I ve been going to Donovan s Specialty Auto Service for the past few years and I m so pleased with their work and customer service I wouldn t dream of going anywhere else. Ever since our daughter s 2008 Volvo steering wheel belt snapped unexpectedly the night before she was to drive it to NC, I knew I had to have only the best servicing this vehicle. The Volvo is 15 years old but it still runs great thanks to Donovan s. The car goes back and forth between OH and NC for college countless times and I no longer worry about it not making it. Donovan s makes sure the vehicle is road ready and safe for my daughter to use in her travels. I wouldn t take our cars anywhere else. And the customer service is top notch! They are always available to answer my questions, and I m one with many. I appreciate the work that they do and would highly recommend Donovan s to anyone looking for a reliable automotive service provider.

Donovan Tire Specialty is servicing cars in the old Nordic Motors space. The change in owners made me a little nervous because I loved Nordic motors. What I found was the same great service, friendly staff and good communication with me, someone who loves my car but doesn t understand the technical parts of repair. The service was clearly explained & my questions were answered. When agreeing to the recommended services online-great feature btw, I felt confident in the repair plan. My Volvo C-30 will be back to Donovan-Specialty next time any service is required.Do yourself & your car a favor and check-out Donovan-Specialty!Photo for reference-not my car.

Buyer Beware! This shop is ran by a dishonest person that will absolutely lie to you and is not nearly as well versed in Volvos as they say they are.I was given an appointment for a transmission drain and fill after emailing this location and specifically requesting an appointment for that exact service.Upon arrival the dishonest service writer told me they didn't offer that service and "I never said that", when I brought up the emails he tried to say I was mistaken.He then told me to leave my car and he would "see if my guy will do it".He also tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about when it came to my Volvos needs, when I brought up the Vida (Volvo proprietary repair software) procedure for doing the transmission drain and fill he again tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about.When I brought up the technical service bulletins directly from Volvo that specifically referenced the service he again lied to me and told me I was wrong. (I have Vida at home and read it for fun, the guy has zero clue what he's talking about, he is a liar)Not sure how I could possibly be mistaken when the shop told me yes in an email, we will do that, and it's a written record from his email account, but when I showed up to the appointment the service writer who had made the appointment went on a tirade about how I was wrong and that he never said that.While waiting on an uber I heard this same service writer lie to another customer about the recommended maintenance schedule for their Volvo. He was overcharging them for work that didn't need done for another 50k miles, total scum. (I know because I immediately looked up the maintenance schedule in Vida)About 2 hours after dropping off my vehicle I was called and told they wouldn't do the work because Volvo didn't recommend it (even though it specifically says to do the work in Vida).Complete trash. They wasted hours of my life, cost me almost $60 in uber, and the ripped someone else off while I was there. I'd personally avoid this place like the plague. You'd get more honesty out of a rock

I appreciate that Donavan technicians always perform a thorough inspection of my auto when in for service. Then they tell me what needs immediate attention and what can wait until the next visit. Their focus is safety and reliability. Thank you !!

Good morning, I drive a Jaguar and it was in need of some repairs, me and my husband tried to take it to the Jaguar Dealership hear in Cincinnati, but after waiting 20 minutes in the shop with all the employees just letting us stand at the front desk, we decided not to use them. Now to the good part, we have always been a customer of Donovan's in Columbia township, but was unaware of Donovan's Specialty Shop, but as always, they are an amazing group of people, I love everything about this shop, and on top of that they got the job done, my vehicle is performing like it's a new vehicle after getting it back. My Jaguar was in a bad way, but they fixed it and like I said it is running like it's new again. Thanks again for everything, C. Knox-Lee

I have two Volvos and after some bad service experiences elsewhere, I now will only trust them with the team at Nordic/Donovan s. They clearly outline any issues they find in digestible ways and it s clear they know their stuff. Donovan s provided incredible service, and what I like even more is the communication. I have an older car for my child, and the primary thing that the technicians wanted to be sure of was that it was safe and reliable. Jeff is very friendly. I had an appt at a business next door.I dropped the car off at 730 and my car was ready when I returned. I was grateful that t h ey fit me in the next morning after I called. I had a headlight out and don't like to drive in the dark with 1 headlight

The best experience I've had with a mechanic. They are super nice and responsive. On top of that, they didn't quote me for a bunch of extra work I didn't need unlike other shops I've been to.

Donovan tire is the best! Shea was able to get me in quickly and order all new tires, had me back in my car the next day. They gave me a loaner vehicle while my car was in the shop, which made things so easy! After picking up my car, that very next day I got a nail in my tire, I called Shea and they had put a tire protection on my tires so it was free to get a new whole new tire! Donovan tire really looks out for their customers, can t recommend them enough!Service: Tires

I am very pleased with the service I received.Reasons:- I was able to make an appointment and get the service done quickly.- The text notifications for approving service made my life easier.- (Most importantly) The technicians were able to fix a problem that the Volvo dealership could not, even after requesting they look into it specifically multiple times. The technicians were problem solvers not just service guide book readers. The issue was a sticking of the caliper that made a clicking noise and squeaks when braking at slow speeds.

I am very happy to have found this business! I recently purchased a used (site unseen) Volvo, and was looking to have this independently inspected. They were very responsive and flexible, as I was not sure of exact delivery date. Once I had the vehicle, they did a thorough inspection and gave me a full readout. I will be servicing my vehicle there moving forward unless for work under warranty. Really appreciated all the detailed reviews from others as well!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

From first phone call and pleasant conversation with Elizabeth to driving off in a beautifully tuned-up and repaired car, Nordic Motors lived up to its great reputation when looking over my 2009 Volvo C30 shortly after it passed its 100K mark. What I particularly appreciated was the prioritized list of upcoming maintenance and repairs to plan for the next 18 months of car ownership. It held very clear explanations that the owner of the shop explained further when I had questions. I do believe we will get this little speedster to 200-250K in Bill's and Elizabeth's competent hands. I recommend this independently owned shop as fully and strongly as it's possible to recommend anything!

Wanted to an oil change before it was suppose to be because after the last oil change, my car started burning oil and we mixed oil types. So we needed to have all 0W 20 oil in it. Went fine. Just need to keep my eye on the oil.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I trust Nordic Motors. I had my son's car towed 100 miles back to Nordic Motors to have it repaired. They did a fantastic job. I am amazed the car runs as well as it does after two days (one day to order the parts and the next day to repair major parts). We will be back for more small repairs in May but for now, my son was able to drive it back to his school 1000 miles away.We bought a used Volvo XC70 (160K miles) for our son 6 months ago from a private party. Nordic Motors recommended repairs on things. We had them do all the recommended work. The car had made several 2000 mile round trips and a couple of 1000 mile round trips with absolutely NO problems. Then my son ran it into a concrete wall!!! So again, we went back to Nordic Motors and they were absolutely wonderful and very speedy. Thank you Nordic Motors.

I was pleasantly surprised by Nordic Motors. I had been taking my Volvo solely to the dealer for about 8 years and it just got to be way too much pressure, too much cost, too much attitude. I had originally called them about an engine light code that the dealer wanted several thousand to fix. The guys at Nordic actually told me to not come in and advised me on a work around. This was a huge relief! Several months later I came in for regular service and they caught a few things and were very honest with me about having certain repairs done. They seemed genuinely interested in caring for my car and had realistic expectations. They even gave me a loaner car so I could go to work on time. Great place and great people. I will definitely be back.
