I can t say enough about Dan Torbeck. This is a generational shop from father to son and you can tell they have a lot of experience. I live in Columbus and started a new job that was headquartered in Cincinnati. I called Dan because my car, that had just been in the shop the weekend before to have the left front bearing replaced, was making a loud grinding sound after I drove to Cincinnati. I called Dan at 4pm and he said bring it right over. How many repair shops tell you to drop it off or we ll schedule you for the following week maybe! Not Dan, he heard it in my voice that I needed help and he stayed late, stopped work on something else to help me. I can t thank him enough. Go see this guy if you have a car problem. Thanks Again Dan!

Did some major 150,000 check up repair of timing chain, over heat on thermostat and radiator, also did a complete diagnostic, and major support and communication to us during the whole process. I would Recomwnd Toebwcks Auto Repair to all as they took care of the customer, a service I have not seen in a long time., as they even washed and detailed the car inside and out.Thank you Torbeck's.

My dad has going here for years and now I come here too! Kind owners. Transparent and trustworthy. My car always gets a complimentary wash/vacuum when I go too. Highly recommend.

I was extremely pleased with the service that I received here at Torbeck's Auto Repair. Dan (the owner) is a very honest, respectful, and friendly guy. They charged a very fair price and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I will not be going anywhere else for any of my auto repairs and will tell friends and family to use this business.

Dave Barber is the best! I received a questionable & expensive quote from my dealership to fix a brake problem on my car. I decided to get a second opinion. I found Dave at Torbeck auto repair. After a few minutes of looking at my brakes, Dave found the problem and provided a very simple and inexpensive fix. He even took me back to the shop to look at the problem and talked me through the issue and how to solve it. Transparency and trust are a big deal to me, and Dave provided me with just that. Working with Dan was great. We had a major issue right before we were supposed to go on vacation. He was able to get us in last minute and get the issue fixed. He stayed late on a Friday night and made sure we were able to get on the road in the morning. In my opinion he saved our vacation. Couldn t be happier. You guys have gained another regular customer! I have been here several times and can recommend them wholeheartedly. They have always been fair and honest in their dealings with me. They won t recommend unnecessary work just to make a buck off of you.

It's still the greatest! My family and I have been going there pretty much since it opened in the 1970s. Dan (the owner) is a great guy who cares about his customers. He resolved our car problem quickly and with a smile. I recommend Torbecks for ethical, competent service.

Took my car to Dan after Tire Discounter s didn t repair it correctly. Was able to get me in within a couple of days, repaired my car and even filled up all my tires, including spare, cleaned my car inside and out, provide loaner car and all for a fair price. Our family has been here twice this week and couldn't be happier! It's so important to have a trustworthy mechanic whose business makes you feel like part of the family. My van had a dead battery and not only did Dan offer to drive out to help start it, he gave me a loaner car while he was replacing the battery, he had an umbrella at my door so I wouldn't get wet in the rain and he carried all my groceries to the loaner car! We get a car wash, pens, towels and candy at each visit! It would have been a rotten day if not for Dan, Tari and their staff! Plus, they treated us to an awesome meal today at their 30 year party celebrating how long they have been in business in Hartwell!

Service here is amazing! Such a friendly staff. They made me feel so welcome and taken care of. Asked me if I needed a ride even! I was very impressed at the way they got me in on such a late notice and had my car back to me in the same day. The prices here are AMAZING. I didn t feel like they were up charging me at all which is amazing because at other repair shops I have. Definitely can tell they care about their customers. The customer service at Torbeck s is absolutely wonderful! Tari and Dan treat me like family , they fixed my car and are detailed and honest about the reparations needed. Dan is an expert and I feel so much safer in the car now! I really feel like they care for their customers as though they are family . I won t go anywhere else for a mechanic !

Dr. Dan does it again! He is definitely our family car doctor! He took care of my daughters car and put it back together again! The heater was a mess but now is working great. I definitely would recommend Torbeck s for fast, honest, and Reliable work. To say Torbecks exceeded expectations would be a serious understatement!!! After dealing (unsuccessfully) with one of the chains, I was referred to Dan and crew. Dropped my car off this morning in desperate need and returned 8 hours later to basically a brand new car!! I wasn t expecting a car wash or inside detailing. Wow! It was so nice and convenient that they came and picked up my car, and dropped off a car at no extra charge.It was basically the same cost as another place I checked only they didn t have to cut off a piece of my car. They knew how to make the repair properly.Then when they dropped off my car I got another surprise! My car was vacuumed cleaned, and washed! Honest, knowledgeable & great customer service. Another car repair shop had my car for 2 wks & it came out worse than when I brought it in. Torbecks had my car for 1 day & I couldn't be happier with the results. They have earned a new customer.

After my dealership couldn t fix my car I took it into torbecks for suspension and brakes and David took care of it. My car drives like it s fresh off of the lot. Not to mention they even washed my car as a courtesy. If your looking for quality repairs and mechanics you can trust then this is the place. Just moved into the area and was recommended by a family member. I ve never had such great experience with a mechanic in my life! Dan and Terri went out of their way to make this the most stress free experience. Quick, fair and exceptionally courteous. My boyfriend took our Ford Edge to Dan to fix our Hub assembly, once we got the car back it was still making a noise. He took it to someone else and they said that it was forced on. Once he found this out he call the shop to talk to Dan to see what was going on and talk about the issue and a lady answer and immediately started being very rude and screaming at him and told him that he couldn't talk to him so he hung and called me. I then called and asked to talk to Dan and the same lady answered the phone and immediately was very rude and told us that we would not be speaking to Dan. I would not recommend taking your vehicle here due to just the disrespect out of anything. We had had other work done at the shop and never had an issue. But I'm spending my money at your shop I refuse to get talked to like a child or be disrespected.

Honest work with detailed recommendations. Choose what you want to do now and come back for any extras. Cost summary per item. I have a 2005 Accord that has, well, some issues at 200k. Got the needed items done and I'll be back for a few less urgent items! Ask for a loaner to cover your work day(s) while your car is in the shop! If you want to keep owning your car and avoid paying your hard earned cash EVERY month to the dealership, this is a good way to go!

Dan has actually Saved me money on my last vehicle repair by letting me drive a loner vehicle all week while my sole vehicle has been in repair. When i think of the cost of a rental or a lyft to and from work alone, it would have been just too much for my checkbook to take.I would not consider Anyone else to take my current or future vehicles to, to get repaired.

Dan does an amazing job with my car each time i visit him. His business and staff have excellent customer service skills and they're all just very nice, professional and amazing people. Wouldn't trust my car with anyone else
