Solar Tint did an outstanding job completing the privacy film for our offices. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for someone to bring your designs to life. We gave them the idea of what we wanted and they delivered. Their design and install teams are very professional and detail oriented. 5 stars is not enough!

Product is great. Communication was slow with the sales representative. Installation of final seal for the product was terrible and had to be removed and reapplied, taking much time and was a great inconvenience. Overall a mediocre experience with the company.

My wife and I decided to use this company to tint several windows in our home. Four of them were large trapezoid shaped windows that get sun all day long. Though the price was on the higher side we decided to use Solar Tint based on the belief that their experience would make for the best results. Boy, were we wrong.Within four hours of the tint being installed on the windows, one of our large trapezoid windows had a large crack. After calling the sales representative, He stated that this happens in a small number of windows and because of that it is written into the Contract and Solar Tint does not assist with any funds toward a new window. Though this is written in the contract, we were never told that tint could crack a window. Shame on us for not doing more in-depth research. After this incident we researched and found out that large windows are more likely to crack when applying aftermarket tint. In addition, the shape of the window also affects the strength of the glass. Meaning that a large trapezoid window has a higher probability of cracking. When a representative comes to the in-home consultation you would expect, because you are using a reputable company , that the professional that comes to your home would be able to assess the possible risk and make you aware. However, that was not the case. The risk was never mentioned even after looking at the large windows.Solar Tint stated that cracks are very uncommon, they just put it in the contract just in case. Well after researching and speaking with six window companies, all of which stated they would not recommend tinting windows and they replace a lot of windows due to fractured glass from tint. In addition, we spoke with several installers in the field who stated that broken glass happens more often than Solar Tint led on. We were told while the Easton Town Center Mercedes Benz Dealership was being built, Solar Tint installed tint on a plethora of windows. Well, Mercedes Benz had over 20 large panes of glass break and Solar Tint came back out to remove the tint.Due to this, we were concerned that our other windows would crack. We had Solar Tint come out and remove the tint. We requested a refund and after not hearing back for 12 days, we decided to move forward with this review. We were left with a $3,000 bill to replace the cracked window and no assistance from Solar Tint.We are disappointed to say the least. Not only do we feel misled, but the lack of assistance and care after the fact speaks volumes about the company.I would never recommend this company based on our experience. When you hire a professional window tinting company you would only expect they would advise you of risks and not hide them in the fine print.Services: Sun control window tinting, Heat control window films

Rachel went above and beyond in regards to customer service and made it a great experience. Will use again for any further tinting needs in the future. Went with 20 tint in 3M color stable film and very happy with the look and workmanship. Thanks!!

WARNING! DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!!We have PERMANENT DAMAGE of 19 of the 20 PELLA windows that they installed solar film on!!! We had just had our house painted, including all the windows, 6 months prior to the solar tint installation. We had to hire the painters to repair and repaint all the damaged windows. The painters had to scrape off the damaged wood and paint, sand the areas, and repaint them. This took an entire day (at a cost of $700). We re devastated that we re left with PERMANENTLY DAMAGED PELLA windows! The company has good reviews on Google so we felt comfortable in hiring them. That was a huge mistake. The owner agreed to reimburse us for the repairs but never offered a penny of a discount. NOT. ONE. PENNY.! I wasted an entire day while the painters were there repairing all the damage, plus we re left with permanent damage. We wish we had never had them do the work. I took a lot of pictures and have posted them so other potential customers can see what happens during the installation process. The damage was done from when the installers run the squeegee across the window film to remove air bubbles. But, they were slamming the squeegee into the sides of the windows (window sashes) and that s how the damage was done. You would think that once they saw the damage they were doing, that they would have slowed down and been much more careful, but they continued doing the same thing on all but one window! Unbelievable! The lead guy has been doing this work, according to the owner, for 30 years!!! We do NOT recommend this company!!!!! The pictures of all the damage should speak for itself. AND, did I mention that, after all that damage, the owner of the company did not discount the cost a single penny!!!!! Yes, he paid for the repairs and re-painting to be done. BUT, the damage to the windows can never be fully corrected. I could literally cry my eyes out every time I look at my (used to be gorgeous) and very expensive PELLA windows. Our windows were in mint condition BEFORE the installers added the tint film. It makes me sick when I look at our window sills and see all of the damage that the installers did. And, what still totally blows me away is the fact that the owner did not offer us a penny of compensation for all the PERMANENT damage that was done!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company! NEVER!!! BEWARE OF WHAT you re paying for and the permanent damage to your expensive wood home windows!

I had the night vision 15 installed 2 years ago in my previous house. The living room (2 story with lots of windows facing south) was always warmer than the rest of the house. I had the window treatment done and I m pretty sure that it paid for itself in the 2 years I lived there.The living room was cooler with window treatment and shades open than without the treatment and shades closed. Also, you can see out of the windows with the treatment, but you can t see out of the windows with the shades closed.I recently purchased a new house and once it started warming up, I quickly remembered the window treatment - I hate having the shades closed and I definitely don t like high electric bills.The window treatment was just installed on all of my south facing windows.Once again, the installer was awesome.The office on the other hand, difficult to talk to a person - leave voicemail and they call back, most of the time. Call to change contact information for day of install and the installer still called me, at work, not the person that was at my house waiting for them.Product - incredibleInstallation - awesomeOffice - needs workServices: Sun control window tinting, Heat control window films

After speaking with a sales person, we were instructed to drive down to their office to see samples. After the 30+ minute drive, we were greeted by an office person, not our sales person. I got the feeling this was going to be the case, but I didn't expect that no one in the office of 8-10 could answer a single question about the products. The receptionist was not apologetic or anything, acting more put off that I questioned if anyone could answer us before we spent several hundred dollars with them. Eventually my rep called me back, but by then we had decided that we wouldn't trust them to do a good job.

Very professional!! Matt Allen clearly explained product and options. No pressure. PR-70 was used because it doesn't darken view. Noticeable reduction in heat on sunny days.Installation crew was VERY good. Careful, skilled and on time.Scheduling and payment arrangements handled with efficiency and good humor.I'm extremely pleased with the entire experience.

Bathroom remodel. The sales process was straight forward. I needed a solution that offered privacy and waterproof and attractive. The solution matches my tile selection and the installation team worked with me on the day of install. We had used Solar Tint about 10 years ago for our transom windows in the family room and the front windows in our house. We decided we needed to increase the filter 1 more level in the family room and add it to our Kitchen sink window & transom. They were able to easily replace the lighter filter film with the next level filter for the family room and added the new film to the round transom about the kitchen sink window. As last time, the installers were on time, very courteous and protective of our valance curtains on the windows below the transom lights. They did a great job installing the new films and were very careful in cleaning up during and after the installation.We like how the film protects the furniture, floors and walls from the sun and keeps the room cooler in the Summer. You only notice a slight difference in the tint of the windows but it is well worth it! They did a great job as always! We'd use Solar Tint again in a heartbeat.Service: Sun control window tinting

Had a 2013 VW JSW done all the way around in ceramic and am very pleased. In the process of getting quote from them to do the other two cars now too - a must to preserve your interior and reduce in cabin heat!

I had Solar Tint of Cincinnati film nine high-transom windows in a commercial space. They were the least expensive of the three firms I had bid on the project. They were the only firm that could supply the material which served our purpose, and they went to the trouble of ordering it from Louisville for us. They arrived on the day scheduled and completed the work on time. The workmanship was A+, and the installers were terrific to deal with. I was very pleased and would highly recommend this company.Service: Privacy window films

I'm going to start this by saying the product is fantastic. The customer service is terrible. I was quoted prices and the rep "accidentally" forgot to quote on one of the doors that was literally connected to the other door, so day of I find out we owe several hundred dollars more than what was originally quoted. They also had previously applied a military discount which they did not apply towards the late door add on. They were absolutely terrible to get in touch with, I texted them 3x with no response and emailed few times as well. I would highly recommend them for the product, but be aware they are awful at everything else.Service: Sun control window tinting

Solar Tint Cincinnati sales and installation was outstanding. They arrived on time for the initial estimation, answered all questions factually and provided an estimate in a timely manner. The installation was professional, clean and efficient. We had windows with UV protection but the solar heat was significant. After installation of the 3M Prestige 70 tint the rooms are measuring approximately 3 - 5 degrees cooler in the eastern and western facing rooms But the comfort level feels more like a 10 degree difference. In one westerly facing room with bay windows it was necessary to have a fan running in the afternoons, since the film was installed the fan is no longer required and the room is only about 1 degree warmer than the non-sun facing rooms. Very nice improvement, exceeded expectations.
