Took my Mercedes in for a brake repair. Customer service was great. They called with a quote and had the brakes completed within 3 hours. They went above and beyond and reset an error message on my car. Fast, affordable and quality work.

Brought in a BMW that is starting to get up there in miles. Asked for recommendations on work that would need to be done to keep the car running as a daily driver. Really appreciate the thorough review and recommendations for only work that was needed and not any unnecessary work/expense. Also appreciate the quick turn around to avoid keeping the car over the weekend. Great guys working here.

I was alarmed on a Wednesday evening when my son told me the EPC warning light illuminated on his 2016 Audi A3 and the car started vibrating. I found German Autowerks via Google and called them the next morning. They got me in that morning. Within an hour or so they had diagnosed the problem (bad spark plugs and ignition coils), and by 12:06 PM the car was fixed at a price in-line with the estimate, and I m sure we ll below what I would have paid at an Audi dealership. Chris was friendly on the phone and in-person, and he explained things clearly in terms that a layperson like me could understand. I will be bringing my son s Audi and my daughter s VW here for service from now on. If you own a German car in Columbus and need service, you really should check these folks out.

First time taking my GTI to German Autowerks. Between the amazing customer service and quality work, super happy to have an alternative from a dealership for service. Chris took great care of me from initial phone call to handing me my key.

Yeah I just want to help my daughter this morning to sell her VW beetle that was boughten from this car lot. It was actually turned into Herbie Love bug.I wasn't able to help her and guide her when she chose the vehicle. The gentleman how to set how great the vehicle was how much she's going to enjoy it yet he forgot to tell her that it's a rebuilt salvage. On top of that he was sold it to her I had a way above price if you ask me so they made quite a bit of money off my daughter but we're reaping the repercussions now because we're trying to trade it in and nobodyI would highly recommend that you check their vehicles out their sales went out owners whatever before you purchase a vehicle

I have an Eos and Jetta the German Autowerks has serviced both vehicles. I find them easy to work with and they do a good job inspecting and providing quality repairs. When I need to replace a vehicle I hope to buy one off of their lot.

Had a common motor mount issue with my S7 and decided to take it to German Autowerks. The car has only ever had service work done at the dealership and nowhere else. I'm glad I did. Chris and his team knew exactly what the issue was and took great care of me and the car. I'll be coming here from now on. If you own a German car and need anything done to it or need diagnostics ran on it to find the issue, then this is the place for you.

At first the experience with German Autowerks was great then I had an issue with them not finishing the job before sending me home with my car. They had my car for a week before they stated the car was ready for pick up which it turns out it was not. I picked up my car on Friday and noticed all the issues Saturday morning when i turned on my windshield wipers and a piece of plastic flew out, part of my shroud. After popping the hood it was easy to notice a lot of work was left undone or done very poorly. They lost my battery cover. They broke the shroud for my air box and didn't even attempt to reattach. They left air sensor unplugged. They left a piece of the air box under the windshield wiper. The didn't reinstall the clamp on the MAP sensor correctly. They also didn't bleed the brakes properly after installing a new brake booster. I needed my vehicle so I finished the work that I paid German Autowerks to do. The Monday following was the first day they were open for business and I contacted Terry, one of the owners, to discuss this issue. He requested that I bring the car back and they would fix the issues. I told them that i had to fix the issues myself as I needed my car and they were closed on the weekend, not to mention they had my car for a week and couldn't complete the work correctly. I asked for a partial refund since I had to finish the work that I paid them for and to cover the cost of damaged and missing parts. At that point German Autowerks became very unprofessional. I will not do business with this company again due to the inability to complete the work they were paid for and the lack of customer service when they made a mistake.

These guys saved me! Basically 24 hours before I was supposed to go on a trip my water pump starts leaking everywhere only a year and change after I had it replaced. He said it would be around $1,100 + tax and it came out to be just over $1,300 after tax. They are also super responsive! Clean garage too that says a lot!

A diamond in the rough- rare to find a group of people that go above and beyond for their customers but this is hands down the best auto service company I have ever dealt with. We live over an hour away, and the staff stayed late the last day of buisness before Xmas so we could check out an amazingly well priced used VW Beetle for our daughter. They were friendly, knowledable, honest and straight forward about their cars for sale and we bought here after looking at multiple dealerships previously. The people here make the difference, and you would be hard pressed to find any company with a better group than German Autowerks. We had a question about a month after our purchase and stopped by the shop and everyone was exactly as helpful as when we made a purchase. They genuinely care about their customers and their jobs and it shines throughout the shop from the mechanics that came outside to demo the answer to our question, and to the friendly front desk people that greet you with a smile. Bob remembered our purchase and asked if our daughter was surprised...she was there this trip and got the chance to tell him herself that it was "the best Xmas ever and she LOVES her VW Beetle" Thank you to all at German Autowerks- We will make the hour+ drive for any service needs in the future because that is how highly we value the staff and service we received - you can trust German Autowerks cares

Dont go here to fix your car. They charged me $320 to put on a stripped spark plug and they didnt even do it right the The ring still comes out when replacing the spark plug. They said that it was $90 for an hour of serves. I didnt have a problem, except when they told me it took a professional mechanic 2 hours to replace one stripped spark plug whole with a kit that is meant to be used by anyone. Then they said they replaced a hose for $15 and the hose was not even 6in long. you can get a 9ft from autozone for $9. They said they let me go easy because they put 2 gallon of gas because i didnt have gas and at the time gas was $2.15 a gallon.

I needed a few things done to my Rabbit, one of which was new headlight assemblies. The pricing was fair and the service was quick. When one of them ended up being defective from the manufacturer, they were incredibly accommodating in working with my schedule to get it swapped out with a new one ASAP before a trip out of state. They didn't give me any trouble about it at all, and stood by their warranty. Just like the first time I brought my car here, they went above and beyond to make sure things were done right. I really appreciate these guys and I know I can trust them with my Rabbit. Jeff, Chris, and everyone else, THANK YOU!!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Side view mirror repair, Oil change

Oddly my expertise and experience helped here.... not at all. I went here solely because parts were 700 and paying 300 hundred to get it done was worth it. Charged the 150 fee to do inspection didnt remove that cost,. then charged full price after....shady?? Didn't know. Then a friend she is a single mom of 3. She wanted her transmission fluid changed and oil,, and a reverse light bulb. She came to me with almost 6k in REPAIRS. Repairs to what? She listed all the things, control arms, bearings....a list to be sure. She was mortified. To learn this. So I took it to a Quick Oil change place where I am a regular. I explained. He went under the car, checked wobble, travel, visual.....he comes up to me and says....."well, ya got a little bit of rust on your oil pan" Have a good day!! Thank you.!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Yeah I know not the present you tried to steal from her....PS. I got my car back w new issues from this shop. Oddly after my friend went. I'm good. Take care.Service: A/C installation & repair

This shop is a pure rip off, very untrustworthy and everything they did on my Audi never worked. Had it in his shop several times and never fixed the problems and continued to ask for more money. I give this shop a half star and would not recommend it to my worse enemy.Service: Auto maintenanceService: Auto maintenance

How do you say "I don't want your business" without saying "I don't want your business?" I was looking for a new service center for my VW Golf and asked these guys for a quote for an oil change. They quoted me $140 for an oil change. The photo was taken *elsewhere* the same week.

German Autowerks is awesome! Let me elaborate. I just bought a used 2013 BMW 328i xdrive a couple of months ago. In great condition, super low miles, and one month later, the transfer case goes bad. I took my car to be diagnosed and get a repair quote at local BMW dealership and was given a breakdown of all the parts that needed to be replaced and final cost for parts and labor. It was an astronomical amount. I decided to get a second opinion but had a pretty difficult time finding anyone willing to replace the notorious transfer case. I found German Autowerks through a Google search and immediately Terry was super kind and knew the problems people have with transfer cases going bad. He told me they could absolutely fix it and to just bring my car on in. I forwarded the quote the BMW dealer gave me to Terry and upon inspecting my car, they found that my car did NOT in fact even need all of the parts replaced that I was told by the dealership. German Autowerks was able to fix my car quickly and for less than 1/3 of what the dealer was going to charge. Terry took the time to explain what they did, inspected, and the test drive upon completion of the work. He also reassured me that my car is in great shape aside from the transfer case having gone bad. I can't say enough good things about the service they provided and they have definitely gained a long term customer in me.

German Autowerks is always the first place I think of when I need any repairs done to my car. Their customer service is great and they will communicate with you throughout every step of the process. They were able to replace a bad wheel bearing and all four brake pads on my A4 in no time! I highly recommend them and will do business with them in the future!Service: General repairs & maintenance
