So had my car there for a self diagnosed lower control arm and ball joint replacement with alignment. This was in October. It s four months later and I have to replace the part again. When it was installed the ball joint was not seated correctly nor the proper bolt put in the spindle to retain it. I worked for another Tuffy for 7 years I am also ASE certified and have 20 years experience. This was not a proper repair nor could the alignment been correct. I have had both lower control arms/ball joints repaired with a full synthetic oil change at another service center, for the price that I paid for one control arm and an alignment. I am hurt that a company that I put blood sweat and broken bones for now does this type of work. -Michael (Julie s boyfriend)

I am always confident my car is being well-serviced and checked over whenever I bring it into Tuffy/Amherst. Being older, it means a great deal to me to feel assured my car is in good hands.

Got an oil change today. Not a very friendly guy. I didn't even know what they charged for an oil change. they didn't top off fluids never did a vehicle inspection per the $10 coupon. How Rude to charge $73.00 for just an oil change. Apply $10 coupon, charge $4.27 for shop fees. ???. Then tax.. gee I saved $.60.. receipt doesn't explain what they did beside cost. I won't return nor recommend... Cheaper at the dealership where I used to go. Surprised the guy was able to say thank you which I'm sure hurt his vocal cords..

Had gotten an oil change done at a different auto shop and they messed up the crush washer which caused me to lose all of my oil in my oil tank. Tuffy s got me in and was able to fix the damage quickly and barely charged me anything. Super professional team and provided me pictures, videos, and the damaged parts so I can make this other shop compensate me for damages! Thank you so much!Service: Oil change

The employees were relatively friendly and explained what they were doing to my vehicle. However, they charged me $26 to cut a piece of a plastic splash guard off of my car that was dragging on the ground, which I could have done myself for free. I was hoping they would fix or replace it, not remove it and then proceed to overcharge me. I can t speak for larger services but I most likely will not be returning.Service: Body & Trim

Wouldn t recommend paid 400 bucks for nothing. Yes my car is a used car but none of those things contributed to the issue of why I brought my car in not very nice seemed just worried about the money then told me to clean the underside of my OWN car after I brought it back in because there was still smoke coming from my car. It wasn t overheating I needed my engine cleaned didn t even check to seem if my car was not smoking after they fixed it . Just so rude because by the looks of it people just blame the customer instead of saying they misdiagnosed that s a whole 409 bucks down the drain for an issue that was really a 30 problem. They fixed that big problem and it didn t change anything.

Stopped by this place just to see if they were able to repair my trucks broken exhaust without just replacing the whole thing, and sure enough they were. Great job, quick, and the price was right. I will definitely be back!

I had such a great experience here today. I was previously at another tire place down the street that didn t have the tire that I needed and I would have had to wait until Tuesday to get my car fixed. I called Tuffy and spoke with George who checked to see if they had the tire on hand and they did. I was able to get in and out. They are very caring, efficient and helpful. I will definitely be back for services again!

Since I moved to lorain i took my 2007 toyota camry here. My car had lots of issues like engine and some mechanical issues. They diagnosed the problem perfectly and solved it. I feel like i'm driving brand new car. They are so effiecient and punctual. This is a perfect place for me. I would like to say thank you for George and his crew member.Mieraf Asefa

I usually turn my own wrenches on my vehicles. But this time i needed an Evac and Recharge for the AC. So i figured while it was in, change the oil and rotate the tires too. George and his Technician got it done, checked around while it was on the lift making sure the suspension was tight, advised on what maintenance my car would need towards end of summer i.e. tires/brakes.very professional, fast service not did not try to upsell on what isnt needed. Not many auto shops like that around. will be returning for more work in the futureServices: Auto A/C recharge, Tire rotations, Auto maintenance, Oil change

We were towed to Tuffy Amherst after our Honda decided to burn up a spark plug while heading east on the Interstate. We were really impressed with the friendly courteous prompt service provided to get us back on the road in a timely fashion. These guys really cared about our situation. Very impressive!! I have taken both of my car's here, they are fast and efficient.George the owner took time out his day to address a misunderstanding I had, and he was very polite and made me feel like a valued customer! I will continue to take my car's here in the future! Thanks George..

Went for a complete brake job & Oil change. All done in a little over an hour, brakes have lifetime warranty AND at the BEST price around. George is the guy to see for automotive needs.

This place and their staff are amazing. I was having a rough day after blowing a tire, they were so helpful and kind I immediately felt my stress melt. The prices are affordable and the service very fast yet thorough. I cant thank them enough for turning my bad day around.

I've always used tuffy for getting my oil changed, but this time I did it myself.However I was in for a nasty surprise as I found out my oil pan drain bolt was completely rounded off, and I really had a hell of a time getting it off.I'm not blaming tuffy for rounding the bolt but I'm just curious why they would put it back on and not say anything about it.

I've been using this place for over 5 years, and they are the most considerate, helpful mechanics I've had to date (and I'm 61).They are always friendly, informative, fair in their pricing, understanding and accommodating. I recommend this shop to everyone for everything from simple maintenance to hard core repairs.Great job Guys!@!!

Everyone at Tuffy was great. I stopped in because my brakes were squealing and within a half hour, they had my car diagnosed. With new brake pads and rotors installed in about an hour, I was ready to go. Great, fast, friendly, and affordable service!

Took in for check engine light/ABS light/shifting issue/ speedometer not working.Explained my issue and was told sounds like the transmission Keeps truck for a few hoursThey call and say we figured it was the transmission so we didn t look any further Charges me $57 after tax for this. What am I supposed to do with this information!***Terrible diagnostic. Complete waste of time.***Would not recommend.

Once again back to Tuffy Amherst and once again left happy with my car fixed....right the first time! The service is great and the prices are fair. To me the best part is being greeted with a smiling face every time I stop in!Thank you George, Aaron and Team Tuffy for keeping me and the wife on the road!
