The building is more than fifty years old so there are a few cracks in the foundation. The beds have the zipper bedsheets that keep bugs out. A microwave and refrigerator in every room which was fantastic. They have smoking rooms and non smoking rooms.Rooms: Cable & wifiFood & drinks: Not a lot of restaurants nearby.

Awful. The room was pitifully small. Lousy bathroom. Not even a space on the sink for my toothbrush. I'm not sure what was going on with the staff. I think they lived next door in some adjacent hotel apartments or something. Every time I needed something they were walking in groups to or from the building next door. Wierd. Rotten experience. We heard the trucks all night on rt 52. The bathroom floor was nasty. Missing tiles. When we turned on the heater we smelled mold. We didn't even use the shower after looking at it. Gross. Gross. Gross

I stumbled across this cute little motel while traveling to Kentucky. I must add that I just love these kinds of older little motels. The room was very clean at a great price. You definitely can't beat $60.00 for the night with a checkout time at noon. They offer a small breakfast from 6 am till 10 am. The front desk lady was very nice. If I ever come back this way, I will be back for another stay.

This was almost a good find. Started out great, but it was short lived once we got in our room. The entire time, it sounded like there was a hard of elephants trampling around above us. Turns out there were 4 kids in a separate room from their "adult supervision".. per the clerk at the front desk. Initially we weren't offered to change rooms, just a phone call to the family asking them to quiet down at 11pm. We checked in at around 7:30pm. It didn't bother us until we tried to go to bed for the night...9:30 10:00pm. We had to be up at 5:30-6am; we're truck drivers. Finally about midnight, we were offered a new room because my husband called back to the front desk. That room was much better, but come the morning.. you still heard every little movement from above. Not complaining about that person!!! Just be aware that it is NOT sound proof in this place!!The bed were very hard. The sheets in our first room were old & scratchy. The sheets in our second room were good but very thin.. which made for a chilly sleep.Disappointed. Won't be returning.

Not a bad place. Rooms were good and no negative issues.The lot outside could use a good clean up.I guess I would stay here again.

We stayed here for a single night Aug 06, 2022. When I checked in and said I was going to be paying by Credit Card I was told there would be an extra charge. When I asked why the clerk said most people were paying by Credit Card which had a fee so the owner was loosing money. He then said the prices were based on paying a 3% discount. If a room is say $100 and you take off 3% for paying cash that makes it $97. 00. If there is a 3% credit card fee on the $100 that is $3.00 so unless my math is wrong, it is a wash. You still have a net of $97.00.The first room we were in the A/C stopped working so we were moved to a new room which was a bit of a pain. The WiFi connection was very bad, we kept getting disconnected.There was very few electrical outlets which made it difficult to use my laptop and charge our devices.There wasn't anywhere to hang our jackets.There was only a shower, no bath tub. The toilet was very close to the sink.The people in the room next to us were very noisy.Next time if staying in the area I would be willing to pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

The staff was very nice, and you can tell the grounds are well cared for. Unfortunately, I asked specifically for a non-smoking room, and it smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke I couldn't hardly stand it. The sign in the room said "non-smoking" but it felt like smoke was coming in all night. I thought it would get better when the heater came on, but it only got worse and worse. When I mentioned this at check out, they said "there is a smoking room right next door." Hmmm... maybe separating the non-smoking rooms into a block would help? The room was very small, but clean and could use updating. To get to the toilet you had to do a sideways limbo around the sink! Lots of cracks in the shower tiles, but it was nicely clean. I was told about the extra pet fee - but thought $25 extra is pretty high, most places only charge $10 for my dog. The in-room heater worked okay - but the fan only had one speed, very high and very LOUD! And the doors really need a security lock on the inside.

A very nice motel. Staff is friendly and helpful. She lets us know there was a festival 10 minutes up the road. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Beds could be a little softer.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pillows however, was so wore out that pancakes are fluffier.The room was small, but I was in a room with just one bed. The bathroom was very small. You had to kinda slide between the sink and toilet to to use it. The shower had almost no water pressure. There is most definitely a need for repairs and updates. There was no phone in the room, outlets were located in the floor and inuse. The only outlet I could locate was in the bathroom. The bathroom had any actual window in it, that opened. It was a plasent surprise. There were no bugs of any kind. Very clean. I would stay again, but for a short stay. The staff was super friendly.

Nice place. If you're put in the 2 story building get the 2nd floor. My bed was not fully stripped in either room i got. Dirt and beer caps told the tale. But very good location. Nice staff. $50 deposit if you've never stayed there. Pay it in cash so you get it back when you leave. Mini fridge with separate freezer and microwave.

Cheap price and free breakfast! It wasn't enough to fill you up, but enough to get you going. The rooms were very clean, I was impressed for such a old motel. The water pressure was very weak but it did the job. The patio area and outside was clean and neat. Very impressed with looks considering it's been on the family for generations!!

Not what I was expecting after reading the reviews. My room had a colony of ants in the bathroom. Staff sprayed the area right away after I brought to their attention. Many repair items and phone in room didn't work. Appears to be people living at the motel full time instead of a traditional apartment

This place is really nice for its price. Your not getting luxury but I was comfortable as soon as I walked in my room and the front desk clerk was very accommodating. When we showed up it was after midnight the sign said"sorry we are closed. So When I called to ask if any rooms were available she explained they were closed. I asked if she knew any hotels near by, and he response was, how far are you? I explained we were out front and she opened the doors for us to get a room. The rooms were very clean and older style building. Very unique. I would stay again if I was in this area. Plus they have breakfast. Love this town. Very very friendly people and great hospitality.

The man at the counter had a small amount of trouble locating my reservation because I booked online, but it only took a few minutes to figure it out. Calling for a reservation will be simpler. I inspected my room carefully. I needed a safe place to stay that was clean. I got a non smoking room and it was very clean, no funny smells. no bugs, nothing to worry about. I felt very safe there. the bathrooms don't have tubs but they do have a shower that is pretty nice. I would stay there again.Oh, and there was fresh fruit at the breakfast.

Appeared to be a clean place. The staff was kind. Our room was VERY disappointing because our door would NOT seal. That was disturbing on so many levels!! The continental breakfast wasn t much at all, and definitely not diabetic friendly. (I realize that is the norm! Just disappointing.) there was one 2-pack of sausage biscuits, the only protein in the room.If we returned I would like to see the rooms to actually have doors that can be locked without much concern someone could easily break in. Also, the rooms smelled like smoke and we had a non-smoking room. Just disappointing.

I made a reservation and wasn't any problem. This is a very clean bug free no frills motel. Staff is very friendly. Quite and comfortable. Have a nice but basic breakfast. All I can say is the price is right and would recommend it to everyone I know. Stop in on a bike trip its perfect!!!

Never had a bad experience here, staff has always been good to me but I've had a new person every time. Stayed here before I drove 6 hours to get on a boat, usually skipped their breakfast but they do offer. Close to some places to eat anytime of the day. Right across the river from Maysville.Only issue was houeskeepers or maybe the motel staff opening my door, and last time the fridge still had someones juice and food in it.

Newly remodeled rooms if you can get past exterior. Had a cricket or frog chirping all night in my bathroom and that was after I had called the front desk to stop the music festival that went on for 2.5 hours from arrival until 9:15pm from people just hanging out on the sidewalk just down from my room. To their credit, the motel staff did get them to turn off their music.

The motel wasn't too bad. The only complaint I had was that once in the room on the side where the room numbers were in the teens there was absolutely no Wi-Fi in the rooms. I went to the front desk and asked if they would move me or discount my stay or something to rectify the issue and the only response I would get that it is because of my cellular carrier and I would try to explain to them what wifi is for but still nothing. If I was able to I would have gotten a refund and went somewhere else but they stated that it was non refundable.

How is a "2 Star" hotel spanking the big chains with 5 star ratings from real people? It's all about value backed up with an awesome staff. Ditto to everything else people had to say good. And the room is AMAZING! p.s. call them directly they are way less expensive direct than what any site offers.

Ridiculous has bad this was. The first room they have us has the drawer fronts broken and missing from all 3 pieces of furniture and incredibly old mattress and bedspread. We insisted on an updated room which we did get. The updated room was nice but the mattress was horrible and very old. Literally had busted springs. The rooms upstairs have wood floors and they were partying all night long. Of course that wasn't the fault of the motel staff but the place was 3/4 empty and the staff should have spread people out. The free breakfast was pop tarts and Brown bananas with the smallest coffee cups on earth....Update 12/17/18 my body still hurts from their mattress.

Nice, quiet, simple little motel. No bugs, clean rooms, very nice staff and at 49.00 a night you can't beat it. Also much nicer then the motels in West Union KY. where is was working at, for a better price.

The front desk guy was definitely nice and welcoming! But unfortunately the room smelled of must/moldy, the towels had stuff on them and the linens didn't look as if they've been washed.
