These guys.... Don't go anywhere else, period. They replaced the entire cooling system on my old pickup truck in one day. They knew I was in a rental and got me in last minute without an appointment. Personable, professional and knowledgeable staff. Seriously, don't go anywhere else, ever.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

As always Marty, Carl, and Rick made sure our SUV is taken care of and fixed correctly. I have taken my 2008 Trailblazer to them a couple times now and they have diagnosed and fixed the problems. Last year when I bought this used Trailblazer I developed 3 intermittent issues after 3 months and took it to other garages. I was told to bring it back when it was happening, which was next to impossible. I took it to Marty and described the issues and they fixed all 3 problems in one day. These guys are great! They describe to you what was done and why. The service area is always clean and the guys are always friendly and informative.

We have had several vehicles here for preventive maintenance and repairs, all with good experiences. Still, it took our truck burning out the transmission in Colorado on a hunting trip to realize just how great they are at TransColonial. Rick went out of his way to help us make sure that we find a good repair place in Colorado, get a good replacement transmission, and know all of our options for getting back on the road. I can honestly say his help saved us a LOT of money. I have always felt like they were treating us fairly in the past when they've worked on our vans and trucks - now I know that they truly are as honest as it gets. If you need service done on your vehicles, there is no other place I would recommend as highly as this shop.

Repeat customer.Just picked up my Jeep from its latest checkup.Overnighted some parts and came in about 60 bucks over quote. Which, for what I got done, I will take as a spot on estimate. This crew is not only timely and professional. They are also what other shops aspire to be. A pillar of customer service imo.

We have been trusting Trans Colonial for our auto repairs since we moved to the 44023 area 5 years ago. With two older vehicles totaling over 300,000 miles, we trust Trans Colonial to keep them in great shape and running well. Thank you to Rick, Carl, Marty and the entire team for great work and great service!

Top-notch care for your automobile. We have been using their services for years. Always treated fairly. You will get good advice here, and will never be gouged. An unusually ethical auto repair shop.

After reading a few reviews and knowing so many people trust Rick and his team with their classic cars, I decided to take my sons '84 Cadillac Eldorado to him. It had a couple issues but the main one was a sporadically sluggish and noisy transmission. Rick basically diagnosed it just by my explanation. Not only did they fix what ended up being a solenoid in the torque converter as the main culprit, but they fixed the vibration (which I wasn t even aware was related to the transmission) and smoothed out the shift from 1st to 2nd. The difference was immediately noticeable as soon as I drove it out onto Washington Street! Now it drives better and more powerful than ever with great acceleration, especially going uphill! Rick and Anthony made me feel beyond comfortable as they treated it like their own car with their care and attention to detail. It is rare to find this combination of expertise, honesty, and care today. I highly recommend them!!

We have used Trans Colonial for years. Honest, reliable, competent, and they never suggest something that shouldn't be done. On more than one occasion they suggested a cheaper alternative to the repair I had in mind. Excellent service.

I dropped my car off because my air conditioner was blowing out hot air on the passenger side. They kept my car for 3 days and didn t fix my car. I received a call on the second day stating that they didn t know what was wrong with it but kept throwing numbers out saying oh you might be out of $1000 by the time we figure it out or if you come get your car now without getting it fixed then you re looking at $600 and your problem won t be fixed . I ended up going to get my car and paid them $109 because I wasn t paying $600 and they didn t fix my car. I ended up taking my car somewhere else and it was fixed within a matter of two hours and it only cost me $200 and they actually fixed my problem!!!! If I could give you 0 stars that s exactly what I would but I can t so...

My wife's sister's car needed brake work. We took it up to Tran Colonial because this is where the car was purchased. They came back with a quote for $1400 for FRONT brakes only. They also said a bulb needed to be replaced. Cost for this bulb was $25 and $174 to replace it. This garage is BAD NEWS. I took the car to another repair shop and they are replacing the front brakes for $400, labor included. Trans Colonial is only trying to make as much money as possible from you and I would highly recommend you avoid them at all costs.

I had to give a review to Transcolonial to let people know how pleased I am with the work they did on my '84 Dodge Diplomat. When I came in last year with what I thought was a bad automatic transmission, Rick took a road test and correctly diagnosed an old fan clutch in front of the 31-year-old 318 V8. This is the kind of brain work so hard to find at auto repair shops in the 21st century. Rick has been working on cars for decades, he has kept up on the latest tech under the hoods, and he knows how to figure out problems when the computer diagnostics can't.The car is so much quieter I can't believe it, and the transmission is shifting fine again. The old fan clutch must have been on its way out for months, because the on-again-off-again noises, whining, rumbling and chattering were increasing. I had feared something expensive from the front of the engine. But it turned out to be pretty easy to correct, and I'm grateful for Rick's skill.I drive this car to work every day, and more than a year later, the car remains easier to start, it runs smoother and quieter and seems to have a tiny bit more performance. My wife and I take her 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis and my car to Transcolonial regularly for oil changes and other repairs including a bad power window motor. The repair estimates are always accurate and the work is always done on time and well. Transcolonial gets my top rating.

True professionals as such not cheap but if you want the job done correctly the first time this is the place. Took the time to explain what happened, why it happened and what they did to correct it and how they would stand behind thier work.
