I try not to leave negative reviews of businesses, but this place is just awful. I've been in quite a few sketchy hotels over the years but this is the worse. We were in room 112. The beds are awful. If you spent 30 years in prison sleeping on a slab, then you might feel right at home. The beds are so bad, that we are cutting our trip a day short so we don't have to sleep in them another night. The bathroom door will not shut without slamming it, because it hits the frame. My 11 year old daughter couldn't shut it. Opening it is fun too. You have to beat your body off of it a few times like you are breaking it open. I am a 260lb male and it was still an issue for me. There is a generous amount of black mold in the shower and on the curtain. The shower head sprays random streams all over the place. The room didn't really feel dirty to me, just dated. The TV sucks if that is important to you. The quality was bad and there are like 20 channels and none are for kids. Ac works great. It will straight up freeze you. The water view is of part of the harbor with a dock and boats right there. It was very peaceful for the most part outside. There are a few tables with umbrellas. The bar next door had live music and the weather was awesome, so sitting outside in the evening was great. No mosquitoes at all. I don't know if that is normal, but where I'm from, you need a blood transfusion after an hour from mosquitoes. The beach is very close and an easy walk there. So that is nice. If they would get better beds, and work on the bathrooms, might be a decent place to stay. Otherwise, I'd advise spending more for someplace better.Rooms: Worse beds you will ever attempt to sleep on. Plenty of mold in bathroom.Nearby activities: Beach is very close, which is nice. Bar next door if thar is your thing.

The room was nice, very clean, and quaint (others say dated), the guy working was very nice. We were able to watch a band playing on the water next door from the room that night, which was fun. My kid loved watching boats headed out in the morning. But, you are definitely paying for the location right in town, as there is no real breakfast or anything else that you would expect at $200/night.

Other than the location there isn't much good I can say. Hands down the filthiest place we have ever stayed. Our feet were absolutely black after spending just a few hours in the room. Everything is outdated and dirty. To add to our inconvenience there was only one workable outlet in the room that wasn't already being used by the tv and stuff and there is a wall that is literally 12 inches in front of the toilet! DO NOT stay here unless you like living in filth. Who knows what kind of bugs we brought home with us?!

+ easy check in+ helpful staff+ clean roomsYou get exactly what you re paying for. Just a place to sleep. They have a booklet of things to do in the area which is nice. Beds are comfortable enough. Nice smart TV in the rooms.

Stayed here over halloween last year. We were going to put in bay for a few days, and wanted to stay in Port Clinton the night before to attend a party at Mr.Eds. It was very fun! We were even able to take a shuttle to/from the party back to the hotel (which was very cheap and convenient) so nobody had to drink and drive! The room was right on the water, with a view of the YAT club. It was very nice and cozy for us!

BEWARE! BED BUGS!I was passing through town and booked a room for one night at this Inn. The check-in process was smooth (in and out within 5 minutes) and the employee was very welcoming. The room and bathroom seemed fairly clean, but the mattress was not very comfortable. It felt like an old spring mattress form the 70 s, but it was suitable for one night.72 hours after my stay, bite marks appeared on my arm, as well as the rest of my body. Sure enough, BED BUGS!!!!!!!!! I called the front desk to notify them and the person that took my call was very dismissive and not apologetic. She said thank you, I ll look into it and then hung up the phone. This is my first experience with Bed Bugs and hopefully my last! If you come into contact with them, they will get into your luggage and spread to your car and your home! I now need to hire an exterminator to disinfect my car and house.

First of all, I m not sure how there are so many good reviews on this place. When we first arrived I couldn t even get into a parking spot because they were so extremely small. The room was very small which was fine but it was also dirty. Cob webs above the curtains, multiple hairs in the bathroom, the lights above the bed were going in and out, the bed was the worst bed I have EVER slept on! There was a gap under the door where bugs could get in...it was just terrible. It is close to the dock and a couple of restaurants but I wouldn t stay again. The amount of money they charge for this place is insane to me.

Booked this for a weekend trip on a whim. The price was right and the hotel is near all the big attractions. A ten minute drive gets you to the Ohio coastal highway and Marblehead lighthouse. Our room was small, yet felt so cozy and perfect. Large flat screen TV, mini fridge, that s really all you ever need. The pictures are a view from the large window in the waterfront room. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the place felt great. On top of that, the area was safe and cars are required to place a tag on the rear view mirror so anyone that s not supposed to be in the parking lot isn t there.Overall, we would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for some weekend fun in the waterfront district.

Well kept older hotel. Very clean, very comfortable. No frills or extra amenities, but if you are looking for a good place to stay on a budget I highly recommend staying here. The next time I go charter fishing I will stay here again. I would give another star if they had a decent breakfast, the free "breakfast" was pre packaged muffins and danishes, not much at to choose from. But this right on the bay and you can fish off the dock!

Service was nice. Rooms are outdated and smell of "old paneling". On the good side they had nice clean mattress covers with no sign of bed bugs. Though rooms were old and outdated they were actually cleaned well. For the price you get what you get.

The location is great. Walking distance from the Jet Express. Our first room smelled of stale smoke so we asked to move. The front desk was very nice and gave us a new room. The towels were replaced each day.

I always choose this hotel and it's usually pretty good. But just yesterday I paid $90 for a room that wasn't cleaned all the way I had to clean it myself also got a bad attitude from the housekeeper and the guy at the front desk. I even went to the office to tell them about the room and the guy that was working the counter was sleeping in a chair and did not wake up.

Very nice rooms not fancy but we didn't need one fancy everyone was nice parking was good ! If you drank alcohol they did have an outside bar with live music and you were right at the edge of the river I enjoyed my stay tremendously. So I would recommend that in to anyone and I do !!!

I am curious where the hotel is in the pictures? It isn't at the Arlington Inn that is for sure! Our party booked 7 rooms and they were all dingy, smelly and hadn't been updated in at least 40 years. They looked absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website. My particular room smelled like old cigarettes and a really powerful urine stench. Fornutaley we didn't find any bed bugs. The whole place had a "by the hour" feel to it. Will never stay there again.

Rooms are very noisy, bed was very uncomfortable... no temp control, outdated.... stains everywhere.(Our friends room was worse and they were moved to a acceptable room)Can't believe the ratings this hotel is getting. Should be 2 stars tops... will never go back.

Forget the hotel go to the Bait House Riverfront bar behind it. (Same owner as hotel). Great views live entertainment. Very casual. Free Docks for visiting boaters. Cheap drinks. FUN!

Everything clean, check in was friendly. They permitted us to keep our car in their lot while we fished on Sassy Sal that day, thus saving us moving it to a parking lot further away.

Cons; It's a little dated, small, and could use some small repairs. Pros; location, view, price, clean linens, the staff was super friendly, the knotty pine wood is reminiscent of a cabin, there's a bar out back with propane campfire tabletops. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Vary old and out dated. Room smelled of bleach, makes me wonder what's being covered up. But it was clean. Ac made the room more humid. And I've seen bigger bath rooms in a 5th wheeler
