I've been a loyal customer of Muffler Man in Athens, Ohio, for an incredible 20 years, and I can't praise their team enough. From regular scheduled maintenance to custom vehicle needs, Paul, John, and the entire muffler team consistently deliver exceptional service. Their expertise in mechanic repairs and custom muffler installations is unparalleled. The dedication and skill they bring to every job make them stand out. Paul at Muffler Man is honest and very capable. If he can't do something within a reasonable time or amount of money, he will tell you upfront. He will not string you along just to get more money. I recommend him to all of my female friends because he won't cheat them. If I could give them 100 stars, I would!

I was nearing the end of a cross country drive when one of my tires went flat. Luckily I was by the exit where Muffler Man is located!Thank you so much to Paul and team for all of the help today. Everyone went above and beyond and I was able to get out of there within 2 hours.I am extremely grateful for the help today. Thank you again!!!HIGHLY recommend the work here. They do an excellent job and their service is unmatched.

Muffler man is always busy which is a good thing, because they do great work. Prices are very reasonable. Wait time is minimal and if it takes longer they will let you know. I will not hesitate to take any of our vehicles down to Muffler Man. Thank you!

Helped my daughter with her Jeep from what I was sure was going to be a new transmission. John found a bad wheel sensor and repaired it for less than $100. Professionalism and honesty. Highly recommend this place for car trouble!!! Thank you Muffler Man and John!!!

I feel so grateful and indebted to Muffler Man for helping my daughter, a student at OU. She had recently gotten an oil change while at home in Pittsburgh for Thanksgiving break. Afterwards, she drove from Pittsburgh to Columbus, then to Athens. Once she returned to OU, she complained about smelling fumes in the car throughout her trip through Ohio. We told her to take the car to a mechanic ASAP, yet feared she may be taken advantage of because she s a young woman with no knowledge of car mechanics. She called Muffler Man in Athens and they were able to look at her car the following day. They immediately found the problem: an oil cap that had been laying loose on the engine since the oil change in Pittsburgh. They checked the oil level, inspected the condition of the engine, and thoroughly cleaned the oil spatter from under the hood. They didn t charge her a cent. They told her they were amazed she hadn t suffered catastrophic engine damage or perhaps even an engine fire, considering how far she d traveled without an oil cap in place. I highly recommend these guys to any parent who has a child at OU with a car issue.

Never been before, came in without an appointment. They got me in, got the necessary parts, did the replacement I needed in a couple of hours for a really reasonable price, and did minor maintenance like filling my tires without me even asking. Watched them interact with several other people while I was there, and everything I saw was very honest and helpful and willing to work with people. Seems like a great place, will definitely be back for any future work.

Oh my goodness. All of these guys are wonderful in here- made me feel welcome and comfortable, and very very easy to talk to and work with. I recommend this place with everything I got. Come and see these guys. Amazing experience and quality work. I appreciate the time they took to make me feel understood and to give me a rundown on what was happening. Shop is terrible. Everything is over priced the work is terrible and the owner is racist . Don t go hear there are plenty of shops that can do better work for a better price

Wonderful service at reasonably low prices. I had a broken flex pipe and was handed a $900 quote by an another place for replacement. Muffler man did it for $130. Isn t that WOW?The service is first come first serve and they open really early in the morning. The service was really quick for my SEDAN.

I live in lancaster and purposely drive here to get my mid muffler deleted. Got my car woken up after the process. Very busy place, I was lucky to get my car in on time. FYI be there super early. Friendly stuff as well.Highly recommended to everyone...Clean waiting area as well.As already mentioned first come first serve...

First they were very professional and nice on the phone when I asked to bring my car in. I came in for an oil change and to get my shifter cable replaced. My shifter cable had been struggling to shift to park the week before. He called me a few hours after I dropped my car off and said there was nothing wrong with it. It did seem strange that it was no longer struggling the past couple of days but I wanted to get it checked anyway. So he only gave me an oil change. This tells me he did his job and didn t want to just take my money. He checked if it needed replaced and was honest with me that it didn t. He changed my oil, topped off all my fluids and put air in my tires and called me back a few hours later to tell me my car was ready. I was able to pick it up the same day and it was only around $35 which is such a good price! He told me if I see any more issues with my shifter cable to come back. Their business was professional, friendly, honest, and fair with pricing. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!!Services: Transmission, Oil change

These guys really are the best! They're extremely knowledgeable on a lot more than just mufflers and exhaust repair/replacements. We're older and we've dealt with them for a very long time, even before they moved to their current location. We've also helped our family and friends get acquainted with them and learn they can trust them. Trust means a lot these days! Paul, RJ, John & Mike are the best team in Athens for your automotive needs and concerns. They're always extremely busy because they're very good at what they do, while being very reasonable in repair bills at the same time!Services: Exhaust, Tires, Brakes, Oil change

Muffler man is always a great place to bring your car for repair. They do all sorts of jobs, at a very fair price. They are very friendly and will explain exactly what needs done. They don't mind showing you the problem if that's what you want. If you're staying in the waiting room, it's clean and there is a TV to watch. The bathroom is nice and clean.

I discovered I needed two upper ball joints on my vehicle 2 business days before moving across the country. These fellas got me in the next day and at a very fair price. I know they were backed up with business, but they took the time to do the job for someone in a pinch, and do it fast! Unlike nearly EVERY OTHER business in Athens, they were on time and did a professional job. Highly recommend.

Amazing shop. We needed an oil change before a long road trip and found them on our route. They were polite, professional, inexpensive, and quick. We ate muffins while being there and also discovered their lobby is a great place for an impromptu dance party. Highly recommend whether you are from the area or out of town.

I took my car here because I was hearing a horrible noise coming from my car. I was expecting the absolute worst (having it kept overnight to work on & costing hundreds of dollars). I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up my car after work, that it took maybe 5 minutes and they were only quoting me $10! No random up charges for misc. things & the staff was super friendly!!
