Absolutely awesome i have never been to a repair shop that was completely honest Rainbow muffler and specifically jay at rainbow muffler was great. Very knowledgeable and honest because of his honesty i saved over $1000. I went to 2 different repair shops and both of them tried to sell me parts i didnt need and they never explained anything. Jay at rainbow took the time explained everything and tried everyway he could to save me money awesome awesome place i am coming back from now on!!!

I brought my car in due to a check engine light and it wobbling at low speeds. Dude told me I needed a new tie rod ends and an upper control arm and the check engine was due to my catalytic converter. The reality of the matter is I had a broken belt in my tire that was causing the wobble. Although the catalytic did pop up when I went for a second opinion, my main issue was the 3rd coil needed to be changed in order for it to run smoothly. Changed the tire and the coil on plug and my problem was gone. I'm not saying that I couldn't have USED the upper control arm or tie rod ends.... but that was clearly them trying to upsale me. I would have paid the 700 bucks and my wobbling problem would have still existed after the work was done. I did give them the money to fix the upper control... all I'm saying is, don't depend on them to be honest with you about what's wrong with your car and not try to upsale you and finesse. Luckily I got ppl and I know enough about cars to know when something might not add up.

They heavily dented a door on my work van and refused to take any responsibility for it. Will not repair or file an insurance claim. Dishonest!

My name is Cheyenne Jaudon, I took my car to a rainbow muffler on 12/14/2023 to get a fuel rail pressure sensor replaced because my car was running in engine power, the guy there told me $400.00 plus tax bringing it up to $425.00. They fixed the fuel rail pressure sensors. On 12/15/2023 I didn t get a call that stated my car was ready so I gave them a call he guy told me on the phone it s not the fuel rail pressure sensor but a hing stated it won t be ready till Monday 12/18/2023 stated that he ll just give me the part but have to charge me and extra $100 for labor I m like ok cool whatever it takes to get this car running right. On Monday 12/18/2023 I had to call again to see what was going on they told me the car was ready and that I could come and get the car, I get to the shop to pay the $525 that was quoted to me they stated the price was now $610 we went back and forth about the price then end up charging me $545 for everything, only get in my car and to pull down the street for it to start running back in engine power reduce mood, took it back to rainbow mufflers where they guy came out with the computer plugged the car up and it reads the fuel rail pressure sensor the same thing they said was fixed it s not!!!! Tells me to leave my car there for another day for him to fix it it was his mistake he must have put the wrong hing on it will be ready on 12/19/2023 I didn t call on that day because I like maybe the found something else wrong. I let that day go by and called in on 12/20/2023 to see what s the issue with the car guy on the phone with me states oh he said it s ready you can come get it he test drove it last night you go to go. I asked the guy on the phone what I the policy on refunds he stated oh I would have to give you number to the manager to call you I said because I going to have my brother pick it up and if it still running the same I would like my money back because the car is not fixed he understood. The car gets to me around 5-6pm I get in the car to drive it up the street the car is still not accelerating right it s still running in engine power reduce mood I really just want a refund because not only did I give them 2 times to fix it but three and the car is still stating the problem went and spent $175 at Chevy for them to tell me the same thing that was suppose to be fixed and I called the shop jay the owner answer the phone didn t want to hear what I had to say just talked over me the whole time I will be contacting a lawyer so I hope this business is ready

Their satisfied customer reviews must be their family members cheating to boost their rating. Theses guys are just out for the money. They don't care about you or your car. Jay the callous customer service representative....they will order unnecessary parts and fake fix your vehicle. Save your time and your money!

After going to a dealership and getting quoted $2,000 for a repair, I checked this place out and Jay was able to fix my problem for only $100! Such great service!!! They really care about their customers.

Well for me I took my car to them for a bad muffler and they said I need a a hole system and they weld the hole system together with out clamps and the worst thing happened I did that in 10- 1 - 22 and the whole system rusted and needed replacing and It didn't last three years that's not right I will never go to them again and I put them on blast on social media for sure

I will never come here again the first time I waited was 30 minutes nobody acknowledge me now this time 03/18 I waited an hour still nobody acknowledge me only thing I wanted an oil change

Went in for a check in the brakes. Sat there for 3 hours while under the assumption I was just waiting on a bay so they could bleed the lines. They took the car on two test drives and the first one confirmed he felt the brake dropping and that definitely meant there is air in the break line. By the time we left, the manger tells us neither of the drivers felt the pedal dropping. Instead brings up hub bearings and that that's the sound we were hearing although we never heard anything or mentioned it to them.

I have been a long time customer at the Rainbow Muffler shop on Nottingham Road, and I can honestly say I haven't experienced any problems with their service. The few times there was an issue, it was resolved quickly. The shop manager Jay is very professional; if it's something that they can't do, he's given me suggestions and advice. When I spoke to Jay he explained he had to order two parts and one of the parts was special so it cost a lot of money. However when I went to go pay he explained that he had to make a piece and it was one piece. Seemed like he was lying or just trying to come up with an excuse to charge me more. However they did the work so if he overcharged me I couldn't prove it. After I left my bill was 466 but my card was charged 485. So I called and I was agitated. Who wouldn't be after leaving with a receipt and being charged more. I was not irate just upset. Turk was rude and not sympathetic at all. Customer service just horrible. He said there was a sign and it was right there as if it was my fault I didn't see the sign when I went to go pay for it. He explained I needed to talk to Jay to tell Bob whatever. It's just a simple fix. Make that priority to inform your customers. Also if I'm calling about it why be rude when it should be priority to inform us? A simple apology would have suffice but instead I was treated like a nobody, however before they took my money that wasn't the treatment. Do better. Because I/we deserve better esp after spending almost 500 dollars.Service: Exhaust

I worked on a car after they did and they completely destroyed the catalyst converter the car would barely hit 20 mph after they worked on it cost the owner of the car well over $1K to fix the car the right way they completely took advantage of someone who knew nothing about cars by telling her he "cleaned the coverters" charging her $300 and damaged the car. Would NEVER recommend this place!Service: Exhaust

The Rainbow Muffler on Nottingham damaged my car severely and it cost me over 1k just to get it back in drivable condition. It's very noisy but drivable. It is a rip off and needs to close. The lead technician is unprofessional and very hard to work with. I will never use them again and recommend anyone not to use them. Took car for repairs knew alternator paid for knew alternator find out was refurbished and create total different problem battery not charging car completely stop would move. Will not take any responsibility that the problem was from fault refurbished alternator. Very disrespectful and rude. Did not care about my problem that he created at all. But would it recommend to anyone taking car there for any kind of service.

They did what needed to be done. Exhaust turned on check engine light. They respected MY TIME & inspected my exhaust issues without judgment. Fixed immediate issues less than $80 and promised to resolve future issues if needed. Thanks

This is the second time 2 different cars that I ve gotten an oil change on then all of a sudden my car just doesn t work anymore! I m calling my lawyer! They gone pay for it this time! Went to Rainbow a few weeks ago for an oil change. I have a VW so I know that my oil changes are a little more expensive. I was quoted a price and accepted. I also asked about the other services that are advertised on the website that are included with the oil change but was told because my oil change is special that I would not receive the other items that are normally included. Oil change was done but 2 days later I have a puddle of oil in my garage. Take it back was told that some oil spilled out but was cleaned up and it should be fine.... Well a week later it's still leaking oil. I take it back and was then told my turbo was bad, it's normal wear and tear and i needed to take the car to the dealership. Mind you my car is only 4 years old with 38000 miles but I take it to the dealership. Needless to say nothing was wrong with the turbo but the oil change that was done at Rainbow was a mess and I had to pay to have that mess cleaned up. I would love to discuss this further with someone. Me spending the money I spent on an oil change not receiving all of the services offered, car leaking for more than a week and spending more money to have this error corrected should definitely be addressed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Hood blew open after repairs causing 5k in damages the owner refused to make repairs siting it was a insurance issue and not so much as offered to pay the deductible if you do not respect me as a customer and pride yourself in protecting my vehicle and well being then you have not earned the right of having my businessFelt DisrespectedService: General repairs & maintenance

This place was my saving grace!! I was running around town crazily, because one of my whims shield wipers completely stopped working 2 days before I left to go out of town. My dealer ship wanted me to pay them 130$ just for them to tell me what was wrong with it not including an actual repair. However, Jay (I think that s his name) was sooo nice. All I needed was a tighten Med screw. He greeted right away, did it within 5 minutes for free!!! I begged to give him a tip and he decline gracefully!! Great man and a great place!!! Thank you!

Always fantastic getting my oil changed at RM. $27 is a steal. No appointments so you have to bring it in early in the AM, but friendly and fantastic service always. Can't imagine going anywhere else.

I brought my car to Rainbow about 10 years ago and got really good service at a reasonable price. This place has not changed, I got great service and a reasonable price again. Hope I don't have to get muffler service again but if I do... Rainbow Muffler is where I'll come back to. Incidentally, it was two different vehicles. Thanks guys!

Brakes costed me a arm with a leg but everything is expensive every where. I like they attitude, work, and speed of time.They not dry or rude and very helpfulThis is the only one i go too. I had another car they put in a converter(big job) they price was the cheepest in the city! I fuq with them!

I was wowed by the know how the team at Rainbow Muffler had in getting my 2010 Honda Insight a new muffler installed. In short order the problem was diagnosed and new muffler was available. I was on my way home in 40 minutes of time. I'll use them again for my Honda Insight that has 169,000 miles on it. I feel blessed to have used there service when others could not help me.
