My experience with AAMCO! They were professional, friendly and honest. The engine light came on my vehicle so I started looking for a shop to have a diagnostic check. There s no charge for diagnostic check there that saved me lots of money. They repaired the Knock Sensor Harness/ Manifold Gasket. They did a great job! Thank you Jay for replacing another part that you didn t charge me for. I recommend using them as your auto repair shop.Thanks so much Jay and staff for a great experience!

Was having trouble with my car.wasn t sure if it was the transmission.Jay and his team looked it over and called me to let me know it wasn t my transmission, but wiring that had gone bad to my transmission . They fixed it and my car is working great.? Would HIGHLY recommend them. And will definitely go to them again.

Jay is very helpful, understanding, and very knowledgeable! Definitely recommend this Aamco location for service. Him and his crew get the job done above the standard than most places do in my opinion. Look forward and trust to have my vehicles serviced here in the future especially with transmission issues!!

These dudes will use an impact drill on your drain plug to your oil tank to try and strip your bolt. They will also charge you $1,800 and not even fix the problem when they say they did. They are armatures at best.

Jay worked on my 1995 Chevy 3500 dump truck. He knew what clutch issues I was experiencing and how to fix it. Not many places would even talk about repairing this age truck. Great price on a new transmission, front wheel bearings and tie rods. We saved over $2,000 on the the total job versus what the dealership wanted to charge us. J worked diligently to make sure the warranty company gave us everything we were supposed to receive.Would absolutely recommend this place!

We are recent transplants from Los Angeles, and when we needed transmission repairs, we panicked! Fortunately AAMCO is always reliable, and Jay at Cleveland Ave AAMCO is exactly what we have come to expect from a reputable company like this. He was patient, courteous, and kind. Calling these guys professional would be a far stretch. If you re looking to fix problems with your transmission, I would say that this may be a good place to go. For anything else though, I wouldn t trust them. They can t even seem to do an oil change properly. For anything else besides your transmission issues, I d go to Van Dynes right down the road from them.

Worst experience ever and still trying to fight it. Corporate won t even get back with us. We had a transmission rebuilt last year. There has been a shutter to it and now they re trying to say that we did modifications to the truck and now they won t fix. First they argued that we put a lift kit and big tires on it. Proved we bought it like that and brought it to them like that now they re informing us that there s no cadiliyic converter on it. Which we ve never had any work at all done on this truck besides brakes. So they did this work like this and now refusing to do the warranty work. I would not recommend coming here for any work because they re trying to screw us out of our over $5,000 transmission. All bad business. Corporate still has yet to contact me. I ve emailed, called, left voicemails and nothing.

Jay is awesome!! Their service is awesome!!I had to replace my transmission in my srx & they did it very fast & she's running better than ever before. When he first told me that i had to replace the transmission i cried. I knew just because it was a Cadillac that I'd be paying a good bit. But Jay calmed me down & talked me threw it.

Mr. Jay was super nice and helpful and got my car done fast. I didn t even live in Ohio and was stranded trying to get back home and he took my car in one day and by the next day it was done. I have a 20 year old Isuzu. Called in the morning and they were able to look at it that afternoon and diagnose the problem. Pricing was fair and they kept me in the loop with the progress of repairs. We stopped in Columbus on our trip west when our transmission started coding. When looking up a place to get the problem diagnosed, we found Jay. He was honest and genuinely cared and took great care of us so that we could get on our way as quick as possible. Jay, we can t thank you enough for getting us back on the road to reach our destination and save our trip! You and your crew are the best!

Would Recommend 10/10! I brought Jay an old Jeep Wagoneer with a broken transmission. They did a full rebuild and I went home. A few months later an issue with the Trans came up. Called Jay, he explained the warranty and took care of me. It was a tough issue that required a few return trips to get fully ironed out, but Jay was courteous, honest and a real joy to work with. Nobody likes car troubles, but Jay and his professionalism made the process a far easier one to navigate. Honestly cannot recommend his services enough. As a person who likes to work on things themselves, finding a professional who cares like I do was refreshing. Give Jay & AAMCO a chance. Once more....5-stars, 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Jay is the greatest mechanic of all!! Ladies if you need your car fixed come here Jay will not try and take advantage of you at all. I found someone I can trust. The first time I came to this shop he figured out what was wrong with my car when others couldn t. The second time I thought I had to get major repair (axle) but Jay said I just needed a bolt tightened and he didn t even charge me. What I thought would cost me thousands didn t cost anything. he is honest and great at what he does. Thank you Jay!!!!

This shop is a hidden gem! They do excellent work!!When my neice from out of town had to get her transmission fixed and get back on the road they took care of her in no time!!Then my van had the transmission go bad, clear out of the blue... Jay and his crew worked with the extended warranty company and got me a brand new one!! I never had to make not one single call or wait on hold. Thanks to him I basically have a brand new van!!They will let you know everything up front with no surprises and will make sure you are completely satisfied . I would give 10 if I could.

The transmission went out on my old VW Beetle. I went to Noebull and they charged me $150 to tell me that the parts weren t available and to sell the car for scrap. I went to the A Team next and they said they could do it and they carried a 12 month warranty with 12k miles. I took the estimate to Aamco and Jay said he could do it for less with an 18 month warranty and 18k miles. My only complaint is that it took a few weeks because the shop is so busy but my car drives like new and I couldn t be happier. Thanks!Service: Transmission

My check engine light was on and Jay was open and honest with what needed to be done. We came up with an action plan and my car repairs were completed 2 days earlier than predicted. Do not use this business. I gave them multiple opportunities to fix the issue and they didn t. They rebuilt the transmission in my 2015 Chevy Silverado last January 2022. Six months later I started having the same issues with the transmission. I took it straight to them and they did fix the issue for free. However six months later I took my truck back to them at that point they said it was out of warranty and my cost was going to be $1200 after spending north of $3000 to have it rebuilt. I don t know what company only gives a 1 year 15,000 mile warranty on a rebuilt transmission. I would highly recommend going somewhere else as this business doesn t stand behind their work.UPDATE .I sent an email to the shop manager like he requested a week ago and I still haven t heard anything from them.Service: Transmission

I needed a clutch replacement for my older Ford F-150 with high miles.Got what I asked for and got a job done well at a very fair price without up selling things I don't need right away. Honesty goes a long way in the auto repair industry !!!

Jay was professional and caring. My transmission died and I was 2 hours from home. They got me running and stayed later when I came to pick my van up. I feel blessed and appreciate that a Christian owns and runs such an understanding and quality establishment.

I've been coming to Jay's shop for a few years and I've never had a bad experience. They have always been prompt and HONEST. Being able to speak directly to the owner is a big plus. They diagnosed my car the same day I dropped it off told me it needed a new transmission and gave me straight forward pricing and timelines. Jay answered his phone on the weekend and was great helping through out the time my car was there.
