Tell me you are a great mechanic without telling me you re a great mechanic. So I called Mangols just see what was up with our car, and I said I know you guys close in 30min just wanted a quick update. First off I should preface with the fact we called him on Friday and he tried to get us in that day. But we said we couldn t get there till Saturday. Already a great start. Then Robbie said we are getting the tires off now and we have a brake job to do before we close, we don t mind spending some extra time here to finish a job. I will always go to Mangols.

Completely honest and comprehensive auto shop. They sent us a high quality and detailed video of their inspection of our vehicle! Highly recommend.

I went to this overpriced place for years only because they were fairly close. I had to go back the last time because the garbage quality brake pads they put on completely shattered within 9 months, which, in turn, destroyed my rotors. They then charged me $610.00 to redo these rotors that cost maybe $60-$80 dollars total in parts. This redo brake job was done only four months ago and is already making a loud noise in the rear wheel. I didn't want to deal with this guy again, so I went to NTB, who took the rear tire off and immediately noticed the problem and described what was wrong. He told me to go back to where I originally had the brakes done, Mangols, because they should still be under warranty, instead of having to pay NTB to fix it, which was nice of him to say.So, I go back to Mangol's to get this fixed under warranty, and, of course, they said they didn't hear any noise driving it around a couple of back roads. When I set up the appointment, I specifically told them twice that they had to drive on the highway to hear the noise. This guy tells me he took the rear tire off and didn't see any problems, so they either have no idea what they're doing, or lied right to my face about ever having looked at it. I think it's both; stereotypical dishonest mechanic that you see on the news right here. They're all smiles and gladly take your money to do new work, but when you bring your car back for warranty work, he gives me an attitude and a handful of excuses why my car wasn't worked on, and tries putting a guilt trip on me like I'm just bothering him by asking for the work to be corrected. Why have people make an appointment if you're not going to keep it.So, they wasted my whole Saturday and didn't fix anything, and let my car just sit there until I picked it up. Hey, why should a company do warranty work when money can be made from new repairs, right? They told me to come back next week. Why, so they can waste another day of mine and give me more attitude while not fixing anything? Yeah, right. They should've fixed it when they had the chance and kept their appointment and not waste people's time and money. They probably only do warranty service if they can add more work to it and upcharge and make money off you somehow, exactly like they did to me the previous time.I'll never go back here ever again for new or warranty work, or for any reason, which I'm sure they'll be glad to hear. Now I have to waste more money and pay some other place that knows what they're doing to fix what they screwed up. On top of it all, the front brakes they did previous to all of this are now both squeaking, thumping, and creaking when you push the brake pedal. Normally, I wouldn't write a bad review like this, but they deserve it. Google reviews exist for a reason, to warn other people.

Mangol's is my go-to for car repairs. I've used them a few times over the years and Rob is amazing- he is friendly, honest, trustworthy and his prices are fair. He and his team do great work, finish when they say they will and treat your car with respect.

This is my first time @ Mangol's. I called and they (Rob) answered the phone. Told me to bring my car in. I dropped it off. He called me with 24 hours & diagnosed the problem and got it done in a very reasonable time. His prices seemed fair. He seems to go above & beyond for people. This is why you go to a Family owned Business

I was recommended to them by a well known auto part store and I am extremely thankful of the referral. Rob was pleasant, quick, flexible with my work schedule, fair, honest, NOT looking to rip people off. Great work done on my car and I was even given a loaner car to go to work. He goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied. I will not be going anywhere else and have recommended others as well.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical

On our trip to Ohio from South Carolina our ignition lock broke. Our long time friends Rob Sr and Jr took us in and replaced it the same day so we could return home the next day. Great work, good price, great friends. We appreciate you Robby for more than 25 years you have been so wonderful to my family by taking care of our cars.Thank you from the bottom of my heart.Service: Auto maintenance

I hit a bunch of screws on the 77N ramp at PV. I called Mangol's that day and they squeezed me in the next day. He said he didn't want me to wait around until his next opening (Tuesday). He stayed at the shop after hours on Saturday to plug 2 tires. This was above and beyond. I was in need of new tires anyway, but this buys me time.Service: Tires

I'm not sure? Is $800 for back breaks the going price for a small SUV? They were nice, and they completed the job in one day. I just didn't expect the cost to be that much... If that's a fair price, then they did a great job!!!

Have taken multiple vehicles multiple times to Mangol's over the years. Service is quick. Communication is honest. Robby (Jr.) makes sure the customer is educated and comfortable with the costs before finishing the work. Robby will say what's really necessary to be safe and what repairs you could probably delay. Quality of the products and the workmanship is terrific.Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Battery

I went in there thinking that 1 particular thing was wrong with my truck, but after Robbie did a deeper analysis, he found that the issue was really my fuel pump. These guys are very patient, knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, & I was very happy with the price of my repair. I officially have a new mechanic.

We have taken all 3 of our cars to Mangol's since we moved to Independence in 2009! Robbie Sr was a pleasure to work with, and Robbie Jr has done a tremendous job continuing the high quality business. We recently had brakes put on our truck and SUV in addition to air conditioning fixed on our third vehicle. They provided excellent service, and I will continue to have our cars serviced here.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Robbie and the family team are very reliable and extremely helpful in servicing our family vehicles. We have been going to them for several years now and trust that they ll give us quality service for the things we need and don t push us on things we don t. As a result of that family business ethic, the shop has plenty of customers of all makes and models and there doesn t seem to be any need to push unnecessary services. Highly recommended and trusted auto mechanics!

I know nothing about vehicles...first off. These mechanics will talk to you in normal terms and if you want an explanation they are always kind enough to give one. I have never had a car spend more than one day in their shop and they give VERY honest assessments if you need them (This can go till summer?, This will need replaced when? Is it really worth it?). And if you can find a place that charges less, good luck. Family owned and operated and I love that.

The guys here were great. I brought in a flat tire I had just changed out and they were very accommodating in looking at it, repairing it, and then mounting it for me within the hour despite having other work. Price was very reasonable too

Found a screw in my tire after getting home from work. Called these guys up just before they were closing, said if I could get there soon they would help me out. Needless to say, they had that tire patched about 15 minutes later. And didn't charge me much either! This was only my first time at Mangol's, but they were fast, friendly and happy to fix the tire even though they were closing. Routine job for them, but they certainly saved the day for me!

Mangol's treated us very well. I had some unexpected car trouble while visiting family in Ohio and Mangol's was able to get us on the road the day we intended and expected to leave. Very fair prices and the work was done to my satisfaction. Car is running great, no more leaking oil and I would recommend them if ever in my unfortunate position!

We sprang a pretty bad leak in our tire on the way to Hocking Hills and stopped here to see if we could get an emergency repair. Robbie stayed after closing hours to help us out with the tire in the rain! Thank you again:)Service: TiresService: Tires

Unreliable - dishonest - bad service. Took my car there, they told me the repair would take a few days and would run me a whopping $600 +tax (they encouraged me to do a more "complete" repair for over a thousand but I opted for the $600). I EXPLICITLY asked them if the proposed repairs were all that was wrong with the vehicle (to which they answered yes), I EXPLICITLY asked them if the repair would COMPLETELY correct the mechanical issues with the vehicle (to which they answered yes). After having my car for 3 weeks they informed me they not only DID NOT FIX the car but that they COULD NOT fix the car. Now, a month without a car, no closer to have a working car, they want money in return for their "services." I would stay away from this auto shop entirely as they are completely dishonest and without integrity.

Was very happy with my first experience. Thought I had a several hundred dollar repair and was pleasantly surprised when they told me I had a $32 fix. Will definitely go back again. Appreciated their honesty.

I think I could live in Independence, Ohio just to be closer to this auto repair shop. We were traveling from Vermont back home to Minnesota when our camper van blew a barke part. They had us up and running and back on the road basically over night. Our new heroes run and work at Mangols this amazing place.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Mangols is my local garage who I have used for years. A long time fixture in Independence, they do quality work and keep their promises on price and when your car will be ready. If you want what you pay for, go to Mangols.
