Same day, After the installation of 4 NEW tires and a valve stem/sensor I just paid for when I get the call to pickup my car it was PARKED on the SIDE STREET and my passenger NEW rear tire was on top of CURB and FLAT. The manager MADE me PAY to FIX it. Service after that was just BAD BUSINESS. Shady management. Overpriced for untrustworthy work. Will be taken advantage of. Came in with an emergency flat due to a broken valve stem and sensor. Ended up buying 4 new tires to try to make the most of the high prices. However it was the worst option. Very poor customer service. LESSON LEARNED.

One of their drivers backed into me, and everyone at the company has been extremely rude and unintelligent and dealing with the situation. Based on this experience, I would never recommend using their services.

Had work done on our car .was charged 400.00.what a joke.work was not done properly.our car is back in the shop with the same problem as before .not this shop though.will be contacting the b.b.b.and a lawyer ..piss poor attitude's at this shop

My overall experience was horrible, they were rude and they told me they would fix sensor on my car and took out old sensors and said they couldnt put in new sensors and they didnt even put old sensors back in. And they lied on me. They are unprofessional and dont fix things correctly

I always go to Marc for all of my tire and wheel needs. I am very picky and he always exceeds my expectations from my 56 Willys Jeep to my Audi A8L. I will not go anywhere else!

I went for locked lug nuts but I had no key! And a flat. They took the lug nuts off without using a drill or torch as Firestone and Midas and several tire repair places told me they had to do it that way looking at 350.00 plus in charges! They took my car in and quickly got the locked nuts off safely and professionally and were very friendly and reasonably priced. I recommend them highly. Thank you

they are a rip off of people's money. they over charge for poor service. I went twice times for the same repair and was charged different prices for the same problem. I've spent over $3000 for nothing. they take advantage of people who don't know about cars. if you're getting tire service fine but do go for anything else. PLEASE BE ADVISED!

I took my car here and was referred by a near by mechanic I know. It was a terrible mistake I was supposed to get a wheel alignment and my keys were taken immediately and said that they were able to get it done now. I waited in the waiting area just about an hour. When I came out after that hour I was told that it would be several hours. I had never heard that before,so I decided to go walk and get a bite to eat to my surprise my car was parked on the street and hadn't been touched. All I could think was they had a plan to try and get more money acting like the service was a hassle and had other issues which I know it didn't I had just picked up from another place for tires and no problems just needed a wheel alignment smh. Needless to say I won't be returning.

Edit: after leaving this review and complaining with the Better Business Bureau, I received no response. Once I said that I would litigate if I continued to be ignored, I swiftly received a call to come in and rectify this situation. Suddenly was no longer being told that I couldn't come in on a Saturday, Wich originally I was explicitly told I was not able to come on saturday for an alignment as there was not enough time in the work day. So a complete 360 on what I was told originally. They proceeded to perform my alignment, and while my car finally drives straight after months of requesting the work I already paid them for, I was told there was damage to my steering box. This can be noticed with a slight play in the wheel. When I initially came in for an alignment I was told specifically that this was not the case and that the box was fine, however I needed all new ball joints and tie rods and such. Proceeded with those repairs and that was the original review I left below.So, essentially, they told me the box was fine and the control arms were mostly fine and told me what to replace, then proceeded to not perform the alignment and duck and dodge me for nearly 8 months or so before only getting back to me when I said I was calling my attorney. Only to tell me that my steering box was suddenly also in bad shape. Now I am not the best mechanic and I stick mostly to brakes, shocks, alternators, water pumps and other very basic repairs. But I don't see how a steering box THEY said didn't need replaced when I asked if anything else needed done initially, that was driven on an uneven alignment they caused and refused to fix for OVER 6 MONTHS until the fear of litigation was imposed, is somehow just not their fault. This is not a trustworthy establishment. Look them up on the Better Business Bureau site and you will see all of the shady stories from other customers. Protect your car and your wallet and stay away. They might just take your money and run and then swear at you and call you stupid for noticing that they tried to pull one over on you. Please be cautious at the very least.Original Review:DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SHOP. Shady business. No respect for customers. Took Vehicle in for front end repair and alignment. Over $1800 in total repairs. When I received my vehicle back it steered significantly worse than before. I was told the shop was closing and to call to bring it back in. The front end parts appear to have been replaced but the alignment was way off. Car is barely driveable. Called back and was told they never said this and was refused to set a time to bring my car in and prove it wasn't finished. Was told I couldn't schedule to finish the repairs that were already FULLY PAID for. Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau and still after nearly 6 months have not received an email or phone call from this business and my only remaining option is legal action. Not only a shady business but an extremely disrespectful and profane workforce. I was treated terribly and screwed over by this "business"

They don't torque the lug nuts to spec. They just crank them on with their impact driver. Tech guy said his impact drive was set to 3. I asked how many ft-lbs that equates to. He had no idea. when I got home I went to loosen the lugs so I could tighten them to spec with my torque wrench. had to use a breaker bar to get them lose. They were way over tightened. If I had been on road with a flat and no breaker bar I would have been stuck. Also leads to premature failure of lug nuts. Any decent tire shop uses a torque wrench to tighten lug nuts.

I should ve looked at some of the reviews before I took my car to this place. This place is horrible! They will rip you off. I went here to get a wheel alignment. I was unable to get an wheel alignment because they Claim I have problems with my car. Okay, understandable ! But then they tried to charge me. How you go charge me when I did not receive services from you? They refuse to give me my keys until I pay the money. SmhStay away from this place!! This place will not be in business long.Ps. I will be contacting my lawyer because they damage my car as well . I am the wrong person to mess with !!Y all go try to take advantage of an pregnant women.. disgrace

I did not use this business because when I decided I did not want to pay a certain amount for a wheel alignment the guy hung up on me. I was just calling around places to see who has the best price and availability. I would've considered this place if their customer service wasn't so poor. Thank you.

Bought Great Tires, Rough Ride!!! Safeway Overinflated brand new tires with 8+lbs over per tire! QqWhat a difference with proper inflation. Was not happy with 'lack of customer service', communication or lack of consideration!! Never, not ever again!

I was on a road trip with a friend when I noticed my driver's side front tire kept deflating. As a lady, I'm usually getting overcharged for car services, but the employees here were very transparent about prices and they quickly patched up my tire.Everyone on the team was so kind! Thank you again!

Very pleased with professionalism and customer service. Mark Yagour is a great guy. I especially loved their alignment tech since he is the only guy in Cleveland that could align my 67 Chrysler. It took him almost three hours to get it perfectly correct. I highly recommend Safeway to anyone reading this posting. Great job Safeway Tire!

Got tires here. In and out in 90 minutes. Competitive prices on quality tires (coopers). PLUS they offer no credit check financing through 3rd party companies (just make sure you pay it off within 90 days or get charged EXORBITANT interest).

Very nice and good service until you question their work. They flat out lied to me about what my car needed and tried to charge $500 bucks after they damaged my vehicle. Needless to say, I took it elsewhere to get a 2nd opinion and got my car repaired correctly for $120. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

I am a certified mechanic I took mine 97 Chevy suburban to Safeway to get a wheel alignment because I do not have one in my shop they told me that parts on my truck were old and no good I knew that to be false because I had just put the parts on the truck they are cheating people out of their money. They did not know that I was a certified mechanic and they still tried to charge me a service fee before they would give me my keys. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. This is pertaining to the Safeway on Superior avenue in Cleveland Ohio.

If I could I would give this company negative stars. These people are the slowest auto shop I have ever been to. I went to this place a 3 days ago to buy a used tire. Was waited on as soon as I arrived and went into the where the desk is, no one was in front of me. I was told it would take 30 mins to change the tire. An hour and 20 minutes later I was out the door. I am NEVER going to this place again. They weren't even concerned what was taking so long until I had been there for 50 minutes already. And still refused to live with any urgency, instead all offered was excuses.They are the worst and I would not recommend this place to anybody. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

Went to get my tires balanced they did what they said was a balance scratched my rims and then spray painted them with a completely different color and on top of that still had the same problem which later I find out is bad tires so how can a tire shop not know that

I just had Safeway fix a tire that had a slow leak. Stopped in on my way to work today. They diagnosed the problem and repaired it promptly. The cost was very reasonable. I m glad they didn t try to sell me a new tire(s) by representing the existing one couldn t be repaired. I will definitely go to Safeway in the future if I have tire needs and would highly recommend them to others.

THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF charged me $145 to change 4 wheels.told me i needed a new strut (mine was "bent") and would do it for $2400. took it for a second opinion and there is nothing wrong with the strut. got an alignment somewhere else. THIS PLACE IS TRYING TO RIP YOU OFF DO NOT TRUST THEM!

Downtown Safeway Tire & Car Care is my favorite "Go To Shop" when in need anything for my car. I have snow tires and performance tires, both sets of tires were purchased from Safeway. Mark, Peggy and the staff, have always provide me with excellent service. They are friendly, courteous and informative. Today I went in for an oil change, alignment and one tire had lost air over the weekend. Mark showed me where I had picked up a nail and explained that they would be able to patch it. Peggy further explained that I had 'Road Hazard" protection when I purchased the tires so there would be no charge for the repair. From maintenance to major repairs, I trust Downtown Safeway Tire & Car Care. I come from an automotive family and respect and appreciate honest repair work done right.
