We highly recommend Lind Automotive. Our van was making a rattling noise when we idled and accelerated, and took it to Tuffy in Gahanna because they diagnose for free and it was the first place we could think of. They called us and quoted us $2200 to fix the problems which they said were "play in the timing belt tensioner and play in the a/c compressor." No matter how many times I asked them to explain to me what "play" meant they just kept saying it.I searched for a second opinion and came across Lind. I called them and told them what Tuffy said and they quoted us $1400 (already way better). Then we dropped our van off and the mechanic said, "if your a/c is working (it was) then I doubt it's the a/c compressor." They called us to say it was ready at the end of the day and said that the a/c compressor was just fine, no problems, and instead they replaced the serpentine belt in addition to the timing belt tensioner. Final cost was about $800, just over a third of what Tuffy quoted us.The van sounds great, they did the job quickly and well, for way less, and most importantly they were honest.

My experience with Lind Automotive was great! They were already booked for the day, but made time to diagnose my car, and they even did the repair the same day! Amanda and Mr. Lind were friendly and helpful, they were both knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. I would definitely recommend them!

This is a comment to Kym, get a life I work in technical escalations at a Internet Service Provider and I am so tired of people like you complaining about good service, but because you feel so self entitled that you find reasons to complain. I drive a Cadillac CTS and its no joke how expensive it is to fix this car at the dealership, Bill has saved me a lot of money and I know that most of Gahanna agrees that they do good work. What you need to do is take yourself to the hood and let someone work on your car there bet you won't get your car back in one piece, if you get your car back, so lady take your complaints to the devil because like him I have no sympathy for you.And in addition I bought a corvette and I will be taking that to Bill and Alli as well, so lady your only excuse is that you are developmentally disabled for your behavior.

Words can't even explain how impressed I am with this body shop. They figured out the problem quickly, explained everything to me and answered all my questions . What they charge is very reasonable. I had a similar thing happen to a different car about 5 years ago and they charged me double what Lind's price was. They had the work done in about 1 day. Never going anywhere else.

Every experience I've had with Lind haa been a POSITIVE ONE!!! Very nice and knowledgeable mechanics and they do top quality work. And they never ripped me off because I'm female. I've ran into people who try to do that. Whenever I need work done on the SUV, I'll bring it right back to Lind!! 4.8

Blower motor for the heat/AC went out during negative temperatures. Called 6 or 7 other repair places (including Nissan Dealerships) and never got a call back or email for weeks. Called Lind Automotive after reading their reviews and scheduled service. Day of drop off comes and I was expecting lengthy part ordering and delays but was floored when they said they'd have it taken care of SAME DAY!Wonderful experience from beginning to end and my heat was back just in time for Ohio to be 40 again . Highly recommend!Services: Auto A/C replacement, A/C installation & repair

I usually take my car to this place for any car repairs since I know they cost less than taking it to the service dept of the Ford dealership. They will always call with the nature of your car's problem and your authorization to fix itHIGHLY recommend to anyone

Very happy with service! The front lady is the best - super friendly and smiling and most importantly knowledgeable! She patiently answered all of my questions and the mechanic even came out and explained to me how the water pump works on my car, it was great experience.

If there is a better auto shop in the Columbus area I will never know as I will not take my vehicle(s) to anywhere other than Lind's. They have done 5-7 services for me over the past four years and every single time they have went above and beyond expectations. A family run shop that does great work at an amazing rate. Cannot recommend them enough.

Great service and great staff except they did not plug in part of my evap purge valve which caused a very annoying noise and check engine light codes. It was easy to resolve but definitely a terrible overlook by the technicians. Price was pretty good for what they did fix.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

I am not usually a reviewer, but Lind Automotive deserves a shout out. I have taken my vehicle to them a few times now and every time they ve been awesome to do business with. They are always professional and make sure they get the job done right. They have always shot me straight on what s needed to be done to the vehicle and never play games price wise. Ifyou are in the Gahanna area, support this local small business.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Bill is really great. He is very kind and charges honest prices. I took my car o the dealership at they told me I needed almost $3,000 worth of repairs. I took it to Bill for a second opinion and he was over $1,000 cheaper. He does great work! The only thing I would mention is that the service can be a little bit slow and they aren't very quick to call when your car is finished or they have an estimate. But that is expected from small shops. I highly recommend Bill with Lind Automotive.

I am updating my initial review as the owner of Lind got back to me promptly and was willing to make the situation right. Back story for context is I purchased our 2006 Honda Odyssey in November and brought it to Lind's for an inspection. After the inspection and having new struts installed by them I noticed issues with the front passenger side of the van. The issue ended up being a missing axel nut which got me pretty upset. After talking with the owner he mentioned they wouldn't of touched the axle nut so I am not sure if it was purchased that way and not caught when I brought the vehicle in for inspection or if it was never put back on the vehicle after the struts were installed. Either way the owner was willing to come in on his day off to make the situation right. Even though I was initially upset, I am now very impressed with the level of integrity and customer focus that this company has. Overall I would recommend them for this reason.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Great place. They do what they say they are going to do. Charge fair prices. And are very busy because of of those facts. I know it's none of my business but any reviews that are not 4 & 5 stars I have to wonder about. Seriously, they give a great warranty and show genuine concern. But I guess some folks would rather pay more (almost double on some services) to have their behind kissed and or lied to, and receive the same or worse quality work done at another location. That's fine..it just means that the rest of us can get in sooner. I would never consider taking my car anywhere but Lind.

Been taking my vehicles here for the last year or so and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. I think it s the owner or his wife I deal with each time and they always take the time to explain to me in detail what was wrong and what I can do to prevent other issues. I always used Monroe before I found these people from all their rave reviews online and I haven t looked back!

I had several services done, the alignment was not done properly and my two front tires went bald within 3 months. We took it back, they stated it was done wrong and would do a free alignment. I had to get the two back tires put on properly then they could move them up to the front and do a free alignment. I followed up left a voice mail to get this schedule and no reply. No call back. I had new tires put on the back and moved the tires up. I tried to call but the voicemail is full. I need to get this alignment done so their poor work wont ruin another set of tires. So in response to your reply I checked the dates on the recedes from the inside out tires to your repairs though the tires were put on 1/19 you did the repairs on to 2/28 at the time of the repairs no one mentioned that the tires were on inside outside. So I would think after that review of the timeline you would cover the cost of the tires do the alignment for free, I've sent a message through messager.

We had a recommendation from Lexus dealer for over $4,000 worth of maintenance after getting the oil changed. We decided to go to Lind s for a 2nd opinion. We needed $1200 worth of work and that work was priced at 40% less than if we had comparable work done by dealer. Fair and honest and thorough. They also noted the $95 oil change we paid for is $55 at their shop. Highly recommend Lind s!!

Among recent repairs was a complete ABS system replacement on a Hybrid vehicle.I have taken multiple vehicles to Lind over the last 5 years. The first time there, they earned our business by telling us something didn't need replaced that the Dealer insisted was defective. Lind fixed it for $60 instead of $500 that the dealer quoted. Prices are very reasonable. Unless it is a warranty item, Lind gets all my vehicle work.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

These guys are top-notch. I live in Delaware and still drive down to them when I need work done. Honest, reliable, and good character. They didn't know me from Adam when I walked in the first time and they gave me a fair and honest assessment of the work needed to be done. Then when we ran into a problem with the repair, they went above and beyond to make everything right. If you're looking for a new mechanic that you can trust then this is the place to bring your vehicle. I send everyone here that will listen.

My Jeep isn't great, but every time I've taken it in they've done very good work for a fair price, and they never try to upsell. Once I asked if they could install components that I personally bought, and they happily did - most shops in my expereince wouldn't be so kind. All in all, highly recommended

Every time I have had the option to have service done on my vehicles. Their prices are fair, they tell you what you actually need as opposed to an upsell. It's what small business is all about good solid people serving a local community.

Bill & Ali at Lind Automotive are great. They're very knowledgeable about what is most likely the issue and keep you informed about the exact issues once they get into the car. They have very fast turn around times and will often stay late to ensure you're not without a car for too long. I've had them fix a wheel bearing and a broken window regulator so far, but I'm sure I'll be going back to them once my clutch goes and for other repairs that I just don't have the time or tools to take care of myself. Highly recommend them for all Gahanna people. Thanks again for the expert repairs!

They are wonderful! The first place I went told me fixing my heater would be a minimum of $500, and that it might not work, and if it didn't work, then the next thing they'd try would cost about $1,200! Bill fixed it for well under $200, and even made suggestions about what I can do to keep it from breaking again. I will never go anywhere again! Thank you Bill and Ally!

I have a 2013 Ford Focus with 61,000 miles on it. I was driving on 270 and out of the blue I had a full transmission failure. I saw that Lind was close to where I lived, so I had to the car towed there to be diagnosed. With the car being completely incapacitated, I was at the mercy of the repair shop. Within the day, they called me back with good news that they found that the transmission had an extended warranty put out on it by Ford. They gave me all the information I needed said it would be covered in full if I brought it to a Ford dealer. The people there were down to earth, and they have %100 earned my trust and business for any future service I'll need. Thanks guys!

Took my truck here to get fixed. After driving it for about 20 mins it seems to have a loss of power. I dropped the truck off and the owner said it would take about a week until they could look at it. I said that was fine. After two weeks go by I called to see how it was going and they said the drove it for a little bit but could not find anything wrong. He said he would look more into in the next few days. I waited another 10 days, tried to call numerous times (went to voicemail each time) and even submitted a request on their website and never hear back. I drove back to their shop and after having it for a month they really didn't try to look into it.I guess they are too busy and don't need my business.

They may be a small shop but they can take on even big projects in a timely manner with real attention to quality. They're priced very fairly and the owner and the service writer are very knowledgeable. If I can't do something myself, I'll take it to them and they always get it done. They are very honest with you and won't sell you what you don't need which is hard to come by nowadays.

Bill is the best! I've taken my car in to Lind Automotive twice and both times have received fast, honest service. The most recent time was to have a squeak in my clutch taken care of. I had been told by another mechanic that the slave cylinder needed replacing and it would be a $500 repair. Bill found that the clutch fork just needed some oil and charged me $52. The squeak is gone. I'll be returning to Lind Automotive for any mechanical needs on my car in the future.
