They were very honest about the major issues my car had, and directed me with what I should do. And I ve been looking at other vehicles, and I ve taken the cars to them on a test drive to inspect. They are always happy to do so. There aren t a lot of good honest mechanic shops out there anymore, but this is one that is good and honest!

Have taken a number of vehicles for service and repair over the years. Clean facility. Most recently had new tires and brakes done and the staff communicated very well with me what options were available for tires and the pricing. After inspecting they brakes, they called to say they were in good condition and wouldn't have to change them, so that was removed from the bill. I really appreciate their honesty in how long a job might take and their communication along the way.Services: Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I had my built Trans Am dropped off here when the transmission started acting up, and the guys at Chardon Square were up front, honest and timely about what the transmission needed. I ended up having to wait to do the repair as it was going to require a pretty big investment, but to my surprise, they didn't even charge for the time they used to lift it up and diagnose the issue. Needless to say, their honesty earned my future business, and I'll be bringing my vehicles back here for all maintenance and repairs. Thanks guys!

Had oil change and tire work scheduled. Guys got me in at the right time and worked diligently to get my car done. About an hours time. Not a bad wait at all! Great personalities. All my questions were answered. Thanx!!!

We had a turbo charger replaced a few months previous. Recently the vehicle developed a coolant leak. Brought in to CSA (Chardon Square Auto) for diagnostics. After a few days, we were advised that we needed a thermostat housing etc. for $980.00. We were also informed that they would no longer work with our warranty company. However an employee stated that he would double check with the owner to see if he would reconsider and get back to us. At this point our vehicle had been there for several days. It was another 2 or 3 days before WE reached out to CSA for an update which we were advised that they will definitely not work with the warranty company. We decided to take our vehicle to a repair facility the warranty company recommended. CSA charged us $60.00 for diagnosing a THERMOSTAT HOUSING, in which the repair fee would be $980.00. ($980.00) The second repair facility examined the leak and stated that the leak was PLAIN AS DAY coming from the turbocharger and it was ON CSA to fix the initial faulty repair. The second repair facility did not charge us anything for their diagnostic work. We brought the vehicle back to CSA and it was hopefully repaired correctly at no charge. We understand that things can be missed, but when the second repair facility uses the words plain as day , it makes you wonder what was actually trying to be done in this situation. Lastly when picking up the vehicle, there was no apology for the misdiagnosis that would have cost us $980.00. There was even a sense of resentment from the staff at CSA.To summarize, we were without our vehicle for approximately 10 days due to Chardon Square Auto s lack of timely communication and a misdiagnosis of a faulty repair that they had done previously. Not to mention that they wanted to charge us $980.00 to fix their initial faulty repair. For these reasons, CSA has lost any of our future business.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

The service people were prompt and took care of my car right away. They were professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, and kind; they answered all my questions, and they took care of the car like it was their own. A pleasant place to wait as well. We live over 30 minutes away and still choose to take our vehicles to Chardon Square Auto and Tire because they have proven to put in good quality, honest work. Every vehicle service we have received has been top notch. Bob keeps us well informed on the details and status of the work being done. We feel their prices are fair and we completely trust the quality of labor they put in. The mechanics work fast and efficient and my husband and I have been very pleased with this business overall. I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but I was very pleased with my recent experiences getting some needed work done on my car. Although they were clearly very busy, everyone that I talked to was very patient, friendly, and willing to listen to my questions and concerns. They had great communication and lived up to their "Peace of Mind" Warranty when a part that was replaced less than a month earlier failed again and they replaced it free of charge. They tell you they only use the best parts to fix your car and they overcharge you to only have the part break not even a year later. Call them and they say they will replace it cause it's under warranty but they overcharge you for labor to fix the warranty part. Almost what they charged to fix the part in the first place. This place is a scam and they will rip you off hard. Will never recommend them and I would stay clear of them if at all possible.Service: Engine repair

Quoted me 15 hours and $2000 for a timing inspection and oil leak repair on a 4 cylinder truck, a job that should take no more than 4 hours. When asked about the questionable estimate they refused service. I would be extremely careful about patronizing this establishment.

These guys are excellent, I went in with a budget of $1,000, and the first estimate they gave me was $1,400 and I explained to them that I was on disability, still paying on a car that I've been paying on for 2 years that has never passed the eCheck, the man Chuck told me that he would do everything he could to get the car fixed and make sure that it would be able to pass the eCheck. After 2 days I got a text saying that the car was ready and I could pick it up and it was under $1,000. They actually got the car fixed for $637 which was well under my budget they were so awesome I would recommend them to anyone especially the people who have a low budget to work with they will work with you at anyway that they can. My family has been going to Chardon Square Auto for years and I am always extremely satisfied with the services received from them. They do great quality work and always treat customers with respect and generosity.This past week when my car broke down and I had to have it towed to their shop, they were very accommodating and squeezed me in last minute to work on my car. Josh was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend Chardon Square Auto to anyone looking for a great auto repair shop who cares about their customers.

Always a great experience. The communication is great and I get photos and reports or what's going on with my vehicle. Pricing is fair and they explained to me in detail what I was getting. We recently contacted Chardon Square Auto and asked them if they would check out a used van that we were interested in buying. Bob made time to fit us in quickly and was honest in his assessment. He let us know what needed done soon and what we could wait on and have done at a later time. He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond answering our questions and addressing our concerns. All this without ever knowing if we would even come back to him to get the work done. We ended up buying the vehicle and yes, we did take it back to them for the repairs. They got the work done quickly and their pricing was fair. We would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Very friendly staff with competitive (usually lowest) prices on auto repairs and tires. More importantly, the staff talks 'with you' and not 'at you'. They explain any issues with your vehicle and talk you through the options without pressure. You don't get the pressure-sales like the 'other places', and very important, you see the same dedicated employees every time (unlike the super-stores). We moved here 2 years ago and have found our "automotive home" at Chardon Square.

Our experience was very positive. We took our car in for air conditioning repair. They called after diagnosis to advise of the problem and the cost to repair, and receive permission to continue. The repair was done quickly and at a fair price, and the air conditioning works wonderfully now. Gregg, who coordinated our repair, was respectful, knowledgeable, professional, and on top of the job all the way thru. He explained everything to me in detail, which is not the treatment I always get as an older woman at an auto service business. I really appreciate the way they handled our business, and can't come up with a single complaint. I highly recommend Chardon Square Tire and Brake for your automotive repairs.

Wish I could have given 6 stars. This is the type of auto repair shop everybody hopes to find. Very friendly, hometown customer service.I'm very happy with the repair done to my Subaru & the pricing as well. They offered me a ride ,they guarantee the parts, & everything was well explained upfront. They even told me to drop in sometime to make sure the fluid levels were still at their level. The folks there actually look like they enjoy working there unlike the dealership where there's a different face every week & all look miserable. I'm new to the area & am so happy to have found this gem.

I have taken my cars to Chardon Auto for years. They have always been competent and professional. I recently took our van in for service. Bob Taylor suggested that the repairs might be covered under our warranty. We took the van in to the dealer and everything was covered under warranty. Thank you for being so honest to suggest that Chardon Square Auto might not be our best first option. We will continue to patronize Chardon Auto!
