These guys are long standing in a world of high turnover and disappearing acts of the automotive service industry. Being busy is a good thing, you know you can trust them to do a great job.If you don t want some else working on your vehicle you are reserved the right to DIY always. The oil change that the vehicle was taken in for was fine. However, they tried to sell me brakes on a vehicle that had them installed less than a year ago, and on top of that, the vehicle sat for three months after getting them done. They also told me my tires were shot. There s probably another season left on three of them. One is almost new. I m still trying to define their definition of shot . Kinda hard to trust this shop now. I think they saw a college student, and assumed they were naive.

Be careful taking your vehicle to to APAR Automotive Repair! They lack honesty and professionalism!!I took my car there the other day to figure out a gas leak. They called and said without dropping the tank, he thought maybe it was the fuel pump which would cost more bet $900 to fix but he wasn t for sure yet. I said ok, drop the tank and when you know for sure call me because I need to talk it over with me partner. He agreed and hung up. Hours go by without hearing back. My partner and I talked over our options and ultimately decided the car wasn t worth putting in over $900 right now. So finally after waiting nearly 4 hours I call them back. A different man answered the phone and I ask for an update on my car. He says Yes we re almost done with it now. I said wait, you replaced it? And he responds with yes, I was told you ok d the repairs I said no, I asked for him to confirm the issue and call me back. After much back and forth they told us we would have to pay for the taking the new part off and the old one put back in on top of the initial dropping of the gas tank. So if we wanted to car back without the new part it would be over $300 otherwise we d need to pay the $900+ for the new part. Then they called back and told me that if I wanted to scrap the car they d do it for me including getting it towed. They d waive the $309 and pay me $100 for the car. After talking it over we decided that would be our best option right now. We were told to get the title signed over to Gary Hetsler and they d get it scrapped for us. We did it and got our $100. We were frustrated that they put us in the position and they were not apologetic AT ALL about their lack of communication.Today, 2 days later, a friend of mine said they saw someone DRIVING my car around town. It still had my faded bumper sticker on it. These people did NOT scrap my car at all!! They lied and mostly likely sold it to someone for a profit. I will not be going back there in the future and I highly encourage others to not trust them.

Made an appointment for a wheel alignment and dropped car off and after 3 hrs with no phone call from them decided to go see what was going on. Well they never pulled it in the garage. They said they were to busy with something else. You would have thought they could have called to let me know. Basically can't make an appointment because they might or might not get you in. You won't know whether it was looked at until you decide to go back and check because their phones must not work.Service: Wheel alignment

Treated unbelievably! No one spoke to me about what the problem was. I knocked on the door politely 2x no answer. 3rd time I used the palm of my hand and got screamed at and told they were pulling my car out and refusing to service it. I feel bad for the young guy that pulled it out. Worst experience I've ever had!!! I drove 30 m for THIS?Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

The shop did a water pump on my truck early this fall through the PRC program at Job and Family Services. Today we all know that we're experiencing 30 below zero wind chill and these guys did not vacuum fill my truck with coolant and now it's overheating and not making heat and spilling coolant everywhere I do not recommend this shop for an oil change. Not only did they hang up on me but they called me every name in the book including swearing at me and telling me to go f myself. Also they claim 20yrs in the industry, and cant even drain an fill a cooling system properly to insure all the water was out. I'm out a vehicle because of this!! lesson learned on my part do not trust this said "established" shop! Backyard mechanics!

Roy and his crew kept my junk Honda Ridgeline running for years. Now he can do the same thing with my Silverado! Quality work at an understandable price. I'm sure you can find lower labor costs if you shopped around a little bit. However your probably not going to get the thorough services that you get here. They've been in the business for well over 20 years, that's just the years that I can vouch for as a customer. They definitely know which end of the wrench fits best! They also keep their equipment updated to stay in touch with and ever changing and evolving industry.

Roy is always happy to help. He is honest about what he expects before opening the hood and will always call before making any changes. Quick service and does his best to squeeze you into the schedule on short notice. Always have gone to him and will continue!

While driving from Cleveland to Cinci the car my boys was driving just stopped. They were SURE they had plenty of gas. We had the car towed to APAR. It was a Sunday so we left the car and continued home. Upon evaluation APAR determined the gas was too low and had shifted to the rear of the tank on a hill. I was a little nervous about sending the boys 3 hours each way to pick up the car. The boys got the car filled up the tank and drove home without issue. It's been about 3 weeks and the car runs fine. I'm thankful we got the car to a place that was both competent and honest!

Needed a safe and dependable mechanic to get my daughter home for Easter. Even with a full schedule they got her on the road. And I discovered they love Jesus in the process. Service was great. Technician was very informative. If you dont go for the service just stop in and check out their wall of signs. They were great to read and helped pass time while waiting for service to be done. A++++ All way around.

My truck lost its water pump and was making a grinding noise when turning while I was traveling. I needed the work done so I could get back on the road that evening. The guys at APAR got me in within the hour, found a bad wheel bearing that would have been catastrophic on my return trip, replaced not only the water pump but the thermostat, housing, and belts, and had me back on the road within 3 hours of my phone call. Made it home with my kids safe and sound, with cabin heat, thanks to these guys. Thanks!

These guys are so great to work with! I've been taking my vehicles to them for years now and I couldn't be happier. I know very little about cars and they somehow figure out how to decipher my ridiculous descriptions of "what's going on with it?"Highly recommended!!

This place literally saved my life. Was driving from Louisville, KY to Boston, MA and my car started overheating and smoking in the middle of nowhere Ohio. Went to APAR when they opened and they had my water pump and belt changed in a couple of hours. Dude even gave me a ride back to my hotel even though I literally walked in there crying. Made it to Boston in the car and it hasn t started overheating once.

Cannot not Thank these people enough for helping us today! Heading to Pennsylvania for a family funeral on I71N when we hit something on the interstate and really messed up the van! They went above & beyond their duty on helping us get back on the road with a rental car and woking with our Insurance Company such Gracious people!! Thank you does not seem quite enough!

APAR always does a fantastic job! They are quick, reasonable, and helpful. They are great at communicating clearly as soon as they know the issue and price. APAR is the only mechanic I use in Ashland!
