Took my rear end for a rebuild and bearings dropped it off and after nearly 2 weeks they said it was ready ($878) i picked it up and took it home and put it in the truck went for a test drive and it locked up in less than 3 miles, called them up and told them it locked up and I was told they didn t put oil in it and that they put a pink paper tag on the rear end that said no oil, I looked at my DVR footage and the pink tag was there for a few minutes on the drive home but it blew off. They didn t say anything to me about what the pink tag meant or that there was no oil, I take it back and they say they can t fix it on their dime since I should have read the pink tag and my invoice didn t charge me for gear oil. They charged me another $250 for parts and did the labor for free I pick it up again after almost 2 more weeks I get it home and look at it and the wheel stud is bent and the differential cover is missing a bolt I call them again and Jimmy tells me that they dropped it off the bench and he forgot to put a stud in it and asked me to bring it back and said they lost a bolt that s why it was missing one they come across as nice and willing to help at first but it s been a nightmare I will never take anything back there STAY AWAY!!

Jimmy rebuilt my truck rear-end that had exploded. They were super busy but fit me in. Told me 2 weeks. A week went by and I got a call telling me to come pick it up. And it was $30 cheaper than the estimate. Great service, good communication. A+++

Babbitt has been our trusted, go to mechanic for years. You can t beat the quality of service or the level of expertise. Not pushy with service sales, always honest and straightforward with what needs repaired. My wife and I refer everyone to them. Family ran and Columbus local, true definition of integrity.

Heard great things about this place. Took my Truck in for a new differential. The differential was great. However, both of my rear axles bolts were finger tight and loose. My differential drain plug was lose causing a leak. Not to mention they REUSED my U-joint Straps twice, and didn t apply locktite to it. For the money spent I expected better service.

Great people. My GTO was making all sorts of noise in the differential. It took them about a week and a half to get the parts (1 year only vehicle) but when they discovered that I was going to be getting a rental while this one was being worked on, they moved things around so that the work on mine would be completed in one day. I'm very happy with the results. Great people to work with. I highly recommend them.

Have yet to bring my car/parts there yet, will be in a few hours, was compelled to leave a review because of their excellent customer service so far. I ve spoken with them over the phone and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I attempted to save some time by bringing the parts needed to be worked on off the car. I ran into a snag and the shop is willing to work me in before the holiday so I can make my holiday travel plans! Thanks!

Highly recommend Babbitt Bearing. Had a problem with my differential fluid and plug. Two other auto shops took a look at it and said they could not do it. One recommended Babbitt. I was able to get an appointment on short notice, and Gary and Brian's experience and expertise made easy work of it, and the charge was very reasonable.

I was referred here from Tuffy of Pickerington from another man that referred me to Tuffy from JEGS. I will leave this as short and sweet as I can. But Jimmy and his crew and his lady are fantastic. I ended up in a time crunch due to all of the referencing. I drop my truck off Friday evening (3/24). Tuesday (3/28) I got a call on what was needed. Wednesday (3/29), it was fully repaired; carrier bearing, axle, axle bearing. He delivered the truck under budget and better than its ever been in my ownership. This is a place I will visit often. If you EVER need rear end related work, stop here first and you wont have to stop anywhere else.

Finding a good, honest, and affordable shop for car repairs is not easy. When my 2009 Explorer needed Front Differential bearings, I was told to call Babbitt Bearing. This shop is 90 miles from my home, so I wondered if it would be worth the hassle. Well, it was.Gary is one of the nicest guys you'll ever talk to. He is very knowledgeable, fair, and most importantly, honest. The lady I talked to one the phone (don't remember her name) is also extremely nice. They respond quickly to questions and status updates.Since I live so far away, this repair required me to rent a vehicle for six days which added expense to the total repair cost. If I need bearings fixed again, I would certainly repeat this process again. Great shop; great people. And, my Explorer (190,000 miles on it) drives and sounds like new. Thanks Gary!

Happy to have found Gary and Babbitt Bearing. Had issues with a E350 econoline van with the Quigley 4x4 conversion. It had the death wobble and couldn't get it over 50mph without fear of it shaking right off the road.. Most places wouldn't even look at it as it isn't your typical everyday 4x4 truck. And those who did look at it had no idea what the issue was. Eventually found Babbitt and took it in for evaluation. Gary and crew pulled it apart. He discovered the issues and took the time to show me exactly what was going and and how it failed. Then after work was completed he again took the time to show me the parts he replaced and why. I was shocked at the price as I braced myself for double of what it actually was. The van now drives like it's brand new...had it over 80mph and not a single vibration.I have already shared the contact info of Babbitt to some of my wrench buddies so they know who to call when they can't figure it out.Highly recommend!

The best place to reach out for the axle and 4x4 work. They are the best. Gary is a great axle doctor here :). Affordable prices. They don't surprise you like few other reputed 4x4 shops in Columbus.

I heard nothing but great things about this place which explains why they've been in business for so long. I waited to bring my truck in to have them work on it versus take it somewhere else. This is probably the first honest place I've done business with in regards to car repairs ever. They quoted me over triple of what they actually charged and I was braced to pay possibly even a little bit more depending on what the issues were because we didn't know exactly what the problem was when the truck was done I got a call and they told me what was wrong and they didn't have to do half the work or replace half the parts they had assumed and my issue was fixed and my bill was very little. Hands down best experience with a car related shop.

My son's 2000 Chevy Silverado rear end blew up. A friend recommended A-Team transmission. A-Team took 4 days to give us an estimate which was $2,000 to replace the rear axle with a used axle instead of rebuilding it. I called Gary and he said I can rebuild it for less. So we took the truck to Gary. He was very busy but managed to rebuild the rear end with all new parts in 2 days for just over $1,000. We saved money and Gary saved my son's job cause he uses his truck for his job. I should have used Babbit Bearing from the beginning. I will always use Gary and highly recommend him.

The gentleman was so very nice and professional. We needed a wheel bearing pressed out and a new one pressed in. Upon walking in we instantly recognized that this man has a passion for what he does. He had it done in no time and did a wonderful job.
