad to have our car back in working condition. Two thumbs up!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim

Overall I had great experience getting my car fixed through insurance. I even switched the claim from my own insurance to the fault party's insurance due to some unexpected issues. Chris made the process a lot easier than I expected! Even I made 4 trips from Cincinnati, it was totally worth it. They addressed all my concerns including slightly unmatched paint. My car looks nice and drives great. They care and have the capabilities to do the job! I feel so lucky to get the work done at McComb.

These guys run a good business. I had a small dent by the front wheel well impinging on my driver's side door. They were really transparent about options and pricing, which I appreciate. I was in and out super fast.

After getting an extremely high wheel-bearing estimate from my dealer where I purchased my SUV, I called McCombe to get the same estimate done and was thrilled when they not only could provide it at half the cost but also was able to offer a full tire replacement, alignment, rotation, and inspect other wheel-bearings for close to what I would have paid for just the repair with the dealer. Tammy was especially amazing to work with and was able to communicate with me throughout the process, send me pictures of the repair, and was so generous along the way. I highly recommend this local company for any auto body services.
