The last thing that I told my salesman, Rod Nichols, before I drove off was that this was this most pleasant experience I have ever had as related to the purchase of a vehicle. Rod knew in detail about the vehicle I was interested in and was able to very effectively articulate my questions over the phone. After a 10 minute call I knew that this was the "right one". With the assistance of Tim Smith, sales manager, a deal had been stuck in about another 5 minutes. When my wife and I arrived there were no surprises. The vehicle was as expected, beautifully detailed, fueled up and was certified (1yr and/or 16K mile warranty). A quick shout out to Donnie Whittington (finance manager) also. I paid cash which helped a lot, but we completed all the associated paperwork in 5-10 minutes. I highly recommend the people mentioned above and the organization. One last note. This is a family owned and operated business and the family works shoulder to shoulder with the staff...I like that!!

Once service is completed, Rich takes the time to go over the details with you and answer any questions. Just bought a used truck at Kempthorns. The experience was mediocre at best. I called ahead and the vehicle was ready for me to see when I arrived. I checked it all out and made an offer $1000.00 below out the door cost. I was declined and offered a free oil change. I asked if they would hold it for a day so I could discuss with my wife, and his response was "is the cost the issue" leading me to believe that now he is willing to negotiate. I was honest and said no the price is fine, I really just want to make sure my wife will like this before I buy it. The truck was priced very fair to begin with. I placed a $200 (refundable) deposit to hold the vehicle for a day until I could discuss this with my wife. Later that day I communicated with the salesman who told me the oil change was done and it would be ready at 9am and I'd be there for 30-40 minutes to do paperwork. All sounded good, I arrived at 9a the next morning ready to buy. I signed a few things and then they asked me to go over to the Mercedes building to finish some paperwork. We were an hour into this at this point and I needed to get going. Just before I went in to sign the title work and pay, my salesman came out and told me the cost was actually $50 more than what we agreed on. Pretty lame. I told him I had already wrote the check and I'm sure you can figure out a way to make this work. He did and I finished up paying and walked back over to the VW building and noticed the vehicle was not where it was and the keys we not on the desk. I asked the salesman who was there to reach out to the guy I was working with. He said they were taking stickers off the car and would be back shortly. I thought this was odd since the only sticker on the car was the one stuck to the inside of the window saying sold as is and the price hanging on the mirror. I already felt like they were trying to buy some time, but this confirmed it. If I had to guess they were changing oil, but I can't not confirm that. He shortly arrived and with the car and I drove home.Here's the kicker- When I test drove the car the day before I took it to a friends shop. We plugged in a scanner and checked for any cleared codes that could be an issue and put it up on the lift. My friend asked "what's that oil filter say" I took a close look at it. When I got home I looked under the car and it was the same filter. They very literally just changed the oil and left the same old filter in place. In my 30 years of working on cars I know this is a very cheap and hack way of changing oil. You just don't do that. I would rather them just tell me they don't have/ or are not going to change the filter. Just be honest.One of the first things they told me was the used car I was buying is a trade in and that they detail it and set on the lot. I was told they do nothing to it other than clean it. This was evident, and I was ok with that. As is means as is. I will say everyone I spoke with at the dealership was friendly. I would buy from them again if I had to. If you buy from them just set your expectations accordingly and make sure you look over what you are buying very carefully.

I bought a brand new Volvo here 3 years ago. They are very nice here to deal with. I HIGHLY recommend coming here to buy a car. Never had any issues with service or feeling like they made stuff up to make more money. Very nice and considerate here.

Let me first say i wish i could give this company a 6/5! It was way more then an average car buying experience, this place treated me as if i was a multi millionaire. Jessica and Alisa went above and beyond for me and made the process so quick and easy it made my head spin! That was the BEST customer service ive ever experinced at any business, EVER, let alone a car dealership. As a small business owner i know that a company is only as good as their employees, and these are surely the people you want handling customers and helping your business flourish. Just like the cars they sell, this company is THE BEST, OR NOTHING!!!

Picked up a new Tiguan today! I was lucky enough to have Troy P help me with the process. He said he was new there, but he exuded professionalism, friendliness and honesty. I have a lot of good to say about kempthorn! I recently bought a 2021 mazda cx-30. They were amazing through the whole process. From test driving to taking the car home was a fast friendly process. I couldn t recommend them enough. Rod was so great and kind. This was my first car buying experience and it went great. If you are thinking of getting a new car give these guys a try!

During a recent out of state trip my Mercedes tire was punctured on the high way by steel spike. The alert system was quick to notify me of tire pressure change and activated "mercedes me" SOS while I was still driving on the Interstate. There was someone on the line quickly to assist & Emily @ Kempthorn assured me I could make it to my destination on my "RUN FLAT tires". We got to our destination safely. Thank you Kempthorn motors! What could have been a really crazy ordeal during covid-19 travel times turned out fine just fine with the help of Kempthorn Motors.

Tim Smith sat on my Mother's check for her car for 11 days then mailed it after we called July 28. He had said 5 days on July 17. we got it August 4th. This is how they treat an elderly 20+ year customer.They blamed it on the mail on my first call. My second call they still didn't know where it was but could we just wait a few more days. My third call the finance lady confessed what had happened after not returning her promised call. Tim left it sit....Edit 10/10/2023: She's still not heard from you...
