Got transmission work done here, they did a fantastic job and had it done within 5 days! Highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for an awesome mechanic in Williston! Thank you Borderline crew for taking care of the people.

Had a problem with some codes on my truck just before our Arctic air blast. Called on a Friday, said they could get me in Monday morning first thing (unheard of in this town). Knowledgeable, friendly and an overall very great customer experience. Would definitely refer and recommend to anyone!

Dropped my truck off to get axle seal and shocks installed.Who ever worked on it didn't do a very good job , don't know if it was lack of experience or what his deal was.Had to bring truck back to get it done a second time and I can say that they treated me very good and Andy stayed late and got me back on the road.Started off rough but in the end they stand by their work and I'll continue to give borderline my business.Thank you @Andy

Staff was nice. But there prices are crazy high. They charge 30-40hr more per hour than almost every other shop in Williston. I understand shops up charge on parts but they re damn near double Napa and carquest prices. I m sure they do decent work but at these prices it d be cheaper taking it to the dealer. Only upside Is they were able to do diagnostic 1 day after I called which now makes sense considering how much they charge

Had my vehicle for 4 months on a "fit in". I had put a motor together and something went wrong, hoped they could straighten it out. Took them a couple months to get on it, then I get a call that they ran the valves in to the pistons a second time. Had it for 2 more months. Would call and get excuses about the guy Corbin not being around and such. They claimed they got it together and the wheel alignment and transfer case seal was done, but their dyno guy quit. So they didn't know when they could tune it. Got a wrecker, went to go get it, wanted to hear it run before I paid them. It ran, albeit poorly. Lots of lifter noise. They said it was running too lean to tune. Got it to another tuning guy, they agreed it was running lean. I took it home, found out the wheel alignment wasn't done despite me being told they threw it in for free because I was dissatisfied with the service. Also the transfer case seal had not been touched. The reason it couldn't be tuned is because of the vacuum leaks. This Corbin fella didn't bother to tighten down the throttle body, or the intake manifold. I found this out after chasing problems for a day I borrowed a smoke machine and had an ASE master mechanic with 20 years of experience open up his garage so he could witness what we found. I tightened all the loose bolts and smoked it again. No leaks. Lifters still making noise. Changed oil, still noisy. Got it tuned, tuning guy got it to run decent but still had issues with only one bank. I made it a little further but it constantly needed to have antifreeze added. The troublesome bank later saw two of the lifters come apart 4000 miles later. I paid 3800 to these incompetent fools when I needed help the most because my hands were laid up from surgery. When I took the motor apart, I found not only missing bolts in exhaust manifolds and pieces of insulation or something stuck in the surface where the head gasket meets the head. I now need a new motor. Debating what my next approach is going to be, but I feel like if they called me and had a crate motor shipped that would be fair. Spoke to 2 other shops with dynos that I will not name that stated they have taken in work that borderline had previously screwed up. Absolutely, under no circumstances, take a vehicle to this shop. Changing stories, dishonesty, poor workmanship, attendance problems etc should not plague a shop as pricey as this one. It is cheaper to have your car towed to Minot for mechanic work as these guys tried getting 200 an hour out of me. For pure incompetence.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

Visit was a mess, misdiagnosis that cost us a ton more money, time frames got blown, two trips to alignment shop to get it aligned. Two return trips for warranty work on incorrectly installed parts. Communication from the office is terrible, you have to call them for any information. God forbid you have them order a part, office won't call you back when it finally gets there you have to call and check on it and set the appointment up. Used to hear great things about them, wont ever return there, unless of course I have another warranty claim which I'm not holding my breath.
