I'm so thankful that I found Northgate Transmission! My Ford Edge was having horrible transmission issues and everywhere that I got a quote from was so expensive! Northgate Transmission not only quoted me a very fair price but they were amazing to deal with! I dropped my car off on a Sunday, Mike called me Monday morning with a very reasonable quote and I had my car back and running like new on Friday! I would highly recommend Mike and his team for any transmission issues! Mike is great to work with and keeps you in the loop during the entire process! Thanks again Mike!

It's never great to need a new transmission, especially when your old one had low miles and you just had bad luck. But, things get a lot better when you find someone who goes above and beyond to help you. Mike at Northgate Transmissions gave fair and honest advice, worked hard to get an excellently priced replacement for me, kept in communication with me throughout the process, and had everything done in a very timely manner. They were the fifth shop I had called that day and I'm so glad they were the ones who did the job! I cannot rave enough about them. Thanks Mike!

Northgate Transmission is a class act, very professionally run and the place to go to get your transmission issues addressed. The owner (Mike Yeager) evaluates every vehicle to determine the scope of the job and the estimate he provides will be the final price ... no ifs/ands/buts or surprises. Mike also personally drives the completed vehicle to ensure the work is correct. The estimated time for repair was also spot on and I received my Tacoma truck when he indicated it would be done (and the exterior vehicle wash was a classy touch). I hope to never need more transmission work on any other vehicle, but if I do this is where I will go. Great job and thanks Mike!!

I can say I was probably a difficult customer, especially dealing with our extended warranty company. I also had an odometer issue in the mix. Mike was more than willing to help us work everything out with the transmission/torque converter and our warranty. The car is driving excellent, honestly better than it felt when we bought it used almost 3 years ago. Mike and his guys have been awesome to work with through this. Thanks again sir

Mike at Northgate Transmission is the best place to go!! From the first call to the last, his customer service was unmatched. He got my2015 Dodge Durango, diagnosed it and fixed it within 1 week!! The price beat anyone else!! I will be referring anyone I know to him in the future!

Props to Mike and his crew at Northgate Transmissions. They were able to get my GMC 1500 transmission rebuilt and installed in less than a week and at the exact pricing we discussed. They were up front with what work would be done and updated me throughout the process. In addition, they had the best pricing in the tri-state area. Overall great company to work with.

This whole team is great. Mike and his team diagnosed the issue less than 24 hours after dropping my truck. He gave me an estimate that is what I paid. The truck was only in the shop about a week (I prepared for much longer). They were very communicative and even washed it and put some air in the tires! I would 100% recommend Northgate transmission.

Mike and his team were amazing to work with! They replaced my transmission in my Sedona, Roxanne, in record time! Thank you so much for keeping me in the loop and cleaning my car too! I will definitely go here again if I need any transmission work - although I really hope it's not for awhile!

This was the best customer service we have experienced in a long time. The owner handles intake and reviews all cars before going out. He is friendly, clear, doesn't talk down to you, and delivered ahead of schedule. His communication skills are impeccable. At a time when you really don't want to be spending money on a transmission, he made the process easy, relaxed, and painless. Highly recommend!!

Had to have my transmission rebuilt and Mike (owner) was great through the entire process.I have a tuner on my truck so we had to upgrade from my stock transmission and he walked me through the entire process, sent me update texts and photos, and overall left me with a better truck than when I came in.Would highly recommend this guy, especially if you're looking for an honest guy that loves what he does.

It s been almost a month and my Jeep Wrangler is still doing it s thing, shifting of course. I appreciate how Mike took the time to explain to me what was going on with my clutching system and getting it up and running in no time. Hats off to you guys keep up the good work!

I have a 16 year old car and the manual transmission failed. The first repair shop I took it to told me that there were no parts available to rebuild the transmission. I called Mike at Northgate Transmissions and he was confident that he could locate the parts and rebuild the transmission as long as I was patient. Sure enough he got the job done and we are thrilled to have our car back on the road! It was a real find for me to have discovered this local transmission shop that is honest and reliable. Absolutely awesome work by Mike and his team. My 2003 F150 with 80k miles was towed to one shop, who diagnosed the issue and was up front that it needed a specialist, and I was referred to Mike. The truck was then towed to Northgate Transmissions, where Mike diagnosed it with a few issues. We agreed on a rebuild price and while in the process his team found it was a planet gear failure with lots of metal parts.. Within a week of starting the rebuild, I had my truck back and it is simply amazing to drive. I will always recommend Mike and his team now, and I appreciate them very much for taking care of us.Service: Transmission repair

Had my 2014 Escape towed there on a Sunday night, they give me a text Monday describing their experience with it and they'd have an action plan Tuesday.They call Tuesday and walk me through the problem, the why, their proposal, and answered questions. They gave me a reasonable price and some payment options. I asked for some time to think and they said that was fine.I called that afternoon to go ahead and they said 7-10 days.Friday they said my car was washed and ready to be picked up.Mike was courteous, professional, explained things but didn't make me feel like an idiot.Reasonable price, ahead of schedule, courteous, charge what they said they were going to charge. Excellent experience all around.

Mike @ Northgate Transmissions is THE best!! In 35+ years of being a car owner, and all of the things that go along with that, I have NEVER dealt with anyone as detailed, caring, honest, and open. I would REFER everyone and anyone to consider Northgate for your transmission needs. A++++

Called to see about getting my car looked at, with questions about transmission issues. Mike, who answered, was extremely rude and condescending. I will not be taking my car here.You weren't short, you were rude and condescending. If being busy makes you that way then you shouldn't be in customer service. That wasn't an apology, it was you just trying to make an excuse for your rudeness.

Was driving last week in my service company van (Ford Transit Connect) and my transmission died. I called Mike with Northgate Transmissions and he told me he could get the van in to look at it. That was on Friday.He told me they were booked through this week but they would try to squeeze me in. Also mentioned how difficult it is to get Ford parts, but that he'd try to check with his multiple resources to get what he needed so he could get me back on the road as quickly as possible.Well, here I am, the next Friday, happy to have my van back and it runs great! Mike had ordered multiple additional parts just to make sure they had everything they needed so they could get me back in my van ASAP!What a great experience! Don't bother looking any further! Absolutely blown away by the service Mike and his staff provided me at Northgate Transmissions. After dealing with a local Chevrolet dealership where I was told the unlimited lifetime powertrain warranty I had was no longer valid because I did not rotate my tires there, I did not know where to turn. Fortunately, a friend who also had a transmission fail on a 2015 Suburban referred me to Mike and Northgate Transmissions. Mike walked me through why the 2015 Chevrolet Suburban transmissions fail repeatedly and how they fix the problem in a timely and cost effective manner. Mike communicated with me throughout the entire process and even washed my car...all for less than half the cost of what I was quoted at the Chevrolet dealership. If you have a General Motors truck with a faulty transmission, I would not trust your vehicle to anyone else but Mike and Northgate Transmissions!Service: Transmission repair

Just stop looking for another shop, this is the BEST!!!! My Lexus at 235k miles was in need of a major transmission rebuild. Mike, the owner, provided the best customer service I have had in decades, for ANY business I have dealt with. He communicates with 100% honesty, provided a very competitive price, and has super integrity. He personally checks every vehicle when it is brought in and also does the final check after work is completed. I had an apparently common defect occur with my 2016 Chrysler Town and Country that affected my transmission. I got an initial diagnosis with the dealership, and they quoted me a price to replace the transmission. After calling around, I talked to Mike at Northgate. I gave the make and model of my car and he already knew the issue, what failed, what needed to be done. I actually stopped him and asked if I had mention the torque converter. He proceeded to go over what the expected work was and timeline for the repair, and quoted me a price that was half that the dealership.Northgate Transmission was great to work with. Everything was absolutely top notch. Mike was communicative and knowledgeable. The work was done quick, and the car is running great. Fantastic work and great communication! Mike was very clear about what the problem was and the steps to fix it: at no point did I feel like I didn't understand what they were doing with my car. Our 2006 Acura TL's automatic transmission went out and my usual mechanic referred me to Northgate Transmissions. I talked with Mike the owner and he explained their transmission rebuilding process on Acura/Honda. I had the car towed to the shop and Mike called me back with the quote after confirming the issue. I wasn't in a hurry so I told him to fit it in as long it was done by May. Mike kept me in the loop by sending email updates and I picked it up last week. So far, so good. The transmission shifts well and Mike's 2 year 24k warranty gives me piece of mind on an expensive repair. Given that used car pricing is still exorbitant, I'm hopeful my decision to get the transmission rebuild will give our daughter at least a couple more years of use while she's away at college.Service: Transmission repair

My daughter lives in Cincinnati but I don't. When her transmission went out, I wasn't sure who to call. Had it towed to a Nissan dealer and they wanted an absolute fortune. With a Google search, I found Mike's shop fairly close so I gave him a call. From the first phone conversation I knew this was the right place to take the car. I have a Nissan Altima, I called in to get a second opinion from a previous quote from another transmission company. I was provided with upfront straight forward information from Mike. He knew my trans in the car and told me what could and could not be done. His previous years of experience lead me to believe he knew what he was talking about.Mike installed a brand new factory built transmission.
