Brian has fixed my tire for me on three separate occasions. I picked up a nail here and there. He is super friendly and quick!He also checked my brakes for me and was honest and said I had much more time on the pads they had just accumulated some dust creating noise.I truly appreciate having GT brothers right here in Lakewood with good prices and service!Thank you

I've had 3 different vehicles worked on at this shop over the past 5 years or so and have not had a bad experience. I've never been ripped off. In fact, there have been times I tell them that I want something done and they convince me that it doesn't need to be done. I don't understand some of these one star reviews. But then I have worked on my own cars for about 20 years and I understand the nuances of repair work.

Once upon a time this was my go to shop. After dealing with Brian for the first time, I'll find another shop. Didn't get any work done.

I can t speak for the auto service since I ve never had a car repaired here, however I saw the lot at the side of the building and parked there to attend a garage sale 4 houses away. I didn t even know it was their lot. I wasn t even at the sale 15 minutes when I returned to find my car being TOWED! It s a total scam. A tow truck is waiting on the other side of the building and the minute someone parks there, it starts to be towed.I explained I didn t know I could not park there ( Im not from the area). I saw no signs that said otherwise. The tow truck man pointed to an old, faded sign on the side of the building that indicated no parking. I honestly didn t see it. It s so faded I could barely see or read it.He wouldn t take my car out of the tow chains until I paid him 65.00 cash. Thank God I had the money on my, or he said it would cost me DOUBLE if I had no cash, because he would tow it away.This is obviously a scam to make money. I think if they really wanted to keep cars from parking there they would put up signage people could actually SEE. I would never have parked there if I saw the sign.

We have gone here for ten years, but service has declined terribly and we will never return. Most recently, they replaced our timing belt, which within 6 months had problems and needed replaced while we were out of town. They also replaced coolant but did not burp the system so our van broke down and they had to tow it back to their shop to fix. Do not go here.UPDATE 1/17/18: Today my wife went there to ask for a partial refund. Brian told her that if we had not posted a negative review, he might have considered a refund. This smacks of unethical conduct and strikingly bad business sense. Rather than contact us, customers of ten years, to say: "Hey! I read your review and am so sorry! What can I do to make it better?" he says, "You said bad things about me! No deal!" Again, avoid this place like the plague.

I just had an urgent repair at this shop and I am completely satisfied. This shop was recommended by some Lakewood neighbors, and I would recommend them as well. Brian was very knowledgeable about the needed repair, and he fixed it in a few hours. The cost of the repair was very reasonable, and my car runs great. We will be bringing our cars here from now on. We are new to Lakewood, and I am so glad to have found this shop!

Was just told by Brian, the manager to kiss his a** because I exposed him for not being honest. My wife and her in laws have been loyal customers of GT Brothers for years. The A/C system stopped leaking in her car and went there for service. She was charged $200 for a check and was not diagnosed properly. They filled the system and said it should last the summer, wishful thinking on their part. It did not. So she went back and they said they repaired the leak, but they just refilled it again. This process may be illegal putting R134 into system that has a leak, hence putting that in the atmosphere. So they fill it again and it is empty again. They have never questioned GT Brothers about any repairs although I have. So I stayed silent because they at one time were happy with his service. That however is now over. Here is the kicker. My wife also went in for a front end noise and was told it needed front struts and stab links. Guess what another misdiagnosed problem. GT Brothers wanted $1,000 to repair the struts and links. So I had the vehicle diagnosed by a service shop that I deal with and they diagnosed the real problem. It was a broken motor mount, $290 for the repair. If you have any knowledge of how service centers should be ran, Because I do, Brian is not one to do well when confronted with the truth. What really baffles me is why they wouldn't do the repair properly the first time and the problem would have went away, and they would still have loyal customers.

Was a regular customer years ago spending thousands here and am sad to say all of the negative reviews now are true. Waited 6 days for my car to get in for simple brake pad and rotor job.. authorized them to work on it Monday (soonest available). Was notified Monday they wouldn't work on my car due to a flat tire (slow leak over 6 day wait) and said a brake light was on (there wasn't.. no lights were on when I picked up the vehicle). They then said they refused to pull it back in because they called to give me a price "but decided they don't want to work on it" due to the above issue now. I had already authorized the nicer guy to do the job.. you didn't need to call a second time to give me a price. (Even if I hadn't already authorized the other guy I don't need a price on what should be an hour labor job... makes me wonder what the price would be if he felt the need to call me for 1.5 hours labor max..). They knew about the air leak Thursday when they called to say they couldn't get to the car until Monday. It was in the same condition then. When I got home, the hood was popped and wouldn't close. You don't need to open the hood to change brake pads and rotors.. nothing is being bled? Basically just wasted 6 days to poke around under the hood for no reason and insult me. They put air in the tire, had the parts, and the repair was authorized.. so the real reason is they needed the bay and labor for higher paying jobs.

Our family has been going to GT for 20? years for every repair. Never once have we been disappointed. Like everyone, the biggest fear when going to a garage is getting ripped off. No one likes paying for auto service, but it's a lot easier when you always feel you've paid a fair price for good work.

Pretty displeased with their service. The employees are friendly and hard working but were completely unable to fix the problem I had.I purchased a 2006 Jeep Wrangled used about three years ago. It ran fine for two years until I ran into transmission issues, as you would expect with a Jeep. It would not shift gears and when it did shift, it would constantly bump and jerk violently for about two seconds before shifting gears. Seeing as this was the location that the previous owners used I decided take it to them.After THREE separate visits and shelling out over 3,000 dollars, the transmission IS STILL NOT FIXED! And every time I got a different excuse as to why the transmission isn't working. I need this vehicle for transportation and cannot afford to be without it.If you are unable to fix the Jeep that is fine, just tell me and give me a referral to someone who can. I did not pay 3,000 for a Jeep that still does not work.

Don't go here! Especially if you just need a tune-up. The most ridiculously expensive place for a simple tune-up. Not sure about other things but I know without a doubt that if you need a tune-up go anywhere else. For real. Anywhere else in Lakewood or even Cleveland. I was charged double the price of atleast 6 other places.Not only that but they gave me no indication at all of what code the diagnostic test revealed. They gave me no information at all except to say that it didn't have anything to do with the spark plugs. Believe me, you can do better than this place. I feel totally ripped off but its a lesson learned.

I've trusted Brian for over 20 years with car repairs.He's straightforward, honest and has helped me save thousands over getting service done at big chains.

I dealt with this place one time and that was all it took. Go anywhere else period. I came in and was told immediately that I couldn't be helped. Then i got dismissed with a hand wave and the service man turned and walked. Like i said one time was all it took.

Don t trust brain he Will screw you over ! If you need your car fixed and diagnose right go elsewhere especially if you buying a car he will tell you it s bad regardless of the shape of it others had same problem read other reviews!!

Very reasonable prices and reliable service. Even offered me a ride to a local place while I was waiting for my service to be completed. I know where I'll be taking my car from now on.

Terrible customer service. Had work done here then had to go to another automotive company to tell me the work that was done was completely wrong and did not even fix the problem. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very predatory, beware.

RUN,RUN,RUN AWAY!!!! You will overpay and be back several times, it seems like they fix problems and create new ones! Try Lucas down the street or All Foreign &Domestic, they both are very reasonable and job done right every time!
